I LOVE this book, not just because of the tribute to our wounded warriors but because it is such great quality. The pages are heavier than most books to withstand the extra reading and flipping through it's sure to get. And a portion of every purchase is donated to veterans' causes. This book is "AWESOME". The people, stories, President G.W. Bushs' Art work. The work touched my heart. From beginning to end. The messages I felt were keep going forward, pride, honor & dignity . These folks are HEROES to me. I hope the reader will feel this work. I did !!!

A better president than painter, his respect and admiration of the military men and women who gave so much, so that Bernie Sanders and his ilk can spew socialist/totalitarian blather,shines through in the the art and the commentary.

Disregard whether you liked him or not, this book is a must have. Not only does he show considerable talent, all of the proceeds of this book go towards helping our wounded veterans. Thank you President Bush!

I feel everyone should read this book it shows what are people in the military go through and also shows the love President Bush has for the people of this country and the people of are military. History will show he was a great President and a great human being.

Bought as a house-warming gift for Republican friends. They were elated & said it was the best gift they got from some 100 guests! I of course perused it first & learned that GWBush is much more intelligent than I had thought. ?

With this beautiful book, President Bush shows that he is truly a good man at heart. The paintings are lovely and sensual, depicting his unique view of the soldiers personally met and painted. Their stories are a bonus.

George W. Bush will ultimately be remembered as one of the Greatest Presidents of the US. This book of his paintings will support the final determination. a Great Man, creating portraits of Great Americans.

President George W. Bush has proven to be more complex than the press would have us believe. His artwork is primitive but genuine. I bought the book out of respect for both President Bush and his important subjects.

I found that this was the most inspiring book that I have come across in a long time. I donate much of my time to wounded warriors programs and really like reading other things that are done for our soldiers.

A great valuable keepsake that pays tribute to our country's heroes. So happy to have
this in my art library. Being a painter myself, I know the work of every brushstroke.

As an artist who especially loves portraiture, I have not been disappointed in this book. I am impressed by his ability to capture the uniqueness of their personalities with his use of colors and brush strokes. I'd really like to know which book on Lucian Freud he studied. I'd like to find the one with the most examples (in color) of Freud's work.

This has been a great conversation piece. It's always at the top of the stack on my coffee table. Being a veteran and reading these stories makes me proud to know that our former president took the time to really get to know those who fought for our country. Thank you, 43.

All politics aside, this is a lovely book. I haven't finished reading the book entirely but I'm truly enjoying reading the individual stories that coincide with each of the portraits. It's very endearing.

Governor of Texas and two term President of the United States. After leaving office, Bill Clinton and Jimmy Carter tried to change the world for the better. In addition to the Bush Library, George painted those who he admires. What a wonderful tribute to those American heroes most forget about. Thank you, President Bush.
