Review:This book is wonderful. A history, a set of short stories, personality and culture all in one. I was sad when the book was over because i wanted more. It is a journey, travel log, and personal insight that make this book a keeper. Read more

Review:an appropriate read for children of the era of the time it was written, but....where's Josephine in Napoleon's story for instance?

Review:This majestic book speaks volumes about the creative mind and ingenious sense of style of Tom Ford. Images within this high-end volume include all of his innovations for Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent not only in fashion accessories but also in how they were modeled and displayed. In other words, he took the most mundane of notions, such as sunglasses, and made them into iconic needs for the rich and famous. He used only the finest photographers - Richard Avedon, Mario Testino, Steven Meisel, H... Read more
Review:Wonderful book! If you like Tony Hillerman's novels, you should check out his daughter, Anne's books. She has picked up on a couple of his characters and made them her own in her two recent books; both are terrific reads. Read more
Review:This book is a poorly written piece. It is nothing more than a promotion for the singer. Review:Bought my girlfriend this to sort of surprise her. She's always loved the movie and she showed me the movie and that was my first time watching the movie so I looked into it more. I found out it was based on a comic series of the same name so I decided to buy here this. She's already read most of it and she is just in love with it! The character and the art design is what she loves the most! If you're a fan of The Crow, I'd suggest picking this up for any fan! They'll enjoy it for sure. Read more
Review:This is definitely a beginners guide. As a more advanced photographer I felt the written text was simplistic at best, certainly geared to those with lesser knowledge of the subject. The worst part for me though were the images. I found many to be flat, both in lighting and inspiration. Since the authors are clearly capable of producing much better imagery, both technically and compositionally, I have to question their editing choices. In a book titled Extraordinary Everyday Photography, the ... Read more
