Bellman & Black: A Novel
Bellman & Black: A Novel

Review:Loved this story. Held me from first page to last. I've finished it as I sit by my father's hospital bed. He breathes still, but whatever comes, I am comforted by the final pages if this wonderful book. Read more

The Weight of Blood (The Half-Orcs Book 1)
The Weight of Blood (The Half-Orcs Book 1)

Review:I just finished reading THE WEIGHT OF BLOOD. Incredible action sequences. The blossoming relationship of Harruq and Aurelia is fascinating, especially when she is taunting his every move. Qurrah's fall to darkness is an interesting one, as he thinks he must be a destructive force, falling into the stereotype of his mother, an orc. Harruq's weapons, Salvation and Condemnation, are slightly akin to Salvatore's Twinkle and Icing-death, in this writer's opinion.

I am very much interested to s... Read more

The Land: Catacombs: Chaos Seeds, Book 4
The Land: Catacombs: Chaos Seeds, Book 4

Review:If you have read any of the previous installments in this series you know exactly what to expect with the fourth book. Kong does a great job of keeping the series fresh and avoiding letting the story get bogged down. The characters keep growing and changing in new and satisfying ways; while the world gets bigger as well. Overall another well done book. Read more

The Land: Swarm: Chaos Seeds, Book 5
The Land: Swarm: Chaos Seeds, Book 5

Review:This series is amazing and keeps providing more reasons to keep reading. I am in love with this series. The copy-editors really missed the mark on this volume. Several times I had to stop my progression through the story to figure out what was meant to be conveyed. Read more

Magic Rises (Kate Daniels)
Magic Rises (Kate Daniels)

Review:This was a fantastic read...no holds barred, major character dies, everyone is in the book and plays significant roles, big magic, big problems, big solutions, in-depth relationships, more "family" problems for Kate, more steely resolve....I only read it 4 times.... Read more

PARACOSM: Bleath: The Hauntings
PARACOSM: Bleath: The Hauntings

Review:I liked this story although it was unusual. It was definitely suspenseful and a bit creepy. Especially the kids who could make their own fantasy world with their minds. The adults were weird and had a reason for inviting Zoe to come to their town and do research on the kids who had psychic abilities. It was sad that Karstan who acted like he was so interested in Zoe was setting her up to be sacrificed. Luckily Rohan helped her to escape but she was still stuck in the past and knew she would... Nuclear Ashes Book Three (Life After War 3)
Nuclear Ashes Book Three (Life After War 3)

Review:Since coming across the first book on a freebie list several months ago, I have purchased each of the other four books, and devoured them all ! If you're a fan of survivor stories, this is a great one. Angela really knows how to put the reader into the moments and allows for the reader's imagination to free-style throughout. She takes the time for character development and knows how to make you love some, and hate others, while allowing her characters to change your mind about them later on! Th... Read more

Waking Hours (East Salem)
Waking Hours (East Salem)

Review:Dani is a forensic psychologist in the small town of East Salem when a gruesome murder of a teen girl shocks the community. She teams up with ex-football star Tommy who she crushed on in high school.

It kept my attention but still took me a couple of weeks to read and I didn't exactly have any trouble putting it down. The writing style was a bit graceless but okay and you get the feeling the author wasn't that comfortable with the supernatural elements of her own story. The characters'... Read more
