Marx Girl

This was a great read.  I had not previously read anything by TL Swan so I wasn't sure what to expect but now I feel like I have been missing out on so much.  Ben and Bridget have history together.  They were in a secret relationship while he was bodyguard to her family until he left them, and her, without a real explanation.  Naturally she was devastated and never quite got over Ben.   When Ben suddenly reappears in her life five years later, all those feelings come rushing back in.  But life isn't a fairytale and pasts don't always stay in the past.  

I love a good alpha male figure and it seems this author knows how to write one of those.  As a matter of fact - all her male characters in this book were dominant, possessive and over the top alphas.  I love the lengths that Ben's character goes through to prove to Bridget that he is ready to be with her for life just really make me swoon.  The author threw in enough comedic moments to add dimension to the book and enough drama to hold the interest of the readers from start to finish.  It was not a short book; it was a good length - about 430 pages - and the pacing was good.   Overall I give this book 4 stars; I now need to go back and look into other books this author has written.

Oh this book!! Does this author ever compose a book you don't fall in love with? As expected the writing is perfection and the second chance love story is always a favourite of mine.

When Ben (hot, gorgeous, dominant Ben) re-appears in Bridget's life after leaving her heartbroken five years previous with no explanation as to why he left her, she is seriously mad as hell. She has a new life and a new love. How dare he re-enter her life, cause problems and make her heart beat just that little bit faster just like it used to for him! Bridget is determined and just like the saying goes; hell hath no fury like a woman scorned - watch out Ben!!

Ben is this confident, gorgeous, sexy dominant hunk of a man that I fell in love with instantly, but he has demons and secrets that are hidden deep inside, but one thing he knows for sure. He wants Bridget and he means to re-woo her - but at what cost?

I really like Bridget's character; she is feisty and has a mouth on her, but she is loyal and has a good heart.

A dollop of humour and a big spoonful of romance with lots of suprising twists and turns along the way. I certainly never expected them, it makes this book just perfection. An absolute MUST read!!!

TL Swan has written another heart-wrenching love story of love, hope and heroes. This Epic piece of hotness kept we enthralled from the beginning until the very tear filled end.

Ben and Didge make another perfect instalment in TL Swan’s undeniable, angsty couple who just melt your heart and wish all heroes could have their happy ending like these two.

This story does delve into the importance of our war heroes and what testament of courage and strength they need to endure to stay sane and safe for themselves and the people they love. This is what made me fall hard for our hero in this story. His a man of honour and his damn loyal which just melts your insides to goo. And seriously who doesn’t love a man in uniform, swooon!!!!!

I seriously cannot wait for TL Swans next instalment into the Marx Series and I say this with the bottom of my heart and well what’s left of it, everybody MUST read her books. They grip you from the get go and bind you into their words effortlessly.

This has everything you want in a great read. Drama, humor and an uber alpha.

Ben and Bridget have an intense relationship. He’s a control freak and expects Didge to just do what she’s told and of course, that’s not happening.

Their fights are epic, she always threatening to strangle or kill him. On the outside, he does come across as a total wanker/asshole and he is but he has had a horrible past and has a complicated job. He’s very guarded and doesn’t get close to people.

Sometimes I wanted to junk punch him, his controlling and bad-tempered nature made it very hard to like him. Bridget, on the other hand, was hilarious she was very sassy, stands up for herself and seriously cracked me up when it came to dealing with him.

He’s not a bad guy but he’s broken and doesn’t deal with things how normal people would.

These two together are an explosion waiting to happen.

Another incredible, well written story by one of my favourite authors. I loved the Stanton series and had been anxiously awaiting Ben and Bridget’s story. Ms Swan did not disappoint with this book which had me captivated from the very first page.

I adore these two characters. Ben is a typical hot-blooded alpha male. He’s possessive and passionate but he is also damaged and doesn’t think he’s worthy of Bridget’s love. He broke her heart 5 years earlier but has now come back to claim his girl. Bridget is beautiful, sassy, strong willed and knows what she wants. She tried to move on with her life after Ben left her without any explanation as to why, but as much as she tries to deny it, she never really got over him and her love for Ben never died. But she struggles to get him to open up to her.

