The Girl and Her Ren (Ribbon Duet Book 2)

I have never left a book review before. This duet has compelled me to do so for the first time ever. It’s the first to bring me to full blown tears, ugly cry tears, tears of joy, bittersweet tears! You name it, I cried them! Ren and Della will grab a hold of you and never let you go. Their story will take you through every phase of love and then some. As much as I don’t want to admit this; it was written as it should be. There could be no other way! It is a duet about life, after all. Pepper’s writing is so brilliant; she pulls you into the story and makes you feel as if you are right there with the characters!! She makes you feel EVERYTHING!! I recommend this book to anyone who is open minded and courageous enough to read something different, but real! This duet is authentic! Thank you, Pepper! You exceeded all my expectations! You gave me a duet I didn’t realize I needed!

I absolutely devoured this book ! Ren and Dellas story is breathtaking. I do not want to give anything away to ruin it for the readers but just know this is a journey you will not regret taking. It speaks of the strength of true love and how it is everlasting . It is a story I was initially not sure I could handle reading yet ended up being life affirming and life changing.

Wow this duet was a crazy journey with the highest highs and lowest lows. It will make you laugh and it will make you cry. Pepper really let the characters tell there story through her and I felt as if I was right there with Ren and Della through there highs and lows of life. There story will touch you deeply, and of your like me who loves a good story than definitely read this duet. You wont want to put it down as I've stayed up many nights reading the passages that've torn my heart out but also made me so happy.

I loved the first book in this series entirely. This one was good for about 1/4 of it and then it turned me off. The reason is the writer made their “love” for each other so intense and so over the top that it just eclipsed the storyline. It was disappointing. I did not end up finishing it 3/4 through because I just couldn’t take their intense love anymore.

This story has twisted me into a mess!!! I know that this is the reality that many face but boy oh boy does it gut you open!!!! I am happy to have taken the journey of Ren and Della!!!! I have ugly cried and fell madly deeply in love with them!!! Do yourself a favor and read this duet!!! You will laugh, cry, who and fall madly deeply in love ?too!!!!!!!

This book has it all. Romance drama sex love hate and so so much more. Sometimes I wished I would have stopped in the very beginning because it is so sad but I would not change one thing in this book. I want to share this book with others. I wish they would make a movie. A Hallmark movie would be perfect because this book was so beautiful to read but maybe a movie wouldn't do it justice

Pepper Winters states this is not a romance but rather a story about life. The life of Ren Wild and those he loved and who loved him. It evokes passion, pain and most of all a truly unique story of a love that transcends our preconceived ideas of what love is or should be. It is a journey of love that you will not regret taking, a journey that may just teach you about unconditional love and how lucky you are if you have someone in your life that loves you unconditionally. I am an avid reader and have rarely met two characters who were so hard to let go of after the final page. They are now indelibly marked in my psyche, my heart and my soul, coloring the way I will choose to love forever and always. Thank you, Pepper Winters for Ren & Della and for sharing their raw and beautiful “life/love” story with us all.

This book surpassed my expectations, and gave a fitting and appropriate ending to Ren and Della. I feel as though their story is a true one; I am forever changed by this duet, by how it was written, and what, actually, constitutes a romance. This is a beautiful, wrenching, sob-inducing, heartwarming tale of two people who were meant to be together.

I really enjoyed Ribbon and was interested to continue their story, but I thought book two was neither as well written or as engaging as the first book. I also found the author 's writing style of stringing out sentences was starting to grate on me.

The Girl and her Ren, absolutely destroysed me in the best and worst ways possible! I spent the majority of the book trying to focus and read through nonstop waterworks, and it must be said I am not usually a crier. Although I am not a fan of the ending, I can see how as much as I am resisting, it’s poetic beauty does speak volumes with Ren and Della.

This story is everything...it's the movie you watch a 1000 times....the song you play on repeat until you know every word...that comfy sweater you wear until it starts to unravel...it's that last piece of chocolate you hid beside the bed...this is the story ...these are the words...the story that will shatter your heart and the words that will stitch it imperfectly back together.

I have read every book Pepper Winters has written and love each one. I am not even through this book and have been balling my eyes out since you know when. I don't want to spoil it for anyone. But I never write reviews. I am 94% in the book right now I can't see because I keep crying. This book has so much raw love and emotion. I have read a lot of romance books. Dark, light, exotic... you name it. I read over 110 in one year. My guilty pleasure. It was my time at night when everyone goes to bed. But I love this author. Each book is different and exciting. This book in particular is heart wrenching. I have had to put it down because I just can't finish it. You have to read it.

I have to apologize from the start , because there are no words worthy of this story. I just want to say , please read this book !! It will be emotional , devastating and your heart will be all over the place. But you will be forever grateful that you did . I love Ren and Dellas story and it will stay with me for a very long time ❤️

This book was amazing,... i was too happy, to filled with joy, pain, suffering, crying, smiling and contentment.... just too much..... i am a HEA kind of person... but i would make an exception to be able to read this for the first time all over again.... the heartach the love, the sadness, the pure joy.....simply WONDERFUL.

