Penny is right on. This is real, in-character conflict. (Albeit on a GRAND scale.). This is believable interpersonal devastation. Way to go, Reid. Let's get another early release, shall we? Say, tomorrow?

There is no doubt that Penny Reid is brilliant. Her dialogue is smart, funny and sometimes a little heartbreaking. She has come on of my favorite authors. I just ready for these guys to get their HEA.

Attraction was the start to Kaitlyn to Martin's intense chemistry and Heat is where it all came to a head. Holy hot sexy times. *fans self* Of course, it's not all sexy fun this time around. There's plenty of awkwardness, humor and the heart I've come to expect from Penny's writing. Oh, and there are some feels ahead too.

During Heat, Kaitlyn and Martin are no longer fighting the attraction and the chemistry between them. It starts with oodles of sexual tension – and some reservations from Kaitlyn – but quickly gets hot. I loved watching Kaitlyn discover more about herself and more fully embrace her sexuality. As much as I enjoyed the romance, I enjoyed the character growth at least as much. Now, that's not to say that Kaitlyn and Martin didn't both have their immature moments, but it all felt real. Things aren't perfect between them and they have their challenges, which are now more prevalent because they're no longer isolated on the island.

The cliffhanger at the end of Heat was particularly brutal. Thankfully I had the next part on hand (or, you know, on my iPad) so I could start it immediately. And I did, too. I had to see if/how Kaitlyn and Martin would overcome this latest round of hurdles to this thing they were building.
The Opposite of You (The Opposites Attract Series Book 1) :: Friends Without Benefits (Knitting in the City Book 2) :: A reluctant romance (Knitting in the City Book 3) :: Dr. Strange Beard (Winston Brothers Series) :: Book Boyfriend (Book Boyfriends 1)

Loved this story! The second in a trilogy, this one was filled with more...more of Martin and Kaitlyn and their HOT romance, more funny, laugh out loud Kaitlyn quotes, more intensity, more everything! I'm dying to know how this is going to wrap up. Cannot wait for the third one.

I really enjoy Penny Reid's stories and writing BUT I am extremely frustrated with this style of releasing books... It takes months (in this case granted, only weeks) to finish one story.
This story is being released in 3 installments over several months. Why? The ONLY reason is to increase the cost to purchase the entire story. (It's not like she needs time to finish the story. It's already finished).
I suspect that Penny's publisher is the mastermind behind this sales strategy. As much as I enjoy Penny I may decide that I will not purchase further stories if they are released in installments. I don't like being manipulated by salespeople!

I between 3_4 stars for this review. Pebby Reid has the book broke into three parts versus one whole book. I appreciate author decision; however I would had preferred the entire book as one read. Instead of being excited I looked at the ending, then read the book so I knew the kind of cliffhanger. Note that all three volumes will be released together in June. I really enjoyed vol 1, and.just felt something was missing from vol2. I didn't feel the same spark and the characters didnt draw me in the same way.

This book is amazing. I love Penny's writing style and her ability to make likeable heroine's. The first book Attraction was great, but Heat trumps it! The only bad thing about this book is the cliffhanger. Well played Penny, well played.

I really liked this, the sex scenes were perfect. The cliffhanger heartbreaking. The dialogue clever and entertaining and the main characters human and fallible and entrancing. Absolutely worth buying and I challenge you not to finish it without a break. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Elements of Chemistry part 2 HEAT by Penny Reid

Release date 04.30.2015

First of all yes i know there is 6 ? and the scale only goes up to 5, but seriously the book is that good.

Secondly I would normaly not review a part 2, 3 or whatever in a clifhanger series but again its just that brilliant.

I hate clifhangers, but seriously I could care less.
This trilogy could end right here and I would love it just the same.

I have to admit that I loved ATTRACTION, i loved Kaitlyn but I had a hard time feeling Martin.
After HEAT im feeling him, oh boy do I feel him.

Thank you Penny Reid for your words they paint my world in vibrant colors.

Please keep writing.

Do yourself the huge service and read this trilogy.
If you like me HATE clifhangers wait until May 16th when part 3 is released and then book a weekend just you and these books, im telling you they are so worth it.