This book is full of angst, passion, suspense, and hot and steamy love scenes. It had me on a roller coaster of emotions. It had me swooning really bad for Ben, then feeling annoyed and frustrated with him at the same time. It had me on the edge of my seat and then crying sad but also happy tears. It was hard to put down and the ending was just perfect.

Marx Girl is one of my favourite reads this year.

Honestly never thought I would say this but move over Stanton men there’s a new alpha around who’s just knocked you from your thrones. Five years ago Ben and Didge had a secret love affair, he left but now he’s back to claim his woman, this is their story, read it and see how it unfolds trust me you won’t be disappointed.

Written in true Swan style showing us her impeccable writing skills, there’s very likeable main protagonists as well as equally likeable secondary ones that Stanton fans will be more than familiar with. There’s plenty of frustrating moments, there’s joy, tears and laughter and I have to mention the sexy times, Ben sure knows what he’s doing in that department.

This is a must read with a well deserved 5 out of 5 stars.

The cover and this book were appealing. It was like wanting a rich hot fudge sundae and once I started reading it, I discovered i had sugar free lime jello. The story was basic and the Didge was annoying and childish. Ben was so extreme alpha that he was a one dimensional character.

This story will take you on an emotional journey.The characters are so richly written that you can't help but feel like a witness to everything. Bridget has been in love with Ben almost from the beginning, but when he leaves her she is totally devastated. When Ben shows up five years later to reclaim Bridget as his, you begin to see the very fabric of the characters together and independently. Throughout the course of their up and down relationship Bridget finds out what Ben was hiding all those years ago and now the two of them are moving targets as assassins are now looking for them. Can Ben keep his promise and keep Bridget safe? Will their relationship withstand so many obstacles. This is definitely a story worth reading that will push you to feel every emotion possible.

Love lost, love lingered, love returned...but why?

Bridget fell in love with a man, completely in love. He loved her. Then he left.

Ben loved Bridget then and loves her more even now. Five years of torment. Everything has been for her. Only she has moved on. No matter, Ben has returned...for Bridget. But his past is back as well. Will he escape it or return to it?

Storyline was very captivating and relatable with today's headlines. Supporting cast shaped the couple well. Ben was as ALPHA as they come. His background simply corroborating evidence. I found Bridget frustrating. She was always hot and cold with Ben.

Author threw in lust and ? and a heart wrenching episode along with the incredible storyline.

Received an ARC at no cost to author. .. well folks in an the minority here, but you know what I am fine with that I was never one to follow the crowd, I did jot love this like at all. I found Ben to be a insensitive jerk, who has screwed all around the world for over 5 years but when he is warned that the girl he supposedly loved has finally found someone she can be happy with he decides he wants her back?? What, now now!! Oh hell no. And stupid Bridget who has a good guy (yes her was stupid with his jealousy) but you know what she fed right into it, because she immediately broke up with him and fell into bed with Ben, I appreciated Adrian for telling here the truth, not that she really cared. Then we she finds out his secrets, when she should stand by him, she doesnt.. but please!! Ben left quickly enough and here loves here so much that he was bout to jump in the bed with the first chick who hits on him..he was caught that was the only reason he didnt... but can u feel the love...nope

BEST book !!!!! Another book I started to read after just finishing a different book and just couldn't get into the story. I was only the first chapter in. I left it for a few days and came back and PHEW!! I am so happy that I did...I loved this story and how confident Ben was about getting her back and he's stop at nothing. Friends were super in this story and added so much! But totally didn't expect the story to take the spin it did and it made it more exciting and enjoyable that I was sad to see it end. Haven't read a book that touched me like this one in a long time. Great Story!!

What an emotional rollercoaster ride. If could just be I’m an emotional person. But this book had me laughing, yelling/screaming at my kindle and I even shed a few tears. This author really knows how to tug at your heart strings. Although, the majority of the book I liked. I felt like a little more context with Eric would have been nice. I wanted to hear a little bit more of that story. I felt like there was more to him and his relationship with Didge. Overall good book. From the start we know that Ben loves Bridget. And Bridget loves Ben, but after 5 years Bridget has found another boyfriend, Eric. This story was a roller coaster ride. So very angsty. I laughed. I cried. I loved this book!

I can't wait to start reading about the men of Marx Investigations, which is headed up by Bridget's brother Brock.

