100 Common Birds of Eastern and Western North America (Sibley Birds)

I bought these for our homeschool and all our kids just love them! The cards are high quality, although I did laminate them for longevity. My 7 & 8 year old boys actually memorized all 100 birds by sight. Wow. My 5 and 3 year olds also enjoy playing with these and have memorized many of them!

I am a Scouting Merit Badge counselor for Bird Study and I needed some flashcards to use when testing the Scouts on bird recognition. The images of the birds are too small for this use in a classroom situation. However, they are perfect for study with a single student. The name of the bird is not shown on the side of the card with the picture so they work fine for testing individually.

Exactly what I wanted. These cards are well illustrated and point out important features on the front of the card(ie white bill, lines on wings) While keeping the name of the bird on the back. I think Illustrations are easier for learning identification than photographs most of the time. My son is only 5 months old, but as he gets older I want to teach him about the wildlife that live in our area first then expand to the rest of the country and world, if he is interested. These cards will be perfect as they are divided into 3 categories, birds of the east coast, west coast and those that live across the entire country. For those of you who also feel disappointed in a lot of the stores descriptions There are 100 cards about the size and thickness of regular playing cards. Also my cat usually loses interest in flash cards, but these held her attention for nearly a full minute.

Excellent quality illustrations for birders of all levels and ages. The cards are a unique way to practice recognition without the use of batteries.

My dad recently purchased a ton of bird feeders as he noticed the many different types of birds in his backyard and was curious to see what it would bring. Well, it brought a lot and we didn't know what half of them were and wanted to buy the right kind of food for them. These flashcards certainly helped and had every kind of bird we've seen so far and with accurate information too. We kind of made a game out of it. Every time we see a new bird, we search really fast for the flashcard that matches it. lol! My niece has enjoyed them as well and she's really learning things at a young age. So, everything is easy to comprehend too. We're certainly getting use out of them, to say the least.
