The story of Johnny and June, two people that really shouldn't be together but somehow they are and they make it work. With some steamy sexy times, drama, danger, and of course the feeling of wanting to throat punch a character. I sat down to read, and when it ended I was not ready, I wanted more. I'm greedy like that! I give this 5 stars.

Lani Lynn Vale certainly knows how to write an amazingly intriguing book, that takes a hold of you heart from the beginning and entertaining you till the end. I do not think Ms. Vale could write anything other than a fabulous book. Can you tell I'm a fan? She's one of my go to authors, a definite one click when a new book comes out. If you are new to this author, take a chance, you will not be disappointed.
Johnny and June are spectacular together, they may have a bumpy and a little bit of a rocky road but it was fantastic to see them maneuver through it all. Two broken people finding one another and putting the broken pieces back together. It was also nice to see "old" characters. I'm truly enjoying this series. Can't wait for the next one.

Absolutely love this series. Love June and Johnny! June had a hard way to go with her parents and the town of judgy stuck ups. But she made the best of it for her grandpa. Johnny needed out from under his family and their meddling ways. A few tickets and a random phone number later and they can't shake each other. And Rosie is insane!

Johnny captured our hearts as a child in Sebastian & Baylee's book, Lights to My Siren. Now, we have his HEA! Following a stint in the Army, from which he is sent home with an injury, Johnny is having some trouble finding his place. He is being smothered by his well meaning family. Just as it seems to be getting to be too much for him, a friend suggests that he makes a break for it, and move to her town, of Hostel, TX. He gets a job as a Police Officer in this small town. Then he meets her. The June to his Johnny!

June is a girl from the wrong side of the tracks. Her childhood was horrible, the only bright spot being her grandfather. Her parents are of the worst kind, and their reputation follows her around town. Everyone thinks the worst of her, even if she did nothing to earn it.

These two are so great together. Despite all of the problems that they face, there doesn't seem to be any going back for them. This story brings back some of our favorites from previous books, and has lots of twists and turns that I never saw coming! This is just another fabulous book by Lani Lynn Vale. I'm totally loving the kids stories, and just know they are going to keep getting better!

Well cuff me, Mister Officer! Holy hell this cover is HAWT! Oh what’s that?!?! You need a full body search * rubs hands together * let’s do this!! Seriously though, that cover photo and the graphic is pure perfection… Bravo, to your cover designer Lani Lynn Vale! I am thrilled that Ms. Vale seems to produce a book at least every other month because I can’t get enough of her books! Her Simple Man series talks to my… lower mass!

The characters Ms. Vale creates are just plain epic! They are so eclectic and so darn likable… I never know if I’m going to love them of loathe them but I know Ms. Vale is going to make me feel my feelings to extreme. June was just off the chart of amazing. How she got that way I have no idea considering the fact that she was surrounded by small-minded and oblivious people. I just adore how sweet and pure she is. Johnny is her match! They are just made for each other… yeah, yeah, it’s a book they were literally made for each other, but in my mind these people are living. Ms. Vale does that. She brings her stories to life and gives them a heartbeat. Plus, I mean JOHNNY and JUNE, one of the most iconic couples ever!

I spent so much of this book either swooning from pure unadulterated lust for the #HottieCop or in absolute hatred for this locals who I want to handle. Bullying comes in all ages, races, and ethnicity. There were parts that got me so riled up by mistreatment and pure hatefulness that I wanted to go all Johnny Cash on them. Ok, ok… I’m not going in anymore to the story. Ms. Vale does a superb job getting me invested and my feelings going high! I can’t wait to get more stories about these Simple Men!

Johnny Mackenzie is all grown up and I love him even more now than the rambunctious little boy we first met in Lights to My Siren. But our Johnny boy has been through a lot and is struggling to deal with everything after being medically discharged from the Army. Tired of being hovered over by his parents and pseudo family, the Dixie Wardens, he ups and leaves Benton and follows his friends Janie and Kayla to Hostel, Texas, where he joins the police force.

Johnny first meets June Carter Common when he pulls her over for speeding. There’s just something about her sassiness that calls to him. June has been looked down upon her whole life due to the trash that are her parents, but she is a strong woman and refuses to let them get her down. She holds her head high and carries on. Johnny is the first man to be able to June without he freaking out and the chemistry between these two is off the charts!

I sooo enjoyed this one. Johnny and June are my favorite couple so far out of the Simple Man series and they have a love that equals their namesakes. I loved seeing Sebastian, Baylee and Silas again. And LLV had me laughing out loud (as usual) with all the chapter headings. I just have to say that you know every cop out there has those same thoughts and would love to post that on Facebook! I loved this one and can’t wait for the next!

When two broken souls find each other and mend their souls together, I could never be happier. This was a book that had me turning pages so quickly and gave me all the feels.

I have a special place in my heart for broken heroes. Jonny seriously stole my heart and I don't want it back. My heart feels for June, but knowing how Jonny will mend her heart makes me so happy.

This series is quickly becoming one of my favorites. The Free kids are grown up and falling in love! But, not without some challenge, Jonny and June are the perfect match, both with some background damage that needs to be overcome before they can move forward. This is a book of love, success and beating revenge. What an incredible story.
