Review:A delightfully scary version of an ancient fairytale. Hansel and Gretel with a twist that no mother would read to a toddler but perfect for that mother to read with all the lights turned on. A great "storybook"! Read more
Review:The Scorpio Races is an absolutely breathtaking book. Puck and Sean are both incredibly alive; I never felt like they were just characters on a page. Every background character had that sense of life.
I’m pretty sure we’re all familiar with the magic of Maggie Stiefvater’s writing; The Scorpio Races is no exception. Every part of this book, especially Thisby, the island Puck and Sean live on, breathes with every page turn.
I LOVED The Scorpio Races. Much like The Raven Cycle, it re... Read more
Review:After a short introduction this book sucks you deep into the story. Very quickly you find yourself hanging on every word, waiting for the next realization. An amazingly fast-paced page turner with a very strong plot. Gladly anticipating the second book! Read more
Review:I am a big fan of the writer under her other name and have read many of her series. However, this may very well be my favorite book out of them all!! I cannot wait for more. Zara is a lovable heroine who has had her world turned upside down. The characters are so thought out and no one is perfectly good or perfectly evil. They all have grey like real life. If you love fantasy and steampunk you must check this book out!! Read more

Review:At the end of The Gifting, Tess and Luka realize that they aren't crazy - they are simply part of The Gifting. But the real question is, what does that mean?
This book immediately dives into an action-packed hunt for answers. First Tess and Luka are forced to escape as fugitives. Then, they must piece together the puzzle of what connects them. That means putting themselves in great danger, half way across the country. Along the way, they learn that they are not alone. And that their abili... Read more
Review:The Book of Lost Things: The lost things, yes, as well as the sometimes "LOST" passion, dedication, and charming pleasures in reading a good and well-written book. It is difficult to find the "one adjective" I would use if someone were to ask me to resume this novel in one word. I read a lot of books (and of all kinds and genres), but very seldom (unfortunately) I feel a sense of melancholy and nostalgia once I have finished it. These mixed feelings, after all, are most positive. I think that on... Read more
Review:I loved it! I read the whole thing in one sitting in about five hours. Worth it!
Writing: I thought the writing was beautiful and unique. The story concept itself was very original, and I loved the mystery within mystery. I'm usually pretty good at guessing how the story will turn out, but this one lead me down so many different paths that I wasn't able to figure it all out until the very end. It was surprising and creative, which earns big points from me!
Characters: I liked the m... Read more
Review:If there's one book that you need to buy , it's this one. No, scratch that..... Don't even bother getting one, get the whole series. This series never disappoints unlike some books that's really good but when you get to the next book, it's just plain boring. This series will keep you up all night for its fast pace, intriguing, the characters are lovable, it's witty, and it's simply beautifully written. Do not miss this series. I'm on my last book and will be getting the other series from mr. O'... Read more
