Review:Tijan has done it again by giving us another amazing book. This was like a puzzle and while you start to piece everything together, the big picture becomes clearer. Shay is a very special girl that is very unique. Kellan is her "brother" who keeps a watchful eye over her. His goal is to always protect Shay no matter what. Kellan is the alpha male who is extremely loyal. Somethings aren't always what they seem. Kellan and Shay share a very special bond. What happens when people try to destroy tha... Read more
Review:Childhood friends turn to lovers story. I enjoyed the beginning but bottom line I was disappointing from this book.
They started out as great friends you can see the connection evolving and I liked it but at the present you learn that as friends they have zero communication, no trust they both make decisions that I cant understand. It's like their friendship disappeared, we learn that there is a lot they are not sharing with each other (like her dating... while he tells her about his sex life... Read more
Review:I am not a person who typically writes reviews. How ever I just wanted to say that I really enjoyed this book, and personalities of all the characters. The story is written with good flow, and you definitely do not get board reading this. Book 2 is good as well as book 3 which I am almost finished with. Read more
Review:I kept waiting to be 'captured' by the character in this book, but I had very little empathy for him, or connection to him. The story seemed to drag on and bog down in mundane events. I really TRIED, but haven't made it past 2/3 of the way through. I plan to finish, hoping there will be something redeeming in it's ending. The general grammar is bad and sentences are jumbled and don't flow. I hope this was an intentional effort on the part of the author - if not, I can't imagine how an editor wou... Read more
Review:Like most of McKinley's books, Outlaws of Sherwood starts off a bit slow, but this is mostly because her Robin is not the perfect hero envisioned by earlier tales. Ultimately, McKinley's careful character development and deliberate threading of various stories makes the tale that much more intriguing and so much more satisfying at the end. None of her characters are their stereotypical selves -- how easy it would be for Little John to be only large and silent, or Marian merely willful! I have... Read more
Review:What can I say about Christopher Nuttall, either you love him or you hate him. His books span fantasy to sci-fi and more. You always know what you are going to get with him. A solid story and interesting characters. Read more
Review:While I, mostly, enjoyed reading the series I found the writing to be somewhat inconsistent. It felt like the author was writing one, or more, books at the same time. Two instances, in particular, stand out. One where she says Jeremy is interning at his father's company, but in another book he was a banker. The second one was so obvious, I question whether it was the same author. In the first chapter of the first book Belly says her brother Steven taught her to whistle really well and how pro... Review:I read The Summer I Turned Pretty (the first book) && LOVED it. However, the sequel was somewhat of a letdown. There was really no substance to the character's relationship like in the first one. It was mainly just about trying to save the summer house after the boys mom passes away. Now, don't get me wrong, I was ALL FOR them saving the house, && glad they did. I just didn't think that was the only thing the book needed to revolve around. I think the conflict between Conrad &am... Read more
Review:Waterfall is an exciting book that begins a fantastic series (River of Time Series)! I fell in love with the characters. Personally, I love the romance, humor and action as much as I love the story! This book is clean fun! You would think a time travel story would be confusing or hard to believe, but this one is so real. I had to download the next book immediately & ended up reading them all! Here's the good part....each book is better than the last! I can't say enough how good this s... Read more
