You've done it again, Nicole.... You've given us the reason why the boys are as fabulous as theory are. Thank you for sharing this incredible family with us. Curtis and Lorrie's love story is crazy. Every woman should be loved like Curtis love Lorri.

I love the way Nicole writes. She makes you feel you are right there with each character. The love story of Curtis and Lorrie was warm and inspiring. I love the way Curtis showed Lorrie how to make love Then to read how Lorrie was determined to show Curtis her naughty side. The Walker boys are always entertaining.

When Nicole Edwards releases a book I buy it without question. She has never disappointed me yet. I was excited for this book because I've read all her previous books and I wondered if Curtis passed down some of the Naughty thing his sons enjoy doing.

I’ve often wondered what shaped the Walker boys from the Alluring Indulgence series into the men that I have come to absolutely adore, now having read Curtis, I don’t think I could have possibly expected them to turn out any other way, they learnt at the knee of a master romantic and the world is a better place for it.
This man’s capacity to love knows no bounds, and neither does their mother Lorrie, but getting to read the emotion behind their love story and I make no bones about it, theirs’ is the consummate love story!
It doesn’t get much more powerful than what they have been through since Lorrie was a mere slip of a girl at just 14 years old.
I loved the path that we got to travel with not only Curtis and Lorrie but their boys as the story flitted back and forth between the path of the past and the events that they were being engulfed by in the present.
I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to the Walkers when I closed the book on the last of the boys, but I never thought I would enjoy the story of their parents as much as I did, the author didn’t hold back, she brought so much details to the story, so much emotion and boy, these old timers could certainly put a flush on the cheeks of any of their boys with their sexy exploits.
Curtis truly worshipped his wife, she was the absolute light in his life and the possibility of being without her was a pin that he wasn’t prepared to cope with, neither were his sons. But this woman was made of tough stuff and with everything they had been through, I had my heart in my mouth that their time together wasn’t about to come to an end.
I shed a tear on more than one occasion as I made my way through the decades, through the trials and tribulations that they endured and through both the joy and sadness that life had given them.
I don’t know how Nicole Edwards does it but she is able to give me characters that I cannot help but fall in love with, I feel owed by the time I have finished one of her books.
And on this occasion, I finished the book, happy knowing that Coyote Ridge has so much more to give…Yippee!!!!

I absolutely love the Walker family, and the love story of Curtis and Lorrie was everything I hoped for. Love, laughter, tears, heartbreak, and steam - this book packs it all into the pages as we live 50+ years of history with them.

Normally I would write a long-ish review with all kinds of details on the feels, but that opening paragraph completely sums up this book for me. As we experience Curtis and Lorrie's relationship from their teen years forward, it is easy to see where their boys eventually get their personalities and sometimes mischievous sides. Although the early years of their marriage weren't easy, they formed a deep bond that stood the test of time. When the going got tough, I knew it would be OK in the end but my heart still broke for them anyway as events that were alluded to or briefly mentioned in the AI series played out in detail on the pages of this book. There was no shortage of intimate moments between them whether it was a sweet exchange, a tender kiss, a quiet conversation, a sexy letter or a smokin hot sex scene. And there were plenty of those smokin moments as you would expect from one of Nicole's books!

As the book opens, the prologue is set in the present day, and Curtis is at Lorrie's side as she faces a scary medical moment. He is clearly shaken, and as the first chapter goes back to the beginning of their lives together filling in the blanks with those moments I just mentioned, you have a complete understanding of their bond by the time the story comes full circle to resolve the present issue facing them. All of the Walker boys and their significant others are by their sides, and there were some funny moments as Zoey revealed tidbits from the journals Lorrie kept from the day she met Curtis until now (with Lorrie's permission of course).

You can easily read Curtis without having read the AI series- but if you haven't, you are missing out on a wonderful set of stories so get on that!! Fans of all Nicole's series will be happy to see a hint of an upcoming book featuring Jared Walker and a familiar face from the Dead Heat Ranch series too ;-) In the meantime, set aside a few hours to fall in love with the clan matriarch and patriarch.

