Review:Tilda's husband died in an accident. A year later, she moved into a small cabin by a lake that was meant to be their dream home. It was only after moving to the small Welsh village that things began to happen to, and around Tilda that she had never experience before. It started out farily small, timepieces that stopped working, electricity that suddenly became temperamental. He computer became difficult, but that is the way of computers, so it took me a while to decide that was connected with he... Read more
Review:I enjoy historical fiction, anything supernatural, and anything celebrating feminine power or energy, so this was right up my ally. This book centers on Bess, a modern-day witch with a long (as in 400 years) and tragic past. We learn of her past as she tells it to a new, contemporary student of hers, a young girl who wishes to become a 'hedge witch', focused on the herbal healing arts and rituals. Bess is capable of much more than this, and as the story develops we learn why and how as she tells... Read more
Review:I really dislike these people who sold this book to me. First of all, I got the book from them that was promised as new and it had a huge red mark on it. And second of all, it took a very long time to ship and by the time it did I already had to go out and read it for a book report. Would rate zero stars if it were possible. Read more
Review:Written beautifully, captivating, intelligent, exotic. Our heroine is just beginning to learn who she is, who she can be. I am sure the author will continue to take us on that magic carpet ride in the next book. I cannot wait. Read more

Review:I felt depressed throughout the book. I did not like any of the characters and was sick of hearing the whining from Joanna. Nothing grasped me in the book making me want to read ever single word. I actually just started skipping through pages. I even tried reading through the adult content and felt like I was reading a magazine. Save your money, the description is more riveting than the book. Read more
Review:The Viper is a complicated and not very loveable man. For those who have read the early volume of the series there have been enough hints that this is due to some very bad experiences, especially with his first wife. So what sort of woman would a man like that fall for? Isabella McDuff apparently. I have now read this book several times and I still think it is possibly the best in the series, because the relationship is so complicated, but worthwhile. Read more
