This series of books was absolutely perfect. I love that there is a manga adaptation for the Legend of Zelda games. This ten book series just wowed me. The books were in perfect mint condition with a nice box, and the story and plot are fantastic and follow along just right with the games. I highly recommend any Legend of Zelda fanatic to buy this. This is money well spent.

I had recently got this product for my girlfriend because she is head of heels for anything The Legend of Zelda. Rceiving this item was the best thing that could happen because it came with all of the manga and an additional poster to boot! She will not put the books down and continues to read over them continuously because of how much detail and life the actual series has brought from these set of genuine graphic books.

This collection is beautiful and in perfect condition. It arrived on time and even came with a poster inside the box. Each manga is beautiful and well worth the money. Im a huge fan and I needed this to add to the collection.

Love to read, would be more awesome if everything be in full colour instead of black & white. The product page doesn't mention the stories are in black & white, believed it would be in full colour due the box and the books covers are coloured in.
Nonetheless a must have for every Zelda Fan!

Great price, glad when I received it but...
Box containing the books came damaged but the books were perfect quality. The delivery was made with care and was packaged well but was I surprised to see no protective bubble wrap or air pockets to protect my product! Not happy that the box was flimsy enough to cause breakages so easily.
But overall everything else I was satisfied with.

9 books about a great video game series! :) This is the first manga set I've ever ordered, although I'm familiar with the concept. The first 4 books have taken me about 45 minutes each to read. In my opinion, this money well spent for any Zelda fan!

Simply put, anyone who loves Zelda and reads manga should give this collection a read. These stories stray slightly from those told in the games, but each change generally adds a new emotional element or aesthetic idea that the games themselves may have had difficulty in pursuing.

We ordered this series of books for our granddaughter and she loves them. She has read them several times already. She was so excited about getting them, and they came even before we expected them! Just what we were hoping for!

This doesn't completely follow the Zelda games, but it's close enough that those who play the games can still read it happily. This is wonderful for people who can't afford or can't successfully play Zelda games but still love the story! In stores each book is $7.99 each and there are ten books. This series costs over $80 including sales tax yet it's $40 with waived shipping and handling! This is a wonderful buy and anyone who can should snatch it up!

Fantastic set for anyone who loves zelda or just manga in general, THe hardcover books are such great quality. The only downside to this set is the box that all the books come in, its not very sturdy, a little flimsy

Just gorgeous, and in beautiful condition. A little poster is included, along with all the mangas, Ocarina of time through Phantom Hour glass. They're all amazing and well done, giving a lot more insight and character to Link. I just really loved it!

Terms you may not know:
Manga - Japanese comic books read right to left
Mangaka - The author/illustrator of manga
Scanlators - People who scan original Japanese manga and translate them. They then distribute their work for free typically over the internet.
Typically I find that translations available for sale [especially for different audiences] often dampens the enjoyment of the original work due to localisation issues and trying to keep it understandable for the new target audience. Despite that, I bought it [being a Zelda fan]. Although I've only read the first three books so far, the translations are rather nice and jokes have been rather well adapted. I've no qualms at how they condensed the story and removed elements from the games during the adaptation as the mangakas probably had no choice due to the size of each manga. The humour works fine for the target audience and personally, I find it quite enjoyable because the jokes are so obvious and bold.
The character himself receives several overhauls that can only really be summarised with "he talks". If you don't like it like that, it's fine. He becomes a really interesting character like that because no longer does he do whatever you feel like doing, he struggles with himself and why he's doing things sometimes like a normal human [despite the fact that he's ridiculously overpowered].
The parcel however was left outside my door for a day apparently. The corners of the box seems to be damaged. Although that being expected it was also somewhat a disappointment as the box was rather simply made [cardboard]. I guess I'm not too picky.
I honestly miss the Japanese sound effects and terms that you often see in manga. There are often a lot of cases where scanlators choose to leave known terms that can't be translated into English very well as they are. I personally miss them but it works just fine without it. If you feel you're missing them, consider learning Japanese and buying the originals.
Rating: Out of 10
Translation: 9/10
Story: 9/10
Character: 10/10 [Link is awesome]
Overall, very enjoyable. Naturally, the choice to buy it is yours. I was open-minded [still am] and got it out of interest and I definitely don't regret it. Now for my Skyward Sword to arrive~
[EDIT]: I've read through all the individual manga volumes and now I can confidently say I do no regret my decision to purchase the box set. The adaptation from game to Japanese manga and then to an english one have all been done very well and to a high standard. All other issues have been previously mentioned and thus need not be mentioned once again. Also, I've finished Skyward Sword now~
