Review:Jaymin Eve / Leia Stone don’t pull any stops with the 2nd book in the NYC Mecca series! Some characters you will love and there are some you love to hate!
Arianna has a little problem….She’s a wolf attracted to a Bear and a King as well! And the stakes are high! Especially if it’s forbidden to have a relationship with one person she wants to have one with!
And with not one but two enemies and a mecca that is unstable. It’s not going to be easy to keep everyone she loves safe not only f... Read more
Review:Probably the best thing I learned from this book is just how much the female brain is constantly changing. I feel like I understand what is going on in my mind (and those of other women) so much better now, and what has been happening thus far in my life.
The author organizes the book very well, starting at the beginning of life and going through to post-menopause, and she explains her findings very clearly. The only "minus," in my opinion, is that she takes an evolutionary viewpoint, which d... Read more
Review:This book is short as many reviewers point out. However, it is not short on wisdom. In fact, it is loaded with powerful insights, analogies and examples that illustrate universal truths. It also embraces the reality of mystery and paradox. It doesn't try to explain them away and encourages the reader to avoid killing the "alivenss" of the world by putting too many things in boxes (i.e. concepts). Instead, it encourages an attitude of openness, wonder and awe at the miracle of life and seeki... Read more
Review:This book never grabbed me the way "The Glass Castle" did. I don't think it is appropriate to judge someone else's life. That is why I am issuing three stars for the amazing ability to complete a novel. I found myself bored many times throughout the story and I felt it ended very quickly after so many years. I would have liked more of the after story. What happened the day the Mom finally leaves this earth? How did they all find their mates? After such a troubling childhood, "what happene... Read more
Review:Enjoyed this book. Was a long wait after book 1....hopefully book 3 isn't such a long wait.
While reading found several grammar errors and the text size in the paperback is not consistent which is annoying while reading. Read more
Review:I liked this series but this story could have been much better. I had a lot of issues with Brock.
1....I didn't like how he hid behind Jillian's skirts and didn't own up to his part in what happened to her. Because he wasn't honest about what happened how he let her walk out of a bar at 9:00 at night by herself...he could have ran after her and at least made sure she got to her car safely and not to mention there were 2 cops there also who could also have made sure she got to her car. ... Review:Jennifer Armentrout is one of my "auto buy" and most owned authors. Her writing style is addicting and I've always found her novels, whether Young Adult or New Adult, to be enjoyable-even if they are formulaic. That being said, Frigid was a HUGE disappointment and the absolute worst of Armentrout's novels that I've read (possibly one of the worst novels I've read period). The characters are annoying and lack depth, and the plot is one hundred percent predictable. There was absolutely no question... Read more
Review:Official review coming if I have time.
This one really was a tough read at times. Alcoholism isn't a light matter. While this was not my favorite Armentrout novel, I did really enjoy it.
The characters were intriguing and Armentrout is a great author. This one was a little bit deeper and less funny than a lot of her other books.
Definitely not a rom-com, but I enjoyed it. Read more
Review:Each one of these books gets better and better. I loved Roxys character in the last book and am so glad she was given her own story. Her and Reece are smoking hot! What's not to love about a sexy cop and a sassy artist? Read more
Review:Audiobook
Okay, man this audiobook was so sappy, kumbaya, I felt like I was getting a sick stomach. I thought maybe there would be some grit or a really good plot deviation towards the end but no, it was another everybody loves everybody scene. I don't know if I didn't like this book because I'm a bitter old woman who doesn't believe in storybook romances or if it's because I'm a realist, but this book was definitely not my favorite.
The narration was good. Read more
