Soldier (Made Man Book 1)

Too fast to really enjoy the relationship between Gia and Dante. You get nothing out of the characters as far as who they really are and why they'll be good for each other. The author tried to explain why Terry was in trouble but left out just why Dante was protecting him, what the mother had to do with it and just how Gia's siblings turned their back without a care in the world.

I mean after the house situation you'd think her siblings would at the very least call her and make sure she's alright. I mean come on, she's supposed to be a nun and they left her out in the wind like she was just as foul as Terry. A ton is missing in this to make it a great story but the ending is just enough to make you think that in the next one you'll understand more.

Mafia books are becoming more popular but this is the first one I have read, and I can say that if they all come up to this standard then they are going to be very popular.
Gia is an interesting person, a people pleaser, entering the Convent to please her mother and trying to please first her brother and then Dante, do I have problem with this, I have to say no because I'm a people pleaser too, and in so many of Gia's actions I could myself doing exactly the same. And you have to remember she is a good Italian girl, and often they are bought up to obey.
I fell for Dante very quickly when I saw how he cared for Gia, it wasn't just a physical response but very much an emotional and sincere reaction. I loved how the POV switched between the two as it gave me such an insight to this gentle man who had to do a job he was very good at but didn't enjoy. Until he met Gia it seemed that his life had been very bleak indeed.
Terry Gia's brother is an example of how fast you can go down hill and how easy it is to get involved in shady dealings, but through it I have to say he was a wimp and we weren't meant to and I didn't like him at all.
The Mafia is a real presence and it is interesting to see how it is portrayed through the romance novels, this is only the first in the series and I can't wait until we learn more about Dante and Gia. This wasn't a cliffhanger more of a happy for now that you know is leading onto further instalments.

What an amazing book, you have Dante the hot alpha bad boy and Gia the sweet innocent almost nun, You know what they say about opposites attracting? Well this is so true in the book, after Dante see's Gia you see more then the bad boy in him, you see the true man he was meant to be.

Liliana has written another start to what is going to be an amazing series!! Can't wait to see what happens next!
