I love this book!!! The photography is lovely, the recipes are completely different from her last book It's All Good, and the few things I've tried so far have been very very good. However, I took off one star because a lot of these recipes require forethought or at least 30 minutes to put together, which I don't mind but is simply longer than I expected, given the title. Furthermore- and this is my personal issue- I really thought it would contain less dairy products, like her previous book.

The book has lovely photos and easy-to-follow recipes. Thank goodness for the ample white space on the recipe pages and the darker print for each recipe. Otherwise, the text would be too small to comfortably read. I was surprised to see many of her recipes contain bacon, oil, and cheese. I recall that she said in an interview years ago that she didn't use dairy products. Perhaps I am mistaken.
All in all, it's a very nice book.Thank you, Gwyneth! I want to see you in a new film!

The simplicity and thoughtfulness of these recipes is exciting. The tomato soup and turkey meatloaf recipes are simple & easy but some of the best food I've had in awhile. Beautiful cookbook. A new staple in my kitchen.

I seriously have a lot of cookbooks! And I rarely write reviews. This one is a really good cookbook. I am finding that it is so much better than her first cookbook. I have had the book for less than a week and have already made several things which all turned out great and I have many more marked to try. Granola, easy tomato Basil Soup, beet and blue cheese salad were easy and quick. the chicken enchiladas took a bit longer to make but so worth it. I added some canned black beans to the filling. Don't hesitate getting this one. It's a cookbook that does deliver!

On page 114 for the "Spring Veggie Ramen," the recipe states to "Combine the ginger, ponzu, and 8 cups water...." Unfortunately, there is NO ponzu listed in the ingredients so I don't know the quantity to make the Ramen. So sad....

The weakest of her 3 cookbooks and quite disappointing. It's padded with uninspired recipes and random photographs of her (and her kids) frolicking in the countryside. About a third of the recipes are so simple (i.e. bacon avocado toast) it's silly. I do like the asian infusion this book has but not sure it's thorough or interesting enough to warrant buying it. If you have her other cookbooks, don't buy this one. If you don't own any of her cookbooks, by one of the others!

I am so disappointed!! I loved her other cookbook and try recipes from goop.com constantly. I have come to trust her culinary skills and rely on her recipes. I ordered "it's all Easy" as soon as it hit the shelves and so far every recipe I have tried is terrible! The turkey meatloaf was a bust and most surprisingly it didn't even react like meatloaf. It was very esthetically unappealing. The drinks were really nothing special and overall I am underwhelmed. It's all good was dazzling but this one feels like it's from a completely different person!

Very excited about this. It's simple, leans healthy, and provides inspiration for even a seasoned home cook. I'm an excellent and fairly inventive cook but it's so easy to get flavor fatigue and stuck in a rut with healthy eating. This book feels fresh. I can't wait to try the ginger sesame almond drink (so different!) and the asparagus mimosa. I'll definitely be making the socca "pizzas" and the Japanese miso turnips...yum.

I bought this knowing that it would be great, based on her last cookbook, "Its all Good". This one does not disappoint. Many of the recipes from Gwyneth's last cookbook are now staples in my house, and I am certain that many of the recipes from this new book will be as well. I have already made the socca pizzas (delicious and so easy!), zaatar roasted carrot and avocado on socca (everyone loved it), and the soft polenta with sautéed mushrooms (loved it). Next up is the singapore rice noodles. These recipes represent the way I want to eat. The food is healthy, fresh, simple but exciting. The cookbook is beautifully laid out, with gorgeous pictures and well written instructions. Do yourself a favor and buy this cookbook, but more importantly, use it. This is the way we should all be eating.

Just received her newest cookbook in the mail today and I already know I will love all the recipes I try! Her last one "it's all good" was an awesome book, with every single recipe I tried being outstanding. the only thing that I dont like about it is that its not entirely gluten free, like in "its all good", but honestly, they are easily interchangeable with gluten free options (i.e.- rice noodles/pasta, instead of wheat noodles/pasta). I hope she keeps them coming!

Now I understand Gayle King's question: "How do you define 'easy'?" So this might be "easy" for an experienced chef. By NO MEANS is this a cookbook for ANYONE who is truly super busy and especially not for a busy family cook - nor are these recipes for family people (as in - kids are not going to eat these things). One look at the recommended pantry list in the front of the book will tell all. Hell, I don't even know where one can get some of these ingredients - at least not in the middle of Ohio, where I live.

I too thought GP was out of touch...however, just recently I became very ill and totally rethought my food choices. I truly believe you can heal your body by changing your diet. My daughter also suffers from some issues and after going clean with our food choices, our lives have changed!!!! I just happened to find one of her cookbooks and after I read it there were numerous recipes I wanted to try. I did try them and was very impressed. If you want to eat clean, for the most part, you have to prepare your family’s food at home and sometimes in advance. You have to weekly do food prep so your foods are readily and easily available. You CAN go organic and clean without going broke.....This is why most Americans who eat a SAD make fast food choices...quicker is NOT necessarily better, it’s making America truly sick and unwell.

