A turn-about on the heroine being transported back in time to the days of chivalry. We have a displaced warrior from the 17th century well before Culloden transported to modern Scotland, an American heiress to a Scottish castle, and assorted friends embarking on an adventure which could span several books. Altogether delightful!

I personally did not care for this book. Come on, you call a cocktail waitress to help you because she reads time travel. The friend was always scattered. The ending left you hanging. I like when the books in a series can stand alone. I know they are trying to sell more books, but stand alone books are best.

I love the book especially that it wasn't drenched in sexual content. I read it quickly but I didn't like the ending. I found out it was a series of books and the ending left you hanging. It wasn't tied up. At the back of the book there was a look into the next book and what I saw there made me know that even though I loved the story and book I couldn't go any further. I hate when there is love and then there is a split and you don't know. It ruins the love that you go through in that first book. I can't read any more of her books unless it is a stand alone book. She's a great writer.

This is a great Story that masquerades a romance story. It is really a stealthy romance novel. Imagine inheriting a Scottish castle when wild things happen, so you send for your best friend from America. Then the fun begins. A man appears from three centuries earlier and the story starts. It's a good read

This is a good rainy day read, but somewhat predictable and not exactly high art. But then again, I don't think anything about this book sets the expectation that this is going to be that kind of reading experience. The author does, however, deliver exactly what the book promises and I enjoyed the book in one sitting.

I rather enjoyed this book. Story line occasionally got out of hand and long winded, but overall I basically couldn't put it down. Romantic scenes could have used a little more steam and description and the build up to those scenes could have more heat. I'm so reading the next one though.

I loved,, loved the Lost Highlander! I found it ever interesting. Just when I thought I knew for sure what was going to happen, bam! The story took on a new direction of action. The Lost Highlander was fun reading with just a twist of magic. I found it hard to put down. I recommend this book for everyone!

Loved the quirky characters. Left me wanting more, which is exactly what a reader wants. I wanted to see what happened to Daria and her lover when he disappeared back in time, what happened to Lachlan, but I believe that's to be continued. I recommend it to everyone who likes a romance with time travel sequences a little suspense and humor.

I totally enjoyed this fantasy time travel novel. The story of best buddies becoming involved with people from another time and the relationships that develop. I'm looking forward to reading "Reunited". I caught myself laughing out loud several times as you could see how funny some of the things were that these characters came out with.

Good story Evelyn and Piper with Piper's friend Sam. They have a Highland man from the past at Piper's estate. They need to send him back to his time but it doesn't quite work. In stead Sam and Evelyn get sent back in time. Piper is left trying to figure out how to get her highland man back to the past and getting Sam and Evelyn back to the future.

After just completing the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon, it was hard to get into this book. It took a long time for the story to get going. Some of the comments made by the friend Piper were like a 14 year old and also some comments did not sound like American/Texans but from England. It was a free book so I shouldn't complain. I didn't look forward to reading it yet I didn't give up on it.

Thoroughly enjoyed every minute of this page turner! This is only the second author of time travel novels that I have read, and this only because it was set in Scotland. It was a terrific read, and apart from getting up to feed myself, I was perfectly content to keep going until I finished. Magic.

This author is so good at keeping you in suspense that I found myself reading faster so that I good see what happened next. In fact, I cheated and skipped to the end to make sure the tale had a happy ending. Please don't skip the epilogue. It is not your usual "time" storiy.

Hope there is another book coming soon! I hated to put this one down. I love the characters and want to know what is going to happen. The only critism I have is when the character uses matches in 1729. She would not have had matches in that time period.
Otherwise, I thoroughly enjoyed the story.

A great story quite different from all the other Highland stories I have read. This is the first time I have read any books written by Cassidy Cayman, and I look forward to reading more books written by Cassidy. The past and the future really come together in this book, very hard to put down.

Although a relatively short read, the author packs in a lot of can't-put-it-down details of two best friends and their discoveries in an ancient Scottish castle. Time travel, adventure, magic, romance, danger.....and Scotland. What more could you ask for?

WOW...what a story...going back and forth in time...lions and tigers and bears...on my!!! I enjoyed the characters, the oddity of the people in small places and olden places...I read it quickly, because I couldn't put it down! Can't wait for to read the next book in the series!

The story starts off great, but fizzles at the end, I found several inconsistencies written in the novel. However, it could be a great book if the author rewrites several parts, including the endings. You have to purchase her second book to find out what happens to the h/h.

So many twists and turns; romance, suspense, adventure and old family secrets. This story was wonderfully romantic. I kept looking for time during my work day to sneak a little reading time. I would love travel to Scotland visit old castles to feel the history around me.Definitely going to read the whole series.

This was a pretty good romance novel. The fact that the stars are not the main characters can be a bit confusing but it's well written, characters are well fleshed out. I liked the twists about her ancestors but the past scenes seem a bit more disconnected than the ones in the present

Time Travel and a highland hottie - great combination for a time travel romance. I loved the interesting plot twists. If you like this type of reading, you'll love this. The only problem I had with this book was a couple of the plot twists were predictable. Still, I liked it.

Didn't really have much on the lost highlander. Should have been Falling for a Highlander Man.
What ties did Sam have with the estate? What did her grandmother leave her for information. It said she found some things but she knew more then the story said.

Some liberties were taken with history for the sake of the story, but the TRUE story was still told, for the most part. I loved this book, and the sequel, for the exciting storey it told and the wonderful character development. Definitely worth a read!

Shortly after reading the first three chapters I was whisked away and couldn't stop. The love and compassion that is placed page-to-page is a sure pick-me-up. I could not stop, I had to finish...had to know what would happen...The characters are so engaging and thought out. I had to buy the others and continue to the bitter sweet end.