This is another great book in the extension of the Stanton series. Every character is like able. Great dialogue. A little angst. Some heat. Although the drama is a bit over the top and the take my brother in laws private jet around the world is a bit far fetched among a few other things. I enjoyed this book and it is fiction so...
Can't wait for TLs next book!!!

This group of books are outstanding. The collection of characters in these groups are hilarious, full of life, and surround your heart. This book captured me from the start. Truly sucked me in. Then when tragedy struck.. OMG!!! The tears began to flow, and I knew this book would not be put down until I ended it. I am truly a T L Swan fan. This book Rocks!!!!

Angsty, love story that will take you on a journey full of laughter, tears, and many sexy scenes. A must read for anyone that loves T.L. Swan books. The chemistry is off the charts. Ben and Bridget are perfect for one another, although they may or may not make you want to shake them. Overall a great read. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

I never cry while reading, well maybe twice. This is one of those rare times where tears actually roll down my face, and this is a hot romance novel! Steamy, sexy, fun and thrilling. Loved the plot because it was so different. Definitely a five star read. And to think I bought this for the cover!!

This way 10 times better than expected. I think my main draw was Didge. A lot of books like to tout the "strong independent woman", but actually fall very short on this promise. She is awesome, loud, loving and has no problem telling Ben off whenever she needs. She doesn't just back down. She's a character that seems quite real and very relatable.

This was good...Bridget and Ben story was fitting their characters. I love how all the characters are in each storyline and Joshua and Tash are still my favorites. Ben is awesome and reading his story helps you understand why he acts the way he does in the previous stories. I enjoyed it.... looking forward to the next adventure.

I absolutely loved Marx Girl! Reading Ben and Bridget’s story is going home to my favorite Stanton Land. I have been waiting for their story and the book hits the ground running from page 1. It takes you through every emotion. TL Swan writes characters that you fall in love with again and again. I’m highly recommend all of her books!

I'm so excited about this book! It was everything I wanted it to be and more. I sat on the edge of my seat most of the time because I just knew something bad was going to happen. There was so much drama and suspense it kept me guessing the whole time. Ben and Bridget's story was just amazing and I love them so much!!

Bridget is love able from the start, she’s beautiful both inside and out. Her heartbreak is so undeniably real when Ben walks out devastating her. We root for her happiness and then Ben comes back. Ben is handsome, funny, sexy and you will fall in love with him. Together is where you want them...this is there second chance.

If you want something that will pull every emotion from you, this is it!! TL Swan excels at this. What a great story, what a great couple but most importantly what a great way to spend your time with this book in your hands. Once your done you'll want to go back and live the entire Stanton world.

Like all the books in this series..this was amazing. Swan is a talented writer..the sex scenes....mind blowing but more importantly she writes stories that are interesting, captivating and you can’t help but want to savor every word. I really enjoyed this addition to the series.

Amazing! I have read and loved all of the Stanton family books but this may be one of my favorites! Beautiful love story, a surprising and heart breaking twist all coupled with a perfect HEA! If you want an amazing story with some steamy romance this is absolutely the best!

A definite must read...loved Ben and Bridgets story....5 years ago he left and now he is back to claim her and claim her he does..i felt every emotion., I laughed i cried and I wanted to bang their heads together at times. The chemistry is off the charts and its so well written I felt I was right there with them...this is a definite must read

Good read! Lots of twist, turns and unexpected events. It's nice to see real people and real characters and not caricatures. Women are not the only ones that have been hurt/damaged and this author shows the realness of unfortunate events that can shape who we become. My only complaint and female authors are guilty of this crime - the twin gene is passed thru a woman not a man, she has to either drop two eggs or split one, that has absolutely NOTHING to with a man. His sperm determines the sex of a child. For the love of God, twin births are not that common and then you go and mess it up by not understanding biology, please stop it!

Woah! What a awesome read! These two steam up the pages and we get a very emotional book. This author gives you everything you love in a romance.

TL Swan is my favourite author. Hands down. I love everything she has ever written. And this book did not disappoint. Featuring Ben and Bridget from (my beloved) Stanton series, this book sees them 5 years on. I don't want to say too much as you need to go in to this book blind. What I will say is that Ms Swan takes you on an incredible journey. I laughed, I cried, I shouted at my kindle, I cursed the author. I absolutely loved this book, I was hooked from start to finish!
