Since I have received Belly Fat Cure, being a Chef the recipes are easy and very good. Following the book exactly, I actually lost 5 pounds in one week. This also included light exercising, I am a very young looking 51 year old man and finally decided it was time to get healthy and acquire weight loss. I have gotten results with this book and recipes, if you can cook and fill your pantry with the ingredients that you need, that means getting rid of that chocolate, and ice cream,,,:-?. Some products I did have to order online, but it is worth the healthy change. So that's my opinion on this book. Must read it to understand the concept. I would recommend this book to friends, family and YOU.

I really like Jorge Cruise and think he knows about eating healthy, but the plan in this book is not easy or cheap to follow. It might help you lose weight for a short time, but I think I would get tired of avoiding fruit and all added sugar (even in bread) forever. I passed the book on to a friend who needed to lose weight fast for an event. I went back to the 3 Hour Diet by Jorge Cruise...it works.

I ordered this book after hearing how a friend lost alot of weight following this plan. I have read the book and adjusted it to my life. I don't want a diet that is too strict... if it is, I will not stick to it. I don't want a diet that is too difficult to keep up with... If it is, I will not keep up with it. For the past 7 days I have been keeping my carbs per day under 120 grams and my sugar under 15 grams. As of this morning I had lost 5.5 lbs. I know this is not how Jorge wanted the diet to be done; he wanted to count carb servings. This just seemed easier to me. 6 20 gram servings is still 120 carbs. I am eating Ribeye's, mashed potatoes, salads with ranch, and LOVING IT!! My husband just said that this is the first "diet" i Have been on and NOT be GRUMPY!!! I need to lose about 25 lbs and I will stick with this until I do. I really think this is a life changing approach for me!! I needed something to guide me and this was just the thing. I know there will be occasions when I will eat a piece of birthday cake or my grandma's homemade german chocolate cake, but I know this will always be there for me to fall back into at the next meal.

I really enjoyed a lot of these recipes. They taste great but I do not do well with any carbs. This would really help someone that eats a lot of food and wants to cut back. They are easy to make, and, made some of them ahead of time so I could just grab as needed which is great for people that work.

I can not recommend this enough! I have lost weight and kept it off using Jorge's plan in this book. Numerous friends of mine have done the same. You have to stick to it with no exceptions - but it works!

Followed the recommendations contained in the book and so far I've lost 15 lbs. in 3 weeks. Was able to find many of the products in local grocery stores. Most of the meals are easy to follow and you are never hungary.

I bought this book because I really wanted to lose those last 10-15 pounds that were hanging on for dear life. I'm not a dieter at all, so this is my first attempt. It's hard, I'm not going to lie. I lasted 2weeks without sugar the first go and I lost 8 pounds. Cant' complain about that. However, as soon as I ate sugar, those pounds quickly, and expected, came back on. It was also hard because a lot of the recipes in this book call for Mayonase or bacon or things like that I have been taught all my life NOT to eat. So, that was a little hard to eat those things. I tried a lot of the recipes and they are really yummy. Maybe it's the real mayo. I think the book is good and it's true, sugar makes me you fat. However, I don't really think high fat things should be consumed so eagerly. So, those are my reasons for 3 stars.

Recipes look good. Went to 5 different grocery store chains and couldn't find 8 things for the different recipes. With shipping costs being what they are I am certainly not going to order the stuff. Also, every can of fruit that I looked at was way too high in sugar grams per this book. I live in a small town and have enough trouble getting good fresh fruit. We usually go once a month to a larger town and get the canned goods, etc. so there is a second considerable hurdle to using this book.
Very disappointed.

I was skeptical when friends shared this book with me... afterall, how many times have I told myself I would start eating healthier .. tomorrow?
This books helps you get started immediately..... with photo examples of what is "belly bad" vs. "belly good." My hubby and brother both said they thought the book was more about promoting certain products, but if you read it, you will see that the belly bad and good products are just examples ....
This is an easy read, the first chapter explains what ratio of sugars and carbs you need to eat each day, then the rest of the book includes photos and recipes of realistic food swaps. Friends that have followed this as a way to change eating habits have lost 20- 30 pounds in just three months time!

Inspirational,even though product names are all American which makes it diffcult when you have to purchase products in Australia.
I did not appreciate that sugar is also greater with numerous fat free products.
It has caused me to read the product details much more closely as fat free products appear to obtain a greater amount of sugar.
My weight loss sucess has not been spectactular but it is happening as I change my lifestyle to accommodate the 'Belly Fat Cure'.
Thank you Jorge Cruise for helping a senior citizen to lead a heathy lifestyle.
I would recommend this publication to everyone interested in maintaining control of their dietary life and wellbeing.
Definetely a five star publication designed for your ultimate benefit.

This book was interesting to read. I love the use of products and how they effect your dieting program.this product is kept close so you can look items up to see if you can creation your diet. You make the choice good or bad.

After trying to lose weight and reading labels for years rarely with any weight loss, I am so excited about this book. The main idea is to cut sugar grams to 15 grams per day. Do you realize that there is sugar (or artificial sweeteners) in just about everything we eat. Immediately I started losing weight and don't feel cheated. The book is so well designed and visual that it makes it all so easy. I highly recommend this book!

I purchased this title after reading about it in another health magazine. I was very pleased with the purchase. I never realized just how much sugar we Americans consume. The book is very informative and clearly lays out the plan. I love all the Photos that accompany the products that are allowed. The meal plans are also very helpful for planning out your week. I also loved all the detailed recipes for the the different dishes, and they were super simple as well. Anyone willing to try out Jorge's plan will be pleasantly surprised by how easy and great tasting this plan is.

