This quickly has become my favorite and most recommended cookbook. I have a middle school age son, and love to hand this to him and have him pick out a couple meals for us each week. The photo presentation of each and every dish is so inspiring, it makes you want to eat your veggies. I love the way it is organized alphabetically by the main ingredient as well, and lets you know what is in season when at the begining of each section. It's user friendly, and a great inspiration to eat beautiful colorful wholesome foods.

This is an excellent cookbook that covers veggies from A-Z. I appreciate the healthy and simple approach to preparing a meal. This book has expanded the way I will approach cooking with recipes such as 'grilled pepper & quinoa taco salad' to 'loaded sweet potato nachos'. The photos are also excellent quality.

Pretty photos, but recipes are just ok. Have made spring leek & lemon pasta (ok but cooked radish? yucky), sweet potato tacos (ok but nothing great about it), mango daikon glass noodle salad (so-so bland flavor unless you punch it with sriracha) and crispy shiitake blts (actually best thing from the book, but shrooms cooked up teensy more like bacon bits, and I improvised a bit to get more flavor). Organization is also rather annoying, especially since there's no index.

I really like the blog and the layout and photography of this book is beautiful, but the recipes are so simple that it seems a little silly to include them in a cookbook. There are much more interesting and flavorful recipes on the blog. So many of them just seemed to involve tossing vegetables with olive oil, salt, pepper, and lemon juice. I like my flavors more intense than that. I returned the book but will keep using the blog recipes for inspiration.

I didn't care for this cookbook and returned it. I'm a longtime vegetarian and have dozens of cookbooks and I rarely return anything like this but I just didn't find the recipes in here to be very inspiring. I found them downright boring. I also didn't like the layout. The photos were nice though.

The Love and Lemons Cookbook by Jeanine Donofrio and Jack Matthews is a beautifully illustrated cookbook filled with gorgeous photos. Their cookbook uses seasonal ingredients and is aimed towards quick, impromptu cooking. I also liked how she tagged recipes according to dietary tastes. For example in the Creamy Broccoli Recipe you'll read Vegan|Gluten-Free telling how the recipe is Vegan|Gluten-Free.

If you have nut allergies, you might want to take a pass on this book as a lot of the recipes use nuts.

Some of the recipes you'll find in their cookbook include:

Balsamic Radicchio Salad
Corn, Tomato & Mozzarella Salad
Cold Sesame Cucumber Noodles
Spring Onion Pizzas
Butternut Squash Red Curry
Double Chocolate Zucchini Muffins

Recommend.

I love this book! The author is from Central Texas and uses produce available in that area. I am in North Alabama and I haven't had trouble finding any of the ingredients in this book. The cooking philosophy is really laid back in this book. She offers ways to use what you have on hand or what is in season at the farmer's market. None of the recipes are fussy so it is easy to sub or add in extra stuff you need to use up. I am vegan, so a few of these recipes (Dutch Baby, Avocado and Egg Tacos for example) don't work for me. That being said the vast majority of the recipes suggest easy substitutions to make them vegan. For the most part she only uses cheese as a topping so it is as easy as skipping it. In some recipes she suggests replacing yogurt with a sunflower recipe in the appendix. In these cases I have simply been using Coconut Yogurt which works great. My omnivore family has loved the recipes I made them and asked for more.

I purchased this cookbook a few weeks ago because my daughter & I are trying to go vegetarian. Everything recipe I've tried in Love & Lemons has been delicious. Not only that, they are easy and QUICK to prepare. I love to cook and make intricate dishes, but on a day-to-day basis, I'm often tired from work and getting a late start in preparing something for dinner. So, this cookbook is a godsend. Delicious health veggies on your table within 15-30 minutes.

This is a really beautiful cookbook with seasonal recipes. The book is broken down into sections by main ingredient (veggie). If you are not vegan/vegetarian don't be put off by this book. You can still add meat to these dishes. The pictures, layout, and design of this book is impeccable. It's a work of art. It's absolutely stunning to flip through- a real prize. This book is very smartly arranged with recommended pantry essentials and tools, instructions on how to cook basic things individually from recipes (in the back, which makes recipes easier to read and isolates them to one page). All the aspects of this book make me appreciate it and use it well. Most recipes have worked well for me with only a couple really not working at all. I have nothing bad to say about the book.

This cookbook has expanded my repertoire and given me great ideas for ways I can improvise.

I can't say enough positive things about this book! I've cooked my way through about half of it now and every recipe has been delicious while still being health conscious. I can't wait for another book from her!

I received an Advance Uncorrected Proof copy of this book through Goodreads Giveaways.

This is going to be a very nice cookbook when you see it in the store. My copy has a few colored photos and they are so nice! The hardcover book will have all colored photos, not black and white. And there are photos for all the recipes.

I really like the setup in the cookbook. It starts out with How to cook with what you have on hand, and then goes into What to have on hand at all (or most) times. Then it goes into chapters on fruits and vegetables, with recipes for those particular fruits and vegetables. It is a very lovely book and I will be making use of it.
