It has a lot of information put into easily understandable terms and the accompanying pictures were excellent. A good book to take with you whenever you go beach combing. You can learn a lot from this book.

Great book! Just flipping through it but it's very informative and also warns you of dangers if you're not a local. Only thing is, I wish there were more about the flowers and plants. But I'm sure there's another book for that!

This is the most comprehensive guide to collecting and identifying Florida shells that I have ever seen! I was able to identify a lot of the shells I found in the Ft. Myers area and was very pleased! This book was in the collection of our beach house rental, so when I returned home, I had to have it in my personal collection. I have collected shells for many years and have several shell books, but this one is the Best Ever! Thanks!

Florida's Living Beaches is an excellent field guide. It is packed with useful information. The format is easy to use and the information is detailed. The photography alone is worth the price of the book. I own many field guides and this one is the first "go to" resource.

Great book. Just the reference book I wanted. We walk the beach and find sharks teeth and now we'll start identifying those and other things we find. Thanks. (Bought a used copy and it was great).

We recently purchased this before a trip to Pensacola. We greatly enjoyed bringing shells back from the beach and using this book to identify them and learn a little extra. This book has just the right amount of information for casual naturalists like me and my 9-year old daughter.