The "Bellyfat Cure" is as the title suggest a great way of looking at all the extra luggage we carry around the middle. When you apply what Jorge has to offer in this book to your look on food, then only one thing will happen, you will lose that big belly you have been carrying around for years. The system itself is easy to understand, it is more difficult to locate foods with less sugar in them, than it is to follow the recipes. What's more the food's that you can eat are delicious and after a few weeks, you won't miss all those chocolate covered comfort foods or the the fizzy drinks that fill your body with sugar. So I would highly recommend this book to anyone, what have you got to lose ? Only your bellyfat. Enjoy.

The book is easy reading and very easy to understand. You have to put a lot of effort into your meals. The book gives you many ideas. We have been on the diet for 3 weeks, Lost some weight, but not like you see weight loss from the Akins diet. I like this diet will continue it for a couple more months

Very Interesting all of the BAD stuff that we eat and really don't know what is in it or really how bad it is for us. I was just amazed with all of the bad stuff that I thought was good for us. Love the pictures but needs some more recipes and things in there for the good foods that we can eat or variations of them

The disappointed was, I suppose, partly my fault for expecting more information for gluten intolerant people. There was mention of it but only one suggestion for meals. The rest of the meals were full of gluten filled recipes. With celiac disease and gluten intolerance being so prevalent these days, it would sure be helpful if the author could come up with something for those of us who deal with it.

FINALLY a diet book that helped me change my life! I started reading this book the first week of January 2010. I was a bit skeptical, then started watching sugar intake on my own, read labels on foods I love and had a rude awakening so I decided to try it full force! Two weeks ago (1/15/10) I shopped at Whole Foods & Fruitful Yield for some of the specific low sugar items, and followed the 15/6 ratio for sugar/carbs and lost 6 pounds, in these two weeks, AND my tightest jeans are actually comfortable to wear! I have more energy throughout the day and don't have to giveup the foods I love! The ice cream and brownie recipes are DELICIOUS!! Try it and see for yourself, you won't regret it!

Good book! Easy to read with lots of information. Yet, it doesn't overwhelm the reader with pointless stuff. What you learn here makes you think. Although I think I want the hard cover copy just for the recipes.

Where have you been all of my life Jorge Cruise? I have tried every diet there is, and have changed my diet to whole foods. I always had success on the Atkins Diet, but would sell my soul for fruit six weeks into his program. My 79 year old mother purchased this book and lost 4 pounds her first week. If you are looking for a diet that works with real life this is it.

I have been studying nutrition and various diets for almost three years. Of all the materials I have read, this plan tops the list.
It gets at the root cause of diabetes and obesity which is sugar, and gives people an easy to follow plan without being restrictive like paleo. It also is easy for people following gluten free , and can be adapted for vegetarians as well. Kudos to Jorge!

Got this book the other day. Read the entire book. It has some good tips, but it all comes down to common sense. If you limit your sugar and carb intake....you will loose weight! You just have to want to do it, and have the willpower to maintain a different life style in eating to obtain that goal!!! Not much of a revelation!!!

The whole idea of limiting refined sugar just makes sense. Diabetes is rampant in the US population and it's being diagnosed at younger ages. This program is an easy way to become aware of our sugar intake and nealy painless way to reduce it. To top that off, you can lose the belly fat. How great is that!

Can't give it 5 stars, because Jorge Cruise (Cruz?) has a bunch of other books with more foods to eat/avoid. Without even trying hard, by merely reading the first part of the book, I've changed my grocery buying habits, and lost another 5 pounds. This beats all the other diets I've been on, because it's simple to understand and follow.

Well, the book got here quickly and I was excited to read the newest miracle and while I'm sure it works if you love cooking and don't mind buying special items (almond flour, almond milk, whey protein powder,Ezekiel bread etc.), it wasn't for me. Also, I hate counting everything that goes in my mouth. It becomes an obsession and very tedious. And I like my fruit and this Belly Fat Cure limits a lot of fruits. Those ARE my snacks so I can't reach for an apple for a mid-afternoon snack...although walnuts or almonds are a great alternative as my Cruise states, I like me a good apple.

I'm just not that interested in finding these specialty items and I hate cooking and while I got some great tips and I'm using them, I'm going to go ahead and stick to eating what I want in moderation, sticking to lower carb foods (stepping away from the donuts) and exercising. I'm losing more like 5 lbs a month rather than 4-9 in a week like the book states you will lose. And by the way, I have some friends on this and they really are losing about 5 lbs a week, so it does work.

I will say I do like his emails and the little videos attached and they make sense (these are both free, just sign up). I think if I liked to cook this book would be ok but since I don't and about half the book is recipes, it's not for me. I gave it 4 stars because the concept is good, it lost one star because of the difficulty of it all (cooking and counting). Eating should be something you do to sustain life, not an obsession and all diets make me feel that way, not just this one.

For those who are doing great on it, congratulations and keep up the great work! I commend you!

Arrived on time and in perfect condition. Book is an easy read and helpful. Only negative is the carb counter in the back of the book only lists "healthy" already low-carb foods. If you are learning to cut down your carbs and sugars the counter isn't much help.

I got the book on a recommendation from my sister. The book is easy to follow and the change on eating habits are within reason. No depriving yourself of anything you know you shouldn't have in the first place. I'm glad I made the purchase.
