Light, hilarious, chick-lit, who done it, that had me laughing out loud for real, and also put a few tears in my eyes with some heart touching moments. A Marilyn Monroe look alike that stops traffic when she runs, mixed with a dutiful daughter, a caring nurse and you have a combination I adore. Mercy Watts my new fave Nurse/Detective. Keep the books coming!

I liked the characters although I wasn't quite sure of some of their history. I thought that it could have been written with no bad language. The story flowed along at a good pace which I liked. The absence of sex scenes was great!!! I would read another one of this author's books.

The cover was a little off-putting since I assumed that it was a "chic novel," but it really was a very well written mystery with an original twist that I will keep to myself. It probably does have more appeal to females, but I see no reason why males wouldn't get some laughs at the action as well. Read through the first chapter before you toss it aside.

I found this book to be enjoyable. Others have compared it to Evanovich and I can see why but in my opinion the writing is much better, there is no need for the appalling language and sex that Evanovich does and the characters are enjoyable. A very clean enjoyable read! I hope to read more about Mercy! Oh and the MM bit was a cute side angle.....

Enjoying the Mercy Watts series immensely. Haven't quite figured out Chuck, and I feel really bad for Mercy looking like "you konw who"...but I'm having a good time reading about everyone. My only complaint is that there aren't more of them. :)

I thoroughly enjoyed reading your humorous story. I loved all the different characters in the book. I laughed through all the interactions between Mercy and Chuck, Aaron and Uncle Morty. I look forward to reading more of your work.

The plot moved along quickly, and Mercy is a smart, funny and surprisingly sympathetic character. Just a woman trying to do her job and live her own life but challenged by physical features and busy family business she didn't choose, but has, to live with. I would read a sequel.

Good mystery. Nurse Mercy Watts investigates the death of a family friend who supposedly has a heart attack but turns out to be murdered. There are all sorts of crazy characters and adventures that finally lead to the discovery of the deed. Never a dull moment.

Mother-daughter Marilyn Monroe look alikes, a detective dad, several foodaholics, a frightening nun and a group of conniving old men are only a portion of the cast of characters involved in making "A Good Man Gone" a delightful read. Definitely looking forward to Book 2.

This is a little different from all the other lady-crime-solver books. The heroine is a nurse with a lot of hang-ups and some of the supporting cast members are interesting. Not great literature but an enjoyable read. I think this is intended to be (may already be) one of a series starring Mercy Watts.

Love the series and love the author. Have read them all and can't wait for the next book in the series. An easy read with laugh out loud humor. Is the editing perfect? No, but as an avid reader, I have yet to find very many books that are perfectly edited. Great book!!

Her father is a retired detective gone into private practice. His old partner has died rather suddenly. An autopsy reveals some strange happenings which leads to his being murdered. She takes on the case and gets her eon life in danger. This is a good mystery read.

I got a little tired of hearing the Marilyn Monroe thing. And she and her mom could NOT be as hot as the author seems to think they are. I don't care how hot you are, you don't stop traffic. That's such a dumb cliche. Regardless, it was an entertaining book...but it would have been SO much more entertaining if I didn't hate the main character.

I was annoyed by her character always reminding us that she was a dead ringer for Marilyn Monroe, it was very distracting from the story. Also, all men wanted her, Please-----STOP!!!! Too distracting from the story.

Enjoyable, funny, lighthearted book. There is a nice mystery to solve while hanging out with the kooky family members and friends. I just can't imagine having strangers always checking me out from head to toe because I looked like a long deceased Hollywood beauty. What a burden for Miss Mercy!

a good read, with likeable characters and a decent plot line. the main characters beauty, which was not relateable, was amusing and still made her likeable, but it had its own consequences. I would recommend this to anyone who wants a leisurely read.

I love this series. Mercy Watts is so likeable. When a family friend dies, Mercy's dad tells her to look into it. As Mercy investigates she realizes he was mudered and his current case is tied into his murder.

Interesting, different, definitely a work of fiction. Not going to win any literary awards but fun and an easy read. I will definitely be reading more as I enjoyed all the characters and the storyline!

Very well written and a fun read! Plot development is well done! The protagonist's good looks ( a ringer for Marilyn Monroe) seems to be over emphasized unnecessarily and distracts from the otherwise funny and enjoyable book.

I was hooked after a couple of pages! Fast paced, laugh out loud funny, interesting and quirky characters and very well written. I was looking for my next Mercy book before I was halfway through this one!

A lot of suspense in the storyline and some humor. It is a good mystery. But I felt like the story wasn't finished when it ended and I got tired of the heroine talking about her big breasts and the attention they drew from men.