This may be my favourite Nicole Edwards book yet ........I feel so guilty for saying that because I feel like I'm cheating on all her other work which is also outstanding!!

Oh my goodness where to begin with expressing my feelings about this story? There's only really one word to describe this book and that's EPIC !
As I read the Walker brothers series I had this niggling hope that Nicole would pen a story about the parents of the family. I had so many questions and theories running through my mind about this couple and when I heard my prayers had been answered that Nicole was in fact releasing the story oh well the term excited doesn't cover how I felt. I have looked forward to reading it for so long (from about the release of Travis in my head I was wanting this book) and I was not disappointed one bit.

From the very start I was ensnared by the pages.
The budding relationship between the characters had me gripped and the romanticist in me fell head over heels into a perfect fairytale. Not only did the writing produce wonderment, heart skipping pure love and awe there's also plenty of giggles along the way, with also a splash of gut wrenching heartache too - a mix blended to perfection.
As the story begins in the 1960's there's an air of history and nostalgia weaved throughout that you feel like you've actually been transported back to that time, this is due to the amazing scene descriptions that Nicole delivers.

Without giving spoilers (which I never do in reviews) there's only one thing to say - GO CLICK THIS BOOK !
Believe me you won't be disappointed and as for a rating ..... He'll even 50 stars wouldn't be enough!!!
Thank you Nicole for sharing this story, you made this readers dream come true.

This is actually the first Nicole Edwards book I've read, but I am a fan as I have listened to the audio version of her "Club Destiny", and "Alluring Indulgence" series. Though not necessary to read either series beforehand, it's nice to have "Alluring Indulgence" under your belt as it is about the seven boys as adults that Lorrie and Curtis raised. Those boys are really a chip off the ol' block.

"Curtis" is where their love story begins. The book opens up, current day...and then moves into diary entries starting in 1962 when Curtis first meets Lorrie. Diary entries are scattered throughout the book and many chapters start out with an entry, where the rest of the chapter is the day's events that lead up to that entry.

This book had all emotions...I laughed, I cried, it was sentimental...well, at least it was for me because it reminded me of my own in-laws near 60 year marriage.

This is a story about the love of your life, a love you dream of....Curtis & Lorrie complete each other, they are not completely whole without the other. Curtis can be headstrong and stubborn, while Lorrie is strong in spirit, and feisty - they make a great combo, there isn't anything Curtis wouldn't do for Lorrie, and vice versa. Curtis is the kind of man that always puts Lorrie first, and as a couple - it's all about family.

If you've not read a Nicole Edwards book, don't be afraid to pick this up whether you've read "Alluring Indulgence" or not - but know that her books are descriptively steamy, hot, and sexy. I've enjoyed this book so much I may have to go back and start collecting the books I've listened to, as I've been known to read a book more than once. Also, because some characters get introduced in one series, and then become a bigger character in a different series - so, for me, I'd like to be able to go back and reference some of the origins of a character.

The first book in new series Coyote Ridge, Curtis tells the love story of over fifty years of the parents of the famous Walker brothers. I was a bit apprehensive of how this was going to be and would it be like reading about your parent’s sex life haha as being a big fan of the Walkers Brothers series, Curtis and Lorrie have become kind of like my fictional parents. Let me just say this book was fabulous and amazing and no there was no cringing behind my kindle!

I always knew that Curtis and Lorrie were special people, after all how could they produce such wonderful men with all the special qualities they hold? They have always told their boys to hold out for that one special person meant only for them, their soul mate which Curtis and Lorrie are. Their love started from a very young 14 and 17 years old to one that is everlasting.

The story takes us through the years, from the first meeting with a young feisty Lorrie standing up to the tall lanky but handsome Curtis, to the present day. The decades through the sixties, seventies, eighties and so on were an emotional ride that saw the pair suffer lows of extreme pain and loss to the ultimate highs of love and family. There was also a lot of super steamy hot love between this sexy pair, no wonder they went on to have seven lusty boys!

I have always loved Curtis and Lorrie and to see how they evolved over the years was a great insight. From the beautiful feisty young girl who grows into the beautiful resolute Lorrie and the lanky handsome boy who grows into the strong protective gorgeous but sensitive Curtis.

