Review:When Brenna was young she was attacked by a wolf. A scar mars her neck and the damage leaves her unable to speak. Years later, her stepfather deems her "ugly" and sells her to a group of warriors.
"Who were these men, these great warriors who had bought and paid for me? The arms around my body were strong and solid, inescapable, but the gold eyes looking down on me were kind. The warrior ran his thumb across the pad of my lips, and his fingers were gentle for such a large, violent looking... Read more
Review:I've read shifters series before and loved this one! The alpha meets his match! Drug dealer frames an undercover enforcer. She meets many new friends and falls in love! Have to read to find out what happens! Read more
Review:Katie, juvenile and annoying. Xaphan, weak...and annoying.
If you want me to like a psychotic, murdering (not in self defence) b*$%@, don't make her so annoying!
I'm going to stay away from this series. Read more
Review:I have read almost everything this author has written and I was pleasantly surprised by the unique storyline. Ella seems almost childlike but no wonder, she has not had a lot of good childhood experiences. It is a wonder she is such good natured but accepting of the evil things in life. This story had a great plot and unique characters. I enjoyed it very much. Read more
Review:What's happened here? This book read like a detailed description of Anita having sex with anything in pants! It seems as though the author has lost track of purpose of her main character; there's no romance, little conflict and almost no story. Only in a fantasy could this many supposedly gorgeous males spend so much time and effort making sure one female got laid AND by as many different partners with no jealousy issues. If you're determined to read this, go for the first few chapters, ski... Read more
Review:Love Anita Blake but I found myself trying to speed read to the good parts. Don't get me wrong, I love the characters and am a huge Anita Blake and crew fan but too much romance not enough action here. Read more
Review:I bought these for my home bound daughter (age 21) and she loves them. She now has the complete set thanks to Amazon. Definitely have to be a reader of vampire stories to enjoy these but they are a great set. We are already looking forward to future releases in this series. Read more
Review:I have always liked Anita Blake as a series. I have made excuses for the books. I can't make them any more. This is by far her best writing in a while that is not pure sex. It is also not a book. It is a scene and the aftermath. In her indulgent manner to release this as a 24 dollar book is to show how much she does not care for any of her readers. The essay and comic on how she writes and the situation that served as the impetus for the book are okay if you want to know. But to show us t... Read more
Review:Started reading this series last summer thought huge series won't run out of books to read, boy was I wrong. I was caught up in no time and left desperately awaiting the next book. If you love supernatural love stories full of action it's a must read. Can't wait for A Shade of Vampire 50!! Read more
Review:Pretty predictable and rushed. Too much fluff about how much someone loves someone, or how proud someone is to see how they've grown. Ok, we get it. And of course everything works out in the end and everyone is ok with everything. Need more plot twists or more internal struggles or something! Read more
