Desertion (A Knights Rebels MC Book 3)

This author doesn't disappoint and keeps giving me everything I've come to look forward to in her books: alpha guy with some sweet heart underneath, good banter and chemistry between the characters, an underlying story that waits to unfold in the background, and those steamy scenes that are hot hot hot. Can't wait to read about Beau in the next installment.

When two people come together and one of those two is a lost and broken soul and the other person is so sweet let's just say that Jesse and Belle had me laughing and crying and cussing and I loved every minute of it. If I could give more than five stars I would. Highly recommend and can't wait to read more from this author.

Love this series! It seems to get better with each book! The relationship between Jesse and Belle was filled with drama...angst and love! It was told so beautifully that the roller coaster ride was worth every single penny! I truly love how we get to see all of the characters again and how they play a major role in the story. I cannot wait for the next book.,,,very excited!

Desertion by River Savage is the third book in the Knights Rebels MC series and let me tell you, these books get sexier each time. If you haven't started this series yet...what are you waiting for?? I'm sure you could read about the yummy Jesse Carter before reading Nix and Sy's stories, but why on earth would you want too??

Jesse Carter has been an important part of all of the Knights Rebels books so far. He is funny, sexy and really cares about the people he considers his family. So who knew Jesse is the one battling with probably the worst demons of all? Demons he won't share with anyone. Demons that push him away from the woman he's falling for without even knowing it.

Nurse Bell, you might remember her from several of the Knights Rebels trips to the emergency room in past books. Jessie has made it very clear he wouldn't mind getting naughty with Bell Johnson. But as ridiculously attractive as Jesse is, Bell has made it her business to keep her distance and brushes Jesse and his naughty comments off, until, well she can't.

Bell Johnson, as much as she wants to avoid Jesse, thinks he and the Knights Rebels may be able to help find her sister who's been missing for seven years. Of course Jesse agrees to help and sees this as a way to spend time with Bell. He kind of tries to scam a date with her in order to help her find Paige and here's the thing Jesse doesn't date. He's a one and done kind of guy. That is until Bell comes along.

The attraction between Jesse and Bell is completely intense. It's not only physical though. They genuinely enjoy each other. They're comfortable with each other and they see the parts of each other that are broken. Here's the thing...Bell is willing to fix herself. Jesse doesn't believe he can or deserves to be fixed.

Try as they might to not have those feelings for each other of course they do. Their first time together, on Jesse's bike is smokin' hot. And if you love dirty talkers, Jesse's mouth is filthy perfection.

Everything about Jesse Carter is sexy and he knows it. He's absolutely gorgeous with his blonde hair and blue eyes. But what really does it for me is his body. He's so fit and those abs are ridiculous. Who am I trying to kid? EVERYTHING about Jesse Carter is beyond sexy.

Of course Desertion is mostly Bell and Jesse's story, but I love that River Savage brings all the Knights Rebels characters into the picture. The women of the Knights Rebels take Bell under their wing right away and are all about her being with Jesse. Sy and Holly are preparing for their wedding and of course Jesse and Bell are invited. Then there's Nix and Kadence who are just getting back to normal after having baby Low.

The Knights Rebels are definitely badass bikers, but they're also good men and they love their women like crazy. I think when he realizes this Jesse freaks out a little and he pushes Bell away big time.

So, we have Bell and Jesse battling pretty big demons. Jesse who always seems so happy go lucky is about to throw away a shot at happiness because he doesn't feel like he deserves it. Bell realizes she hasn't really been living all these years because she's been so wrapped up in her sister's disappearance.

Can Jesse sort his issues out? Will the Knights Rebels be able to help Bell find her sister? Will Bell let Jesse back into her life?

The Knights Rebels are my absolute favorite MC series. I love each one of these sexy bikers and am always looking forward to the next book. Beau's story is up next and I can't wait to see what River Savage has in store for him.

