Although, I liked the core story about Sawyer and her struggles and redemption that was truly something refreshing and new. I didn’t care for the sexual conclusion that every single guy was into her. This part of the story was not really needed or honest with itself. I would say to the author to back up from that unrealistic trap...I’ve seen other authors make this mistake and fans will definitely let you know to knock it off and stop reading your books when you don’t...just a thought.

Well written book with a very likeable, if somewhat dark, MC and a great cast of guys. I thought it little lame how easily she was captured initially but the story moves quick with many touching moments and a fantastic back story. Can't wait for the next book.

Thrilled that I gave this author and book a chance. The characters are incredibly descriptive and really draw you in to each and every one of them. Sawyer is an amazing fighter with special skill sets. Lots of action and this book is definitely a page turner!

Great story. I'm excited to see how things progress, including Sawyer's relationship with the guys. The beginning of the story had a lot of information before she even met the guys, but I think that just helped maybe her more believable and likable.

This was such an awesome story. So refreshing, not your typical boring book at all. There is some magic but not over the top, it’s just enough to make the book interesting. The main characters are complex and well developed. Loved every bit of this book!

And download this book. Look, I don’t ever leave reviews, but that’s how good this book was. This a slow burn RH and I hate those but this was PERFECT. The caring and feelings were there without banging from the get go. I was hooked from the first sentence. This book gutted me and then put me back together. The men are lovely, the MC raw and fragile all at the same time. I cannot remember the last time I read such a beautifully woven RH. It was suspenseful, romantic, intriguing. Hands down one of the best books I’ve read this year.

Sawyer was forced to do horrible things. Once she escaped that world she created a new one as a secret protector and vigilante. But finally, in order to protect those she loves, she must admit her past and live through the consequences.

Five stars given for a well written believable story. Sawyer is a no prisoner taken woman, but with a heart of gold for children in trouble. The agents guarding her are all "sex on a stick" which adds a fun side to the book without graphic sex scenes. This book is a must read by men or women who enjoy paranormal books. Thank you to Kristen Bandy for crafting this fun read!

Abosulutly loved this! I can’t stand books that have cowering damsels that require men to do all the work and Sawyer doesn’t disappoint. She’s spunky, stands on her own two feet, and rescues herself and her boys!

This was a very intriguing and unique storyline. I enjoyed the characters and I'll definitely be continuing this series. I would have liked more romance, but that's just a personal preference, and I have a feeling it's coming.

Fantastic start to a series. Well-written, gritty, sexy. A few spelling errors or incorrect words, but really not problematic or distracting.

I look forward to book 2, and Sawyer hopefully getting some action!

This was just plain amazing! I love Sawyer and the guys. I like how the characters are developing. There are definitely some twists i was not expecting! This is a must read. I cannot wait for the next one!

This book is definitely more action-packed and full of twists than others in this genre. If you’re looking for a book similar to the Academy of Assasins by Stacey Brutger, look no further and you won’t be disapppointed.

The writer, Kristen Banet, definitely has the ability to write. But more importantly, she's able to bring you, the reader, into the story for an almost unbelievable story weaved of fantasy and "what if's"? Not enough writers can achieve this level of ability. Bravo, Ms. Banet, Bravo!!!

Actually never read anything from this author before but took a chance on a “recommended read”. The story grabbed me quickly and I couldn’t put it down. This is a slow burn reverse harem romance set in the world of the magi but with a new darker twist. Can’t wait for the second edition to the story.

Wow! There are triggers in this. Our heroine is scarred visibly, mentally, and emotionally, but he is amazing. I was hooked from the beginning all the way to the end. Our team of guys is great, and I look forward to learning more about them as well.
