Fairy Tales, Folk Tales & Myths
Review:I read the first Fablehaven book back when it initially released. I think I consumed that book in the matter of a single day.
At the beginning of 2017, I started re-reading the series again and was absolutely shocked when I learned that Dragonwatch would be released in March.
I finished this book in less than half a day and I absolutely love it! It's a perfect continuation of one of my favorite series.
Looking forward to the next book in 2018! Read more
Review:#partner #kidlitexchange Thank you @kidlitexchange for a review copy of this book. All opinions are my own. School is out for the summer, and i am finally piecing together my somewhat complicated feelings for this book. With Dragon Rider, the patient reader is rewarded. This is a slow-moving, beautiful, character-driven story of friendship, trust, and believing in magic. Firedrake is a dragon living in the modern world who is looking for a new home for his community of dragons. He brings the bro... Read more
Review:Enjoyable & easy read. Its detailed account of people & happenings kept me interested. The characters are relatable and I would recommend to my grandchildren. It's suspenseful without gruesome violence not foul language. Read more
Review:This is a terrible childish book I'm struggling to even get through. Structured like a bad movie. With lots of "hold on while we move from room to room" garbage. If your a more sophisticated reader don't let the reviews trick you into buying this book like they did for me. Read more
Review:My family is reading this series aloud before bed every night. The stories are wonderful and the characters are much more rich and complex than those on screen, which is a shame for the latter. That said, I highly recommend this series to anyone with even a passing interest.
Cheers,

Review:I loved this book! I am a recent college graduate and I am looking to become a elementary school teacher. My fiance got this book for me to mark my next step. Not only is it funny, it is well illustrated but the plot is a kind of predictable that makes the book more enjoyable. Loved it, can't wait to read it to my class! Read more
Review:Great condition and exactly right for my nephew. The bad guy is actually called The Bad Guy. Subtly educational and much more interesting than the regular I-Can-Read books. His parents don't mind reading it every night! Read more
Review:When Billy Bixbee finds a tiny dragon in his bedroom, his mum tells him, "There's no such thing as a dragon!" This only makes the dragon get bigger. He grows, and grows, and grows, until he's bigger than Billy's house.
Charming text and playful illustrations by well-known author-illustrator Jack Kent is a terrific story that demonstrates how a little attention can make a big difference, no matter what size the problem.
As mentioned, Billy awakes one morning to find a dragon, the si... Read more
Review:The illustrations in this book are SO cute! The price is great for a kid's book too. I bought this as a baby shower gift for my future nephew. I figured it'd be perfect for a baby boy. This feeling has been thoroughly reinforced after seeing the book in person! Exactly the quality you'd expect from a Little Golden Book. They've asked for books with a message written inside in place of cards, so how perfect for the new baby to have his first message from "Aunt Crunchina" be in a dragon book!
