Review:This is a coffee table like book, and during cold winter nights, when there is nothing on television, I find myself flipping through and studying the beautiful photogrpahs. However, it's just photographs. The short stories or descriptions are few and far between. I guess I epxected to read some of Ansel's thoughts about his approach and technique; what was he thinking while composing a picture. I guess I'll need to find another book for that... Read more

Review:Mark Wilson is a famous and highly respected magician who has many decades of experience, and he wrote a classic book that will introduce beginners to the basics of all areas of illusions. He covers a little bit of everything (cards, coins, ropes, mentalism, close-up, stage, silks, water, vanishing, sleights etc. etc.), and provides simple illustrations and even patter. He occasionally has diagrams from the perspective of the artist and the audience, to help keep things clear. Even experience... Read more
Review:We found this book a delight for anyone let alone a Harry Potter fan, The popups are truely amazing as we collect pop up books this is something we will be able to read for many years. I think it needs careful handling as some of the pop ups are rather delicate but apart from that a great gift or purchase for anyone Read more
Review:This book is filled with incredible illustration's. My 12 y/o asked for a 'how to draw dragon's' book for Christmas. I was hoping the step by steps would be a little simpler, but if this book doesn't inspire her to draw dragon's I'm not sure that there is one out there that will. Should be said that (for me) attempting do anything more then doodling on paper has always intimidated me and my prejudice on the lvl of difficulty of this book could just come from that. In fact, best that I return and... Read more
Review:Gives tips on how to tackle sticky situations with clients, how to back up your brand and shows thought processes and behind the scenes rough sketches in different designers' processes. A good read for any logo or branding designer. Easy to read, just the right amount of complexity to make it a valuable resource (so not just for beginners like many other branding books). Read more
Review:These books (two of them) covers every subject you always wanted to know more about. Great for Doctor's office or red lights. The material is short and full of knowledge.
I great present.

Review:Nice art, very similar to Adam Hughes. Story is bland and nothing new. Same old Paradise Island origin story with a bunch of PC elements thrown in to seem hip and edgy. Morrison doesn't add anything worthwhile here. So basically art is nice, story and concept is boring and trite. This seems more like a throwaway run by a fill in creative crew for the monthly series, not a graphic trade edition. Read more
Review:Can't recommend this book enough. Even after a long day being *~creative~* at work, I always look forward to coming home and doing my 1 page (uhhh sometimes more like 2-3 pages.. oops) in this book. Great for keeping tabs on where your mind is, if you're into that sort of thing. Read more
