Part of the Raven Riders series, this story absolutely works as a standalone, though fans of the series get some nice glimpses of familiar characters.

I'm a bit of a sucker for the dark and broody type; add in protective and a hint of vulnerability and I fell hard for Caine. The author did a great job with the slow reveal of Caine's background--enough information early enough to get a feel for where he was coming from, yet doling it out in small enough doses to prevent an overload and to keep up a bit of suspense. I loved Emma, too, as the cheerful and talkative opposite of Caine, and I loved how she brought out the part of Caine that he had tried so hard to bury. And it wasn't just a one-way street; in Caine, Emma found the solace to her loneliness and an answer to needs she didn't even realize she had.

This story of a man who carried so many scars, both inside and out, touched me deeply, and I was cheering for him to overcome his understandable reticence and give Emma a chance. More than the underlying peril to Emma, it was the growth of the connection between Caine and Emma that kept me glued to the book until the very last page and that soul-satisfying ending. 5+ stars.

Ride Dirty is the latest installment in Laura Kaye’s Raven Rider’s series, and I think the best by far. It is the story of their sergeant-at-arms, Caine McKannon and the woman he saves from a mugging, Emma Kerry. Caine has a lot of demons, he has his sex mostly in three ways that he finds in online, and he doesn’t have much to say.
He is doing the rounds and checking on a client that the club is protecting when he hears a scream. He finds a woman being mugged, so he saves her and her dog and sees them home safely. He also decides to stick around since she has to have her locks changed. While most everyone is afraid of Caine, Emma isn’t, and she invites him in. (Besides, her dog Chewy gave him a tail wag, and that meant he must be ok!)
Emma finds a way to reach out to Caine again because she’s attracted to him, though Caine has a hard time connecting with people. Emma’s school room is vandalized, then when their brief interlude is interrupted by Chewy getting out, Caine knows something is up. Can he protect Emma? And will she get through to him?
Again, this was my favorite, and Chewy helped make it a big hit too! After all, I have a toy dog who is big into Greenies as well!

Ride Dirty (Raven Riders #3.5) by Laura Kaye

M/F Romance
Triggers: childhood trauma
I was given this book for an honest review.

Caine is a hard man. He's lived a hard life and despite having a biker family, he is still quite the loner. When things are hard, he takes off riding to clear his head. But, he always returns to his family. While he's clearing his head, he happens upon a mugging and does what he can to stop the attack.

Emma is a quirky, outgoing elementary teacher. She is all alone in the world, except for her friends. She loves her job and knows that even though her friends think she might be a little boring, she's content. When she finds out that someone might be after her, she can't understand it at all.

Caine is drawn to Emma and Emma to Caine. They both don't know much about each other, but know that they have an undeniable pull towards each other. Caine will stop at nothing to keep Emma safe and Emma wants Caine's protection.

I was able to figure the mystery out, but I bet a lot of readers will be surprised. I really enjoyed this story and hope more are to come!

Caine has endured a traumatic childhood and as a result he wants to protect others but doesn’t let anyone breach the walls that he has erected around himself. He is the Sergeant-at-Arms for the Raven Riders Motorcycle Club and is loyal to his brothers but if anyone threatens the club or his brothers watch out.

Emma has become a bit of loner since her grandmother passed away as she only has two friends that she is close to and her dog. She is kindergarten teacher who is innocent, trusting and cares about others.

She is mugged one night while walking her dog and is rescued by Caine. Although common sense warns her to be leery of her rescuer he makes her feel protected especially when suspicious things keep happening and they begin to question whether her mugging was a coincidence.

I loved these two characters as Caine feels she deserves better than him but Emma can see the man he truly is and the chemistry between them is intense. I have loved this series and this story is no exception. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

I received an ARC for my honest review. I enjoyed the Raven Riders and was glad to get one last book, in Caine's story. This book is all about Caine's journey of letting go of the demons of his past that have kept him captive to becoming whole and free. On one of the restless nights that Caine is having he happens upon a mugging, but when the bad guy gets away he takes it upon himself to keep the damsel in distress, Emma, safe from a distance at first, then Emma invites Caine inside her home. Emma sees Caine beyond the superficial and treats him no differently than anyone she would encounter, which makes Caine uncomfortable and feeling unworthy which in turns brings up the issues of his past that need to be dealt with once and for all. The emotions were palpable and I could cry for the little boy Caine and all he endured..Emma is the unlikely catalyst as she is the total opposite of Caine, but opposites do attract. I absolutely loved this story, I wish it could have been longer. It is a must read...

I was completely obsessed with this book from the very first page – absolutely loved it!

Caine is a biker who came from a terribly rough past, he’s dedicated his life to helping others and when he comes across a woman, Emma, being mugged he jumps in to help her. When the mugger escapes with Emma’s wallet and keys, Caine makes it his own personal missions that she make it home safe and stay that way – even if it means camping outside her house 24/7. Emma has an immediate attraction to Caine but they’re from different worlds, Caine a rough around the edges biker and Emma a sweet kindergarten teacher. Emma has decided on her own mission – Caine.

