I'm usually a calm reader when I read books. I might weep a little or laugh aloud on occasion, but I rarely wind up acting like I did when I finished The Dragon Heir. Review:I was sharply disappointed in this last book of the series-especially since I enjoyed the first two preceding books. The plot was boring-battles here, there, and everywhere. Kali was complaining to herself about how ill and cold she constantly felt but even in her weakened state was able to defeat the demon so that he had to flee the city. Ah, really? Review:Unfortunately, I just didn't get into this story. I will be honest, I'm just not a fan of the whole teacher/student relationship. I most likely would not have purchased it knowing that. But to be fair, it was written well and there is a lightness to the characters that is good. It was kind of true to life in that people are often to be quick to judge people based on hearsay and appearances instead of getting to know someone. If you don't mind the teacher/student thing, give it a shot. :) Read more