I also love that even though they are rough around the edges bikers, they are also funny and always have each others backs.

A four lip smack review for Desertion and Jesse Carter. He is definitely a swoon worthy book boyfriend and Bell is a lucky, lucky girl. Read it and you'll understand why.

River Savage once again delivers a stand out novel with gritty, real and passionate characters.

Jesse a badass, playboy biker and naive Nurse Bell come together in a stormy but endearing story that takes the reader on a rollar coaster of emotions from laughing out loud to crying like a baby!

I love all the Knights Rebels stories as they dare to touch real life issue to help us understand this is not just a book but a story with life.
Jesse story really touch me as I felt I understand what his demons are, not that I went through something as bad as he did but I do know what it is like to hide behind a mask.
I believe this series is a must read.

River Savage is a great storyteller. Her books rock. This story is about a man, Jesse who is wounded in spirit by guilt and anger. Bell helps him overcome his weaknesses. Their story has a rocky road, but has a happy ending. I loved how the author brings in characters from other books. Reading her books is like meeting an old friend, You don't want the visit to end.

I can't believe I have to wait until Octiber!!!,!,!, I'm totally kicking myself for reading this all in one night bc It's going to be a long three I this before the ne t book comes out! I absolutely LOVE this series and can't get enough! One of the few series I have ever read where I like both the male and female lead! What an amazing author! MUST READ!

Another winner from river!!! This book dealt with tough situations however it was an incredible story. River has a way with characters and I really figured that out while reading affliction and that talent has been carried over to desertion. You will not be disappointed with this book! I recommend This series whenever I am asked about a great book to read....

Another great book in Knight's Rebels series. Jesse and Bell each have issues to work through. Jesse has PTSD and Bell and her family are dealing with the disappearance of her sister. Together they help each other heal. Their story is beautifully written. Beau's story is next but I really can't wait for the S.W.A.T. story and hoping it's Paige's story.

The Knights Rebels series just continues with great reads! Desertion is the story of Bell and Jesse, who have an instant attraction. The book provides a solid development of their relationship, has great side characters, a not entirely believable drama, and ultimately a well deserved happy ending. The amount of inner dialogue is a bit redundant and distracting, but overall a great Alpha biker book. As a personal side note, I thought the veteran PTSD issues and highlighting of what returning soldiers face (over years) added a level of depth and reality to the story.

Jesse and Bell's story is an emotional, steamy, true love story. A roller coaster ride you'll never want to stop. Dirty talking Jesse will keep you wanting more, but his darkside will shock you. He hides his emotions well. Bell is stronger than she thinks. This Knights Rebels MC book is one of the best so far!!! I can not wait for more.

I'm hooked on this series! The fun loving, annoying, sweet talking player finally meets his match. But will he be able to overcome his issues in order to keep Bell? I enjoyed this story immensely and the main reason is because it deals with deep emotional issues from the man's perspective. Great story, can't wait to see what's next!

My Review of Desertion

I was excited to read the story about Jesse and Bell since I first met them in Incandescent. Jesse is a "bad boy" MC biker who was a firefighter and a marine. One reason he sleeps with many women is to shut out the pain he suffers from the demons of his past. Bell is a shy, innocent nurse who is afraid to stand up for her own happiness.

As I read this book, I was forced to feel the hurt Jesse suffers and understand why he hides it from his family, both MC and personal. They fall in love and it is Jesse's love for Bell that gives her the strength to want her own happiness. And Bell's love made Jesse want to be a better man. They go through some rough patches, at one point I thought it was over. This book is an emotional roller coaster, I couldn't put it down till I finished it. But they didn't give up and realized that their love will heal their brokenness.

