Review:Cohen is a true original. These poems written after twenty years of not publishing poetry often take the form of songs. They are written in short rhyming lines in short stanzas, stanzas often being four lines. They sing of love and longing, of aging and the search for wisdom. They have brilliance and irony. A good part of the work is dedicated to the time that the Jewish Cohen is studying and living in a Zen Monastery in California on Mt. Baldy. But Cohen is no blind follower of any teacher and ... Review:There are many anthologies of "Best Loved" poems. I was hoping to find the Kindle version of the book that my English teacher gave me in high school around 30 years ago but this wasn't it. This anthology seems to have selected one poem per author as "best loved" and I can't say that I agree with the editor's picks, though it does have many famous poems in it. I have been selecting poems at random and have not read the entire book, so it's possible that parts of the book may be different than ... Read more

Review:What an absolutely great afternoon read. I loved the story, the characters and everything just flowed so nicely and the best part was so many smiles. I especially liked the way the vet dealt with the situation...twisted that bad boy right around her finger and got exactly what she wanted - a HEA.
Piper Sullivan always comes up with the best characters who enchant you and pull you right into the story. There is plenty of push-pull, lots of laughs along with a strong female lead in a man... Read more
Review:I have certainly begun to appreciate the ease in which Cheryl Bradshaw's books flow from one scene to the next, fitting perfectly and not dropping the reader's concentration. Her boyfriend's daughter is murdered, and then another murder attempt is made on the boyfriend (a chief of police) at his daughter's funeral. Surely they're connected, but how? You won't put this down for long before you pick it back up. Read more
Review:The solution of too-many green eyed children. Although the true irony lies in Britain's use of the Irish as one of several slave classes for hundreds of years. They should have realized we would out breed them at some point. Read more
Review:I'm reading this for a college assignment. Hate it. Hate it. I don't see why anyone likes it. I'm not Italian or Middle English. Give me a modern translation. If they can translate the Bible into readable English, surely they can translate this. Read more

Review:Loved this great collection of horror stories by some legends of the craft, as well as some lesser known writers (to me at least). I love short stories, and this collection certainly satisfied by need for the horrific and gory. All proceeds for this book go to a great cause as well, so I just had to pick it up!
If you're looking for some good horror to while away the time without reading a full-length novel, consider Rage Against the Night, it's well worth your time!
Two thumbs up!... Read more
Review:Whether or not you will enjoy The Three Musketeers depends on two factors:
1. Vocabulary: I've read pretty widely, and in some cases the 'classics' are unbearable to read simply because it does not flow. It is very hard to concentrate on the plot or the characters when you have to think about the language being used. Thankfully, this is not as much of a problem in Three Musketeers. If you don't read classics at all, this may not suit you.
2. Length: This is the unabridged verson, it is a v... Read more
