This was my favorite book in the calendar series. I loved how Alec ends up empowering her and teaching her a lot things she didn't even know that she needed to learn. The whole series holds a special place in my heart but February will always be my favorite.

Another enjoyable quick read that had me wanting to plow through it... and I did. This second book didn't tug on my heartstrings the way the first book did but that's only because I wasn't fond of the character Alec and how the "romance" between Mia and he progressed so quickly. Where Wes and Mia seemed to fit as friends and lovers and their companionship blossomed a bit more naturally I cannot say the same for Alec and Mia's relationship.
Alec and Mia's lust seemed to be kicked up from the start and no real slow burn to lead up to it. Also, Alec's artist/Frenchman character was very cliché and too eccentric. So I wasn't a fan of this month's client for Mia. Like Mia, I was still hung up on Wes and all that he was to her and all that they had in book 1 - January.
What I really liked about the book though was Mia. I liked that she still seemed true to herself and was still the same young woman we met in the first book. Mia is still vulnerable, strong, open, not pretentious, unwilling to pander without questioning or putting up a fight, and she shows small steps of growth.
As much as the steamy love scenes are titillating the real star of the series is certainly Mia. She's a character that I want to continue to get know more and witness her journey to self-discovery and romance. January and February are done and now I have ten more months to go to see if Mia will find her way back to Wes at the end or maybe find her real match along the way.

I feel like this book identifies that life has so many stages and we should just learn to love ourselves and others, through whatever experience life gives us! :) travel, meet people, love others, take care of yourself but give pieces of yourself to others, like your kindness, your uniqueness, your life experience! Teach others about your perspective and also learn something from others perspectives!
