I recommend these books to everyone I know who loves to read. If you are considering this book, but it! But then buy "Boomtown", this is the beginning of my favorite imaginary people! I really appreciate Mrs. Vale's political stance!

LLV did not disappoint with this highly anticipated book in her series. Emotionally charged story with a side of LLV's humor makes for a great read. Love that the hero and heroine finally get their HEA!

I love every single Lani Lynn Vale book out there, but this was my favorite!!! She had so much build up as to who Ghost is, that it just made this book finally coming out even better! There are many twists and turns and of coarse amazing sex scenes in this book! Can't wait for the next!!!
Kevlar To My Vest (The Heroes of The Dixie Wardens MC Book 3) :: Oxygen Deprived (Kilgore Fire Book 3) :: Burn in Hail (The Hail Raisers Book 3) :: Kinda Don't Care (The Simple Man Series Book 1) :: Keys To My Cuffs (The Heroes of The Dixie Wardens MC Book 4)

Lani Lynn Vale does not disappoint! This was one of the most highly anticipated books in her Dixie-verse and I'm sill amazed. After taking two LONG days to read so I didn't miss anything, I finished with tears and laughter ringing. Well done!

OH. MY GOD! The much anticipated. Gossiped and speculated about. Debated on, GHOST! Let me just say that I fell in love with Lani's men 2 years ago. I faithfully and religiously preorder her books monthly. I'm a part of her FACEBOOK groups. I've been blessed with her accepting me as a friend. With all that said, I am in constant AWE of her writing ability. I'm envious. I'm a little bit jealous. I want to be her when I grow up. (I'm pretty sure I'm older than her, but ya never know.) Anyway....back to GHOST!
I have re-read ALL of her books for months trying to figure out if Ghost was who I thought he was. I speculated, debated, and argued points in her groups. I doubted who I thought it was, but I should have just stuck with my gut.
It was my favorite deceased man, Tunnel. I cried (balled and sobbed) when he passed away. Mina's speech at his funeral stuck with me for days afterwards and always had me in tears. The pain. The anguish. The loss of a spouse, I hope I never have to feel. Lani brought it alive in Life to My Flight when Tunnel passed, and she brought him alive in Beard Up. That's what I love about her writing, it's real and you feel it.
Lani does a fantastic job of bringing Tunnel and Mina's story alive. The twists. The turns. It keeps you on edge. Yes I cried. Yes I laughed. Yes I got hot and bothered (sorry not sorry for that TMI). In my opinion, when I first met Tunnel in Life to My Flight, I felt that he wasn't alpha enough for me. He still had a lot of growing up to do and it showed. Lani developed him. Of course he went through a massive trauma and continued to live through it daily, but his alphaness, his manliness, was more. He grew up. His experiences shaped him, but it made him and Mina more. Their story more. I never thought he was weak or not Dixie Warden worthy, but there was a softness to him in Life to My Flight that made him not as aggressive or ruthless. It was almost like when the pictures were discovered when he was "alive" he didn't know exactly what to do. He also had to make a choice about Mina living, which is not hard. I feel like in all of Lani's other books, the lead male grabs life by the balls right off the bat. With Tunnel, it was a slow build that actually made it all that much better.
So here's my final opinion of Beard Up: Wonderful. It met and then EXCEEDED my expectations. I fell in love with Tunnel and he's my new book boyfriend. Lani once again brought her readers, followers, and fans a book that we can relate too and feel. That's important to me when I'm reading. I want to feel the emotions of the characters and Lani NEVER FAILS in doing this.
Keep them coming Lani. Please please please do not ever stop writing. You seriously make my month when I get to meet your men. Thank you for all your hard work and your brain. You are my hero!

Ghost has been watching his wife and child for years but never got close enough to reclaim the broken pieces of his heart. Ghost had to do what he had to do in order to keep them protected but now that he sees they are in danger he has to make a difficult decision. Does he continue to stay at a distance or make a move that will change everything and unravel their lives in a way no one saw coming.
So I was blown away by this story and don't want to reveal too much because it is a huge part of the book. You know Ghost from the previous stories but never really knew too much about his past. I picked this one up and did nothing all day until I finished the story. I am definitely going to reread again and this has instantly become a favorite in the series.
