My Best Friend's Exorcism: A Novel
My Best Friend's Exorcism: A Novel

Review:I cannot express how much I enjoyed this book. I was in high school during the 80's, so reading this brought me right back to my teenage years. I loved the pop culture references and the fact that the chapter titles were 80's song titles. The book begins and ends with yearbook pages which I read both before I read the main story and then went back and read after to see what character names I recognized in the yearbook signings.

The pop culture references and neat packaging aside, this is... Read more

Blind Alley: An Eve Duncan Forensics Thriller
Blind Alley: An Eve Duncan Forensics Thriller

Review:This time Ms. Johansen gives us a little mysticism along with Eve, Joe and Jane and her usually diabolical and 1/2 step ahead villain. Jane is now 17 and has just gotten her driver's license. Eve and Joe have always said Jane was "10 going on 30" from her life experiences and that factor is taken advantage of in this plot.

An international serial killer is murdering women and removing their faces. Eve is asked to reconstruct one that is found nearby and imagine her shock when the face ... Read more

Pushing Brilliance / The Lies of Spies / Falling Stars
Pushing Brilliance / The Lies of Spies / Falling Stars

Review:Kylle Achilles is one of my absolute favorite heroes and Tim Tigner truly is one of my favorite Thriller Authors. I have read each of these novels individually and rated them excellent. Now is your chance to get them in a 3 book set for basically the price of one of them. You won't be sorry. I compare Kyle Achilles to Jack Reacher, Jason Bourne, Dan Roy and all of the other great thriller characters, with Achilles usually at the top. Read more

Grim Tidings (Aisling Grimlock Book 1)

Review:This book had me laughing until I cried several times. A fan of the wicked witches of the Midwest..I'm so glad I have this a chance. Amanda Lee's books are like a cross between Terry Pratchett and Janette Evanovich. I am a huge fan and cannot wait until the next installment of Grimlock's. Read more

Cold Harbor (Gibson Vaughn Book 3)
Cold Harbor (Gibson Vaughn Book 3)

Review:Following Gibson Vaughn through all 3 episodes of this series that go from bad to worse and far as Vaughn's life goes kept me in suspense for the 3 days it took me to read all 3 books. This may be Mr. Fitzsimmons' debut as an author but I sure hope it's not the last we hear from him. I wouldn't even mind hearing more about Gibson Fitzsimmons and his new "family ". Read more

Gunmetal Gray (Gray Man)
Gunmetal Gray (Gray Man)

Review:I started reading the series just a couple of months ago. Each one got better than the previous. A quantum leap with Back Blast and now better still. I like the way that possibilities have been set-up and can't (but I will) wait for the next one. Read more

A Novel (The Red Sparrow Trilogy Book 3) - The Kremlin's Candidate
A Novel (The Red Sparrow Trilogy Book 3) - The Kremlin's Candidate

Review:I eagerly awaited the third book of the trilogy and it held me in place, turning page after page, looking up the unfamiliar words as I went and feeling the tension, passion and anguish as I went along. There is a subsequent story to be told and it is inconceivable that the author will forego telling it. I await the fourth book...and then... Read more

Treasured Find (Shifter World - Royal-Kagan series Book 1)
Treasured Find (Shifter World - Royal-Kagan series Book 1)

Review:I really liked Nancy Corrigan's 'Treasured Find'. It was cute in some parts and suspenseful in others. I liked the twist of the royal shifters and the single shifters being in contact with the gods (by blood or by communication). I can't wait to read the other stories in the series and learn more about royal shifters. Read more

The Scattered and the Dead (Book 1) - Post Apocalyptic Fiction

Review:Definitely had me hooked from the first page ~ voraciously read the entire novel within a week! Every page had me salivating for more! However, was a bit of a letdown on the ending! I'm a big zombie fan so yes I'm biased but there's an actual storyline & makes you think! No spoilers here ~ go get your own copy! Read more