I also am guilty of falling in love with Jesse. I loved his wanting to forgive himself , his bravery and even his lame pick- up lines. River Savage has written her best book so far, and I highly recommend it to anyone who believes in the healing power of love. I give it 5 stars ( it deserves 10)

Jesse. First of all, YUM-O! Second, an emotional read, which I didn't expect. Third, River Savage is AWESOME! Fourth, I want more of my #NixFix and my #SyHigh AND now my #JesseJunkie. Yes, already lol <3 The ONLY thing I'm going to complain about is River needs to write Epilogues. Longggggg drawn out, detailed epilogues :)

Desertion is a fantastic addition to the Knights Rebel MC series! Jesse & Bell's story has lots of pain and heartache but they always find a way to survive. To say this was a hot read is definitely a huge understatement. If u want to read one of the best books of the year then u will want to read Desertion. This is by far the best MC series I've ever read!

As a male reading this book love the badass scenes and the twists. A good way to pay tribute to our soldiers and how they have a bond like no other. Detail is great just love it. Gives me great ideas for the bedroom lmao wife loves it tho. (She ain't complaining) lets me play alpha male even tho my "old lady" carries my balls

Jesse's story is heart wrenching but gives insight to him and the way he is. Jesse and Belle's relationship was filled with drama, love and angst. River knows how to tackle the hard topics and do it well. This series keeps getting better and better. This book is a must read.
River you have done it again.

River Savage has done it again!! The emotion, the depth and the connection surpass everything a couple can endure but overcome!! Jessie is so freakin HOT and when he wants what he wants you better watch out!!! Fan me now!! Get the tissues and the after cigarette ready!!

I adore the way River writes and her Knights Rebels men are amazing! Bell and Jesse come a long way to be together. Watching them grow and become better people is amazing to watch. Ready for the next book. I hope we get to meet Bell's sister....... I really would like to hear her story.

The depth and emotion this author can convey with her written words is almost heartbreaking. You need to start with Incandescence to see the full picture of growth that River has gone through.
The way that she deals with personal issues and makes them relatable to everyone.

Dare I say this is my favorite Knights Rebels book yet?! I knew I was going to love Jesse (he was already my favorite), but he had to prove it with his story, and that he did!

River Savage amazes me with her depth and insight in to some very sensitive topics. Mrs. Savage brings important issues into the limelight, and does a wonderful job of portraying these real, difficult emotions. It takes a special author to have the guts and talent to tackle topics ranging from PTSD (Desertion) to Post-Partum Depression (Reclaimed). Even more amazing, is the fact that she does it in a way where it's extremely realistic but still gives the reader hope. All the while making you swoon for some hot, alpha bikers. I can't wait for her next release!

River creates amazing characters and a flowing story. Her characters are all fighting to over come something and you can't help but to root for them. This story was no different. I loved Jesse! He was charming, funny, and you can't not love him. Belle is so sweet and kind, and exactly what Jesse needs. This is a must read!

Great Story. This whole series has been a really great read. River Savage is a great writer, developes characters that make you fall in love with them. River always keeps you wanting more and when you get to the end, you wish the next book was already out.

I absolutely loved this book. Author River Savage has done it again giving this reader an emotional rollercoaster ride. The story made me cry and laugh, but throughout the read it made me feel love. I am already waiting impatiently for the next in this series.

A really good story and series. Very well written with twists and turns that make it hard to put down. Loveable characters and hot scenes. I bought the first one and bought the entire series half way through they were all so good.

What can I say about THE AMAZING RIVER SAVAGE, everytime I read her work she shatters my heart and just when I think all is lost... she picks up the pieces and puts it back together. Desertion is more than just an amazing reading experience it is truly a blessing. Thank you River for this beautiful story I cannot say anything else except WOW!

Amazing book! River is an amazing author and I love everything that she writes!!I bought this book and I do no regret it at all!! I loved Jesse and bell together and I cannot wait until the next installment!!!

Jesse's story was heart wrenching and hit home. Forgiveness is hard to dish out when you have been hurt. Ultimately, you have to find peace within yourself and find what makes you happy. I am glad Jesse found happiness with Belle!
