So, I have to mirror other reviewers. I bought this book to go with DADA, but the size is different, and the pages are printed on paper. Which would normally not be a big deal, except they are not appropriate for the age group this book is intended. My 15 month old son loves DADA, so I got this to put under the tree for him this Christmas. I will always have to hold and read the book to him if I want it to last until the New Year. Otherwise, the story is just as adorable as DADA. (BUT PLEASE, someone have the sense to start printing this in hard page books appropriate for the age). If it wasn't for how cute the story is, this would be a three star rating.

Super cute book!!! But I wish it was a board book! It looks like they might have messed up on this page though. Instead of the duck saying quack it should say mama...or is the duck just not able to say anything but quack?...

The text is adorable, the little figures of the artwork are very cute (and for fans of "Dada", there is a running joke about ducks which I thought pretty funny), but there are several major problems with this book. First, it is not a board book (how is your baby going to "enjoy how it tastes" outside the board book format?). It is also quite large for little hands. The charming artwork has its own problems -- some of the illustrations have very low contrast -- light pink against white figures, for instance. Since the baby in our house adores "Dada" I was very much looking forward to "Everything is Mama", and confess to being much disappointed.

This book is HORRIBLE. I was excited that it was written by Jimmy Fallon - so it's got to be funny, right? NO. A 5 yr old could have written this book. The only reason I didn't return it is because I didn't want to pay for shipping. I do not recommend this book AT ALL.

I hate that this book doesn't come in the board book option like the DADA version. I think Jimmy Fallon did this on purpose was probably annoyed that he was pressured to make a MAMA version so he decided to make it destructible. Thats the only reason I could possibly think of why he would choose to not make this a board book. But great illustrations my 1 year old loves it!!

My 11 month old son's first word was in fact, Dada. And he says it ALL THE TIME! We're working on saying Mama, and he's slowly getting there. This book is helping this mama get a leg up on Daddy ;-) Thank you, Jimmy Fallon! The illustrations are cute, my son loves to look at them. The only thing I don't like is, I wish it was a Board Book, like the Dada book. My son likes to turn the page when we read and I'm afraid he's going to rip these pages. Otherwise, two thumbs up!

If like me, you too liked DaDa then skip this book.
Its a wannabe sequel that just misses everything:
Its not a board
Its not
Its graphics not
The words taught are just

I so wanted this to be good. What happened Jimmy Fallon? Did you even review it before pocketing the cash from the book deal?

Thought it was a board book like “Dada” which my son loves. It was a slimsy page book that a baby could rip apart in no time. A book with these pages is meant for a three year old, but the content of the book is meant for 2 and under. Poor choice of construction. I knew my so. Would have it ruined after the first read. Sad, because the book was okay and I would love to have a book that was all about Mom.

I don't know why people are giving this book five stars- it's completely inexcusable that this book is not a board book like the Dada book. My one year old niece loves the Dada book and "reads" it to herself over and over- but she can't handle a paper book on her own! What a disappointment.

Love the book, got it fast and this is really more of an issue directed at the publisher but purchased the hardcover of ‘Dada’ in a store and then bought the hardcover of ‘Mama’ online to give together as a baby shower gift. Seems like they would naturally be the same size book, but not so much... Kind of a glaring oversight as organized parents would probably keep these side by side. Maybe consider this for the next printing? OCD buyers be cautioned. Still a great children’s book!

Love the concept for this book.
Not as good as the Dada book...There are 2 reasons why and things that I wish could have been changed in this book:
- that is was a board book for toddlers
- that all the words in the book would be "baby's 1st words" like ball, book, etc My 15 month old has no idea what a waffle is.

Like many others, I thought I was ordering a board book and was disappointed when a hardcover arrived. My son wore the DADA board book out, I can only imagine that this hard cover book will certainly meet an untimely death in our house.

Not a board book, pretty disappointed in that. We loved the Dada book and sure enough our eldest's first word was Dada. Pages will be ripped almost instantly as is, even with the two year old. Cant even show it to the 6 month old who we were hoping would get the most use of it.

If it gets put out in board book format we will probably buy it again, but as is its pretty much useless...

The Book has an error in it. Has a picture of a duck and quack on the next page. Does not go with Mama but more like DaDa book. This was paper not the cardboard book like the DaDa book we bought. Not good for a one year old who totally loves the DaDa book.

Should have paid better attention when it said hardcover instead of board book! I ordered it's soon as it was available. I just assumed it was a board book like DADA. We love the Dada book and this one is so so cute also- but why isn't it a board book. Ugh. Debating returning and hoping a board version is released.

For ages 1-3. The age of tearing pages. So my bad for not realizing this was not a board book but that was a disappointment.

Our 14 month old loves the original DADA board book.

This one is equally cute and a perfect compliment but not one we can allow him to carry around with him or it will get ruined. Please give a board book option soon!

I want to LOVE this book, I really do, but it needs to be a board book, same as the Dada book. I have a 2 year old and 9 month old and I will probably be sending it back because it'll be destroyed in about 2 minutes. So upset

Seriously bummed that this isn't a board book. What the heck! The DADA book is! Makes for a pretty awkward mismatched set. This is a book for babies. Ugh. The story is cute but not the right style book for the age it's for.

This is an adorable follow up to Jimmy Fallon’s bestselling book, Dada. In this offering, he plays on the common conception that many toddlers are happy simply using the word, “mama”. A variety of animal mothers attempt to get their children to expand their vocabulary by introducing other objects, but each time, the child continues to shout, “Mama!” My two-year-old daughter loved this book and we had fun giving voices to the animals, so that “mama” sounded different every time. She also liked that she could “read along” with me by saying “mama” at the appropriate parts. In the sweet conclusion, the reader sees all of the animals together with the children shouting, “Mama!” and the text reading, “Everything is Mama according to you. But one day you’ll see, Mama’s EVERYTHING is YOU.” A sweet reminder that always produced a hug between me and my daughter. A simple and fun book that is sure to be popular!

It breaks my heart to give this anything less than 5 stars because I frigging love Jimmy Fallon. He is funny and full of heart, and all that in a gorgeous man. He is simply the reason why I purchased this book for my future children, and I had never read the story. That said, I 'thought' that it would there would be more... story to it but it was just the same thing page after page after page. One of the hallmarks of the best and long-lasting children tales is that they have multiple levels, and this didn't even muster 1 level at all. It's like if I replaced every word in this review with Mama - would you ever be surprised to find that the next word also is Mama? No story here man. What the heck Jimmy?

HOW CUTE was this book!!! The different animals on each page were just the cutest. How many times can I say cute in this review? lol!! I can't help it!! Super sweet book and was surprised to see that it was from Jimmy Fallon. If this is his first children's book, then I hope he continues to write more and more.

We bought this for our 17 months old son. The content is very different from DADA. We absolutely love this book. The message is so sweet and very easy to read. Highly recommend this book to 0-3 yr. I think young toddlers would really enjoy how lovely this book is. I want to get one for all my friends with young kids.

My husband surprised me this book, as we already have the Dada book. It is very repetitive and similar to the Dada book (as I imagined it would be) but the words about mama in the beginning and end were SO sweet. Better than Dada in my opinion. Thanks Jimmy!