I just loved every aspect of Caine and Emma’s story. It’s fast paced, has a ton of intrigue, is super hot and has fantastic characters. This is definitely a one-sitting type of book because once you start it you won’t want to put it down!

I REALLY enjoyed Caine's story and wish it was a full length novel instead of a novella. He was such an interesting character - with a troubled past and all the trappings that come along with it. The way that shaped him was so endearing; while it did make him emotionally withdrawn, he wasn't bitter. He was really caring and protective. I really liked Emma too - she was able to recognize Caine for the worthy man that he was and was willing to put herself out there in order to help him feel safe enough to take a chance on them. The story was super sweet, sufficiently sexy, and suspenseful. I hope we get more about the couple in future Raven Riders installments. In fact that is my only real gripe - I want more! 4 out of 5 wine glasses.

Emotional journal for Caine, but absolutely amazing!

I am a huge fan of Laura Kate's and I love how she always approaches stories with her damaged heroes. I have to admit that I wasn't sure that Caine's story was the last one that I wanted her to write, but I should have known she was making the right decision.

If Caine was talking to Laura that much, then he had something amazing to tell. Emma, oh my, I loved Sweet Emma and how she pushed him on things. She pushed him in her own way, but she also knew when to back off too.

But that last motorcycle with the Raven Rider didn't go down the way that I expected it.

I absolutely loved the Raven Riders series, It Was Amazing, I hate to see it end.

Caine and Emma freaking hot in this book by Laura Kane.Caine just pulled me in with his tough attitude but really here is a man who is in pain. I loved how Emma was there for him even after finding out who Caine really is is just like a big teddy bear you want to cuddle, love and miss forever. Cannot wait for the next one in Ravens Club.

This is the story of a Tortured hero Cain McKannon, Sergeant at Arms for the Raven Riders, him and his group of bikers are protectors of the community so when Kindergarten teacher Emma Kerry is attacked she is rescued by Cain.
Finding a protector in Caine is surprising to Emma as he seems quite intimidating at first but with the danger escalating she needs Cain now more than ever.
There is an instant attraction between the two which grew with the time they were together and Caine now would protect her with his life and not just for the biker code.
This was a great story in the Raven Riders series by Laura Kaye and look forward to the next instalment.

For the most part, this is an astonishing story.

The connection between the characters, the emotion packed into this restricted number of pages, the depth of personality and feeling.  The author has really done a fabulous job.

The only slight issue I had was that that the wrap up felt a little rushed, but I rather suspect that was in large part due to the fact that I wasn't ready for this story to end.

Caine was awesome for Ride Dirty and Emma was just the perfect woman to break through to his heart. What more could you expect from a kindergarten teacher brought to us by Ms. Kaye. She was funny, strong, in trouble, and just the right mix for a man like Caine. Caine who saw himself as broken and not the angel that Emma saw him as. You could just tell how right these two were. The story was paced just right and had enough details without skimming too much or bogging the story down.

I've always loved anything by Laura Kaye. She just has a way to create characters you love and want them to have their happily ever after. This is actually my first read into the world of the Raven Riders and I'll say I'm definitely hooked. I can see why so many readers wanted insight to Caine and his world.

The book follows Caine and Emma through their chance meeting at a would be mugging, to them opening their hearts to one another and slowly letting each other into their hearts and allowing love to bloom.

And to the sex scenes... so very hot! Ms. Kaye has a way with words and you can see and feel the action from start to finish!

Definitely recommend this one to anyone who loves a good romance with a tough biker with a heart of gold! Now I just need to go buy the others.

This book was great! I love these two together! The story was great! I just wish it was longer! The hero is definitely an alpha. Dominant and one of those quiet types. The heroine is a school teacher who finds out she needs help and who better than the Raven Riders to protect her. This is definitely a book that will keep you reading. So so good! I didn't want it to end!

So AMAZING!!! I’m sad that this series is coming to an end but this was the perfect way to go. Caine and Emma are strangers to lovers who are also opposites that are perfect for each other. I loved the Christmas setting and the glimpses at the other Raven’s Riders. I hope that we get to revisit the club again but if not this was a great send off.

Ride Dirty was sinfully good! Never has a Raven's Rider fallen so heard and fast to love! 5 Stars~ Elizabeth @ White Hot Reads

Caine has several brick walls around his heart and somehow this pretty Kindergarten teacher gets into the safeguard of his heart! Caine & Emma came together due to fate & destined love.

So once again Laura Kaye captures my heart with a story that had elements close to my heart. Chewy is by far my favorite character and Laura did a great job portraying the little guys protective attributes. Come and Emma hit this out of the park with such emotion that I could feel it deep within. Raven Riders series is fantastic!

I loved it! Tortured bikers with what most people would call a skewed moral compass, but they have a heart of gold. Caine is slightly more tortured, and his tough exterior can make it hard for people to get to know him but somehow Emma gets under this defences.

Cain and Emma were phenomenal!! I wish this book could have been longer. I loved how he opened up to her and she accepted him exactly for who he was. I hope that we have more Raven books coming our way someday. Laura Kaye wrote another powerhouse book!
