Not a terrible book. Somehow I thought it would be all about firefighters going potty. It's about all different types of people that go potty. My son loves firefighters and is not really interested in the other pages. Did not work for potty training, but he does laugh at the firefighter going potty.

The book isn't as "progressive" as I might like. There is only 1 women professional (she is a Dr, at least and I just use female pronouns in reference to the astronaut who you only see the suit of.). Also, If I recall correctly, the only non-pale people in the book are servers (like a water and *possibly* a zoo attendant). For these reasons, I would not recommend this book (and wish I hadn't purchased it in the first place).

Super cute book! Great for boys especially to show sitting on potty to do number 2( the hardest , at least in our case) .
Good for boys who like firefighters, police etc., bought with my big boy potty book

My son was taking forever to be potty trained and when he was starting to figure it out he often didn't want to stop what he was doing to go. This book helped him learn that everybody has to go and that it's okay to take a break from what you are doing to go.

This is a wonderful book for children learning to go on the potty. It teaches them that their heroes go potty too. I got it for my son and he loves it, although the content may be more interesting for a boy than a girl. As a lady myself, I thought it was a little more boy-centric. Focuses on firefighters, pilots, baseball players, police officers, and the like.

I bought this book, probably foolishly, believing it would be about firefighters and pottying. My boy loves some firefighters! He liked it well enough with the inclusion of other occupations.
My main issue with this book is that all of the occupations are filled by white people with the exception of a black waiter and a Latino baseball player. Really?!?! We are not a color-blind society, but can we please give all children--no matter their race--the right to become WHATEVER they want to be?
As a mother of a white male who is doing her damnedest to raise her son to see the worth, dignity, and capability of all people, this was a frustrating blow.

Everyone goes to the potty! Love this book and my son enjoyed reading it and lifting all the flaps. Our favorite is the polar bear... could he have gone to the potty?? NoooOOOoo but zookeepers go to the potty. Buy the book and your kid will be sure to love it!

Awesome book - the thumbnails don't do it justice. There are different people - not just firefighters and there is a door to open on the side of every page. My almost 3 yr old son loves to participate in reading it by opening each door.

We just received this along with a few other "FIREMAN" type things for Christmas for our little man who recently turned 3. It is ADORABLE! This isn't the book to get if you are trying to teach your little one HOW to use the potty as it doesn't have an explanation of the steps... but if you are struggling like us to get your little one to ACTUALLY USE the potty - I would recommend this book. To my surprise it wasn't just about firemen- but had a long list of doctors, astronauts, construction workers, etc... I think he will love it- and hopefully it will encourage him to WANT to use the potty!

I wanted a little different book than the usual "potty" book. This fits the bill perfectly and is quite unique! My Grandson asks me to read it to him over and over and loves opening the "door" on each page. It is pretty "rip proof" as well since the pages are heavy duty. I don't think you will be disappointed in this book.

This book has flaps for each person represented who is going to the potty: firefighter, astronaut, waiter, train conductor, zookeeper, doctor, construction crewman, policeman, etc. We used it to get our boy interested in becoming potty-trained. This helped, along with other methods and books. It was a favorite.

After reading this book, I had to encourage my grandson to get off the potty! Made training a joy. Have a few other good books but this one was memorable for him. We also visited the fire station and fire men!
