It breaks down weight from a scientific perspective. It's all common sense, but I guess its good to get back to the basics. It promotes slow weight loss, and talks about the negative effects of rapid weight loss and weight loss fads. I was hoping for more tips and secrets, like recipes, what to avoid eating (even though thats kind of common sense) and stuff like that.

I purchased "Lose Weight Fast" to see if this book had any secrets I hadn't heard of before... it does not. It states all the same things most of us have heard before. It was an informative book but nothing we haven't heard before.

This book is great!! It gave excellent tips! Things that i would not have thought of. I received the book free in exchange for a review but i definitely would have paid the regular cost for it. Lately i have been reading a lot of weight loss books but i learned a lot more from than one than the others. This book is detailed. It builds confidence. It help to make everyone have the mindset that we can all lose weight. It has a great positive outlook. Great book!

I really enjoyed how this book covers all the aspects for losing weight. It went over tips, myths, approaches, etc. It wasn't focused on one particular way to diet like most diet books are, but rather gave an open approach with tips for the best overall ways and attitudes/thoughts to carry you forward in your weight loss journey.

This is very informative. And this isn't for those only over 50. Gives you plenty of information for those who are younger as well. My spouse is in their 40's and got some great suggestions. A great read for anyone over 30 who wants to get healthy

This is an excellent book. I found it really easy to read. The book looked at how to lose weight in a safe and holistic way and included over 50 weight lost tips from nutrition to self worth. I particularly found the chapters on how to change my eating habits and how to stop food cravings most helpful as these are areas I struggle with when I decide to go on any weight loss journey. I feel more empowered in my weight loss journey, because this book has given me insight into areas I never thought critical to successful weigh loss. I would recommend this book to anyone who has decided to take on the challenge of losing a few pounds whether it be for your health or just to feel better about yourself. This book provides insight into losing weight, that is one part of this book that I kind of like but I am looking for real strategy or techniques which unfortunately not found here. This book only talks about normal thing like having a clear mindset, just a bunch of advice but no sense of direction on how to really pump up and get it done physically.

Has a lot of good information, some things I have heard from others multiple times, as any other weight loss product, the only way to lose weight the healthy way is exercise and eating right, so not a whole lot different there. It's good to finally have clear-cut guidelines to losing weight! It's such a relief to find out some of the things other people keep telling you about losing weight isn't true. I prefer this book to the others I've read; most of them are a long read and require you to have an intense daily workout first before their regimen will even work. Dr. Shenoy actually talks about exercise as an afterthought, and focuses on building good eating habits, and a positive mindset first before anything else. This book has helped reinforce my attention toward the habits that will actually help me live a healthier lifestyle. I'd definitely recommend this to friends and family. It was definitely more than what I expected from such a skinny book!

I've never found a more elaborate and detailed book about losing weight such as this. This book taught me a lot of things about diet such as the do's and don'ts and what we normally take for granted when on a diet. It's like the author knows what people are thinking or feeling when on a diet. It also feels like I have a diet instructor with me after I've read the book. It helps me to think positively when on a diet. Everyone knows it's hard but with the right attitude and this book, it's going to be easy losing those extra weight. I strongly recommend this book not just for people who are on a diet but for everyone. We all need to have a healthy lifestyle to enjoy life.

I liked the motivational side of this, but for those that have common sense, it's just that spelled out completely. There were some good tips like journaling and the ex's on the calendar...overall it could have been summarized in a one page article.

This Kindle book has good tips and information on weight-loss. I don't like the title of the book because it makes it seem like weight loss is "fast" and easy, but it can be a constant struggle for many people. Ignore the title and enjoy the book for the valuable information and tips.