A heart, gut wrenching love story. Yet, I enjoyed the love between two unlikely to fall head over heels. So much happiness and beautiful moments amongst a family. I read and read and read till the end. I could not but my kindle down. When you think it is over boom! The author gives us an epic plot. A must read!!!

Ren’s and Bella’s story is one of unconditional love and sacrifice. It pushes boundaries as true love always does. It is a tale of the love of fairy tales. Yet, it is also a tale of a realistic and heart wrenching love. There are times when you can’t continue to read and times when you cannot stop reading. It’s that kind of read— gut wrenching and awe inspiring. In the end, the reader is enthralled with their journey, not their destination. In the end, it’s a journey I would knowingly take again. It’s worth every sigh and tear! Every girl should have a Ren and every man his Della.

Pepper Winters! I don't review books to give the story away, as if I needed more than the general synopsis of a story. What I need to know from people that read the same authors and genre is... Was it a good story? Did you stay up all night because you could not put the book down? Worth the $$ money you spent and would you read it again and again. My answer to these questions are YES!! 100 x s yes! Beautiful story. Enough said.

Such a fantastic love story. I can't remember ever crying so much when reading a book. Towards the end I could only read a page or two at a time because of the intense emotions that kept overwhelming me. What an amazing author. I've read all of Pepper Winter's books and the story of Ren and Della is my hands down favorite. Highly recommended

Incredible and heart wrenching. I would expect nothing less from this author. This story is a conitnuation of a Boy and His Ribbon. You must read that first. Beautiful story, a love story that will leave you in tears. I sobbed. Just a brilliant piece of work that I would recommend to anyone.

If you could see my face you would see a face you see after spending the last hours sobbing your eyes out- crazy hair, tear stained puffy cheeks, red nose, runny nose, blood shot tear stained/rimed eyes! The Boy and His Ribbon and The Girl and Her Ren=A Heart wrenching, sole shattering, heart breaking, beautifully written story! My emotions are at an all time high right now, I feel as if I’m in mourning, well I kind of am, this story wrapped me up and took me on a journey I’ll never forget! WOW! I didn’t think Pepper Winters could write something better! I love all her stories and this duet is incredible! It’s one of those stories you can’t wait to share because it stays with you. Ren and his Ribbon sets the perfect stage for The Girl and her Ren. Emotional roller coaster of love!

I’ve experienced many things in my life, and this goes way beyond just reading and books. And I know there’s more yet to see and live through. With all that said this story has left a lasting mark on me. Pepper was able to reach through time and space and matter to be able to convey the emotions that flood throughout this story. I’m so thankful for Ren and Della and of course Pepper for being able to go on this life journey with them. And even though my heart is still unbelievably sore, I’m so glad that I took a chance on this story and stuck with it. Because now there’s no way it could ever not be a permanent part of me.

This was such a beautiful and captivating story. I absolutely loved both books in the series but this one I had to give four stars instead of five. Not because of the writing because that was superb! The author will know why and so will you if you read it. I loved it and hated it but mostly loved it.

I have read nearly everything from Pepper Winters. Unseen Messages is my top book of all time but this series is definitely a favorite! This story is one that reaches into your soul and reminds you what it’s like to be a compassionate human. It lets you have those really hard, good cry’s feeling someone else’s pain and letting you reevaluate what you’re grateful for in your life. I love that Pepper writes straight from the characters heart and doesn’t let society ideals scare her from hitting publish. Thank you for letting me share in Ren and Ribbons world!

This book was beautiful and utterly heartbreaking! So different from other books in the romance genre. It’s not really romance as much as a book about love. All the different ways we love. It’s also about loss and everything in between. So if you like books that make you feel- grab a box of tissues and read!

Dang, Pepper Winters can write amazing books. This is bk2 & conclusion to Ribbon series. I don’t want to give away anything - as this bk was just as wonderful as the 1st... you finally get some answers to Ren & his background... such a touching love story..

haven't anticipated a book in quite awhile. it was worth the wait. this story is so-o-o good.
it is very well written. there were sections where I could hardly read, I cried so much, and yet I couldn't stop.
I read it in one sitting.

But I have one hard and fast rule...always HEA. If I had known how their story ended before I read it, it would have been a hard pass for me —- even though it was by my favorite author. But you know what? I’m glad I didn’t because this story made me feel things I didn’t know it was possible to feel about fictional characters. I am forever changed, and a little scarred. Do yourself a favor and read this duet. These kinds of stories are exceptionally rare!

Amazing read! The first book was selfless with so much heart and kept you feeling for more. It's life at its worriest but still filled with so much love all wrap in its self. The second book was a roller coaster of emotions. It had me smiling & crying threw it all. I love both books and very much enjoyed the love between Ren and Della. The way emotion was turned into word and expressed was perfect! I would definitely suggest you read both books. It will make you see life in a different light as well as love! Thumbs up!

Amazing storytelling ability . I enjoyed every page.
I'm not used to having my heart ripped out. I love HEA, and this was a smack in the face. I never cried so much while reading a book in my life. I was seriously heaving

This book was just incredible. The descriptions of how the two characters felt about each other and the journey they took through their lives were so vivid that I felt like I was experiencing the story myself. I cried so much at the end but it was a satisfying cry.