She has made comments about how Americans make terrible food choices and are over consuming and I’m going to tell you...she is absolutely correct. Look at your grocery cart, look at all the unnecessary plastic junk in our homes, all the excesses we surround ourselves with, the overconsumption..........there must be a point where we stop the madness and focus on our needs and our health, and well being. A light bulb went off after my daughter and I became ill and now I make clean, whole food choices for myself and my family. Also, the chemicals in our health products are unbelievable. After going to specialist after specialist to heal by daughter, I now see that I can control what we put in and on our bodies. It does matter!!!!!!

I’m not privileged like Gwyneth, if I were, I’d move to the French or English countryside too. However, I CAN control what I surround my family with......clean, whole real Foods, nontoxic air indoors, less toxic junk in our homes...it does make a difference and it took me a long time and a major illness to realize that. I understand exactly where is she coming from now.

While there were some great recipes in here(cashew cream, avo mousse, saag, to name a few), there was too much fluff(I don't need recipes for avocado toast or a pancake recipe using a pre-mix). If you are already a clean eater, making dinner from scratch, you may not find this book all that useful. You will appreciate a few recipes and a bit of inspiration(mason jar noodles for on the go is a great idea), but most of it will be redundant to what you already know or make. If you are just starting out on your journey, wanting to make tasty meals that involve more than just combining pre-made ingredients, then this book is for you. I almost considered keeping it for my kid's cooking nights. I wish I had this book years ago, when I first got married and was just learning how to cook with whole foods. Some reviewers say this book involves esoteric ingredients. I did not find that to be the case at all. Yes, there are some things you may have trouble finding, but most things you can easily sub with more readily found ingredients, and most items are carried in my small town grocery. Yes, some recipes require you have kitchen year, like a vitamix or spiralizer. I have both of these and recc them to anyone-they make cooking clean, healthy, and tasty all that easier, so I will not knock her for having recipes utilizing such helpful kitchen tools.

I expected the book to provide simple, family friendly recipes suitable for today's busy Moms hopefully, those living in the U.S. There were few here that our grandchildren would eat and therefore, not many our daughter-in-law would cook. And, I could do without celebrity photos in a cookbook. Overall, I was disappointed from the moment I opened the cover.

So many haters out there.... shame on you!!!
I don't know enough about Gwyneth Paltrow to say that I either love her or not.... but I do love this book.
Cookbook reviews are so relative, I live in Chile and I cannot find a lot of exotic ingredients here so I have to wing it when using international cookbooks and the recipes always come out great. So quit whining that you haven't heard of a specific ingredient and search for something comparable and then go for it!
Kudos to you Gwyneth for sharing your healthy delicious recipes with the world, you should be very proud of yourself!
Don't be put off by the negative reviews, but do check out some of the recipes to see if this style of cooking and eating is something that might interest you.
My personal recommendation would be to have fun with it and enjoy!!!

This book as a heavy amount of asian inspired dishes. My husband and I are huge fans of asian cuisine, so that doesn't stop us from liking it. I LOVE, LOVE "It's All Good," so I was extremely excited for this book and had very high hopes. I have made just a couple of recipes so far, and although they were all good, nothing was absolutely fantastic and left me thinking about it afterwards. I found myself adding extra ingredients to jazz things up a little bit. I'm going to keep trying and see if I can find some spectacular recipes!

I have never written a review, but feel compelled to encourage folks to not rule out this cookbook. I have access through my garden and CSA to lots of veggies and herbs so I no longer see these ingredients as exotic or expensive. I also cook with vegetables constantly so subbing is pretty routine. We made the Singapore rice noodles, subbing Tatsoi and asparagus for thr green beans and broccoli. It was delicious and simple to make. It is not meat and potatoes or pizza and cheesy pasta, all of which I enjoy. For me it fulfills the best of what the most current nutritional guidelines recommend, lots of vegetables, good quality proteins and healthy, not low fat. It is like getting to collaborate with a pro focused on good nutrition and great flavor. It is not for everyone. If you don't eat many veggies and like me rely heavily on cheese and pasta you may be initially nervous, but if you are eager to eat more veggies this is a delicious way to start. I make a million versions of pasta primavera, mac'n cheese w/ veggies and pesto with anything green (or not) and am looking forward to more variety.
My only disappointment was there were fewer recipes than I would have liked, but for $20 it is still well worth it. You should like veggies, have more than 20 minutes to get dinner in the table and have good nutrition on your mind.
