Mythology & Folk Tales
Review:I have been struggling for the last couple of months to find books that start great and finish great. I have brought so many lately that have fizzled half way though I can say this was definely not the case with this book. The characters were great and Nathan is wow but I do like Alec. Cant wait to see the outcome between those three but hope it is Nathan as I am team Nathan. I hope that Alec can have some one as well though.
I can wait to for the next book to come out. My only hope... Read more
Review:This series is seriously addicting! It has a different spin on Seraphim than I'm used to reading. Most books that contain Seraphim kind of follow along the same lines but the author really shows originality not only in her portrayal of them, but the other types of characters contained in the books. It makes for a very intriguing plot & keeps you hooked throughout the series! Read more
Review:I skipped many parts of the book due to repetition and the painfully slow pacing of the story. I didn't care about, or like, any of the characters, gods, or otherwise. They were mean, pathetic, and weak until the last moment and by then, I didn't care. Mean father, mean neighbor, mean boss, mean mother-in-law-to-be, mean girlfriend (used him to annoy her mother but didn't love him). His so called brother/alter ego...mean. I didn't care if they changed. I did like the ghost, however. She was ... Read more
Review:This telling of a fantastical saga through time and among feary races was exhilarating! Action packed, it was a heartfelt story of deep love, friendship and the bond of shared hardship. A fantastic read, I never wanted it to end!! Read more
Review:This book will make you think. It is well written. I loved the main character. I felt like she was someone that I could relate to. The plot was thick with excitement. I did not quite expect it to unfold as it did. I love a book that can surprise me. The pets are an interesting part of this tale. I think it was great how Lackey worked them into the story. This is so like and unlike Snow White all at the same time. It is one of the better Snow White rewrites out there. Read more
Review:Mercedes Lackey has a great concept with her 500 kingdom books. Each time I read a new one I enjoy finding all the little aspects from different stories that she's woven into the book. It's truly excellent!!! Read more
Review:This was exactly what this series needed. As a long time fan, I was not entirely thrilled about the last book. It did grow on me after a few rereads, but it didn't have the same instant fall-in-love with effect of the previous installments. This is an absolute return to what made this series great in the first place, and it's going to be torture waiting the year or more until the next one comes out. :) Read more
Review:This story is the beginning of an epic tale. Although we get all of Harlow's story here, there are many questions still waiting for answers. Hopefully the next books won't leave us looking for answers! Can't wait for book two!! Read more
Review:A well written short story that really gets you involved with two great characters. A mermaid and a lady dying of cancer. It was interesting to learn the story of Kate and why she was the last mermaid. A great story I received a free copy for joining the author's mailing list Read more
Review:This adventure is non stop, page turning action. Kesh is wonderful fun to get to know. She's brash, intelligent, and a survivor. Her story unfolds and each revelation is a surprise. And if course, Kesh finds she's become attached to two very sexy heros, whom she shouldn't fall in love with. The bad guys are horrible fun and the good guys irresistibly gallant and hot for our heroine. Kesh has secrets that threaten to tear her apart. Is she really who she thinks she is, or is her humanity going to... Read more