A truly emotive and outstanding read of love, loss, passion and ultimate devotion. This is one not to miss out on and another amazing read from Nicole Edwards. Five stars plus.

Its no secret that Nicole Edwards is my number one author ever and the Alluring Indulgence series starring the Walker Brothers of Coyote Ridge, TX is my favorite series of all time. When I found out she was writing an erotic novel about their parents and how they got together I was a little... apprehensive. Dont get me wrong, Nicole can write erotica like no one else but was this going to be about two old people having sex? Or was I going to read the entire book picturing two teenagers at the sock hop listening to Elvis and drinking 5 cent sodas? Or worse yet... God forbid.. MY PARENTS?? OK, ok, surely not.. But in the AI series Curtis and Lorrie are pushing 70 years old. Finally, just trusting my 'Nicole Edwards has never failed me' instinct I turned off my overactive imagination and just dove in head first. This turned out to be a very good idea.
Curtis the story is broken into three parts. I love that it is not told in "flashbacks" as many of these stories are today. But it is literally a book that covers an entire 50 year span. The young Curtis I immediately fell in love with. Immediately. As I did with every one of his sons. There's just something about those Walker men.
Part two was hard for me in places. All I will say is tears, man.
Part three is present day and Curtis is every bit as lovable as he was in the very beginning. I guess when he is 1000 years old his love for Lorrie will be as strong as it was when it first began. It is beautiful.
From the characters to the storyline to the overall feels that I got when I read the book in just 3 sittings.. there is nothing about Curtis that is not an absolute 5 star read.
Nicole Edwards has done it again. :)

You thought you knew all about the Walker family but did you know Curtis and Lorrie’s love story? We travel back to 1962 when Lori is sent over to Curtis’ house by her daddy. That fateful event leads to the present day Walkers but we also have the marriage, Vietnam War and starting a family that we would never had guessed what went on behind the scenes. Most of this is seen through Lorrie’s journals as we take a trip down memory lane and see the love and sorrow experienced by the Walkers.

“I’ve always believed for every person there was only one love that would last a lifetime. I never understood quite what it meant until I met you, though. You’re it for me, Lorrie. You are my love that lasts a lifetime.”

I don’t know what I was expecting when I started reading Curtis and Lorrie’s story. I thought perhaps it would be reminiscing about what life was like when my parents were young and in love. I didn’t expect all of the heartache. I didn’t expect the manipulation. I didn’t expect the years they waited. But I did expect a love of a lifetime and my heart was so touched by how committed Curtis is to Lorrie to take care of her and protect her. These Walker men got their devotion to their partners from their daddy and it was so apparent in this story. Well, that and the dirty talking. Daddy is a big ol’ dirty talker.

If you’ve read the Alluring Indulgence series, this story was a very sentimental tie in. I enjoyed reading about the Walker family’s beginnings and hope we get Jared’s story next. I want to know about every single Walker relative, their neighbor, their friends that live in Embers Ridge, etc…just keep these babies coming.

Curtis is was a nostalgic, romantic trip back in time before the Walker boys came to be. Just a boy himself, Curtis Walker has always been a pinnacle of strength and the patriarch of the infamous Walker clan. I have read all the stories of the children, but this one was unique and very special. I’ll admit when I first started reading Curtis, I was a little skeptical because of the period in which the story was set. I can honestly say that I have never read a book set during that time, but I will be the first to say that it didn't take me long to get sucked into the beautiful love story of Curtis and Lorrie.

Youth, loss, betrayal, the love between the Walker parents withstood so many obstacles, yet the heartache that these two wonderful people went through is a true testament to what love and marriage is all about. Their story was so splendidly written that Nicole takes you back to a time of change, a time of innocence, and a time where life was that simple, or so you think. Who knew that Daddy Walker was such an alpha though? Some scenes so hot and heavy that I was completely lost to the fact that this is the same man that I have read about in other books.

If you’ve ever truly been in love, then you will absolutely understand the dynamic between Curtis and Lorrie. This is one that will leave you with that warm feeling that makes you smile on your face and love in your heart. It will remind you why we all fell in love with Nicole Edwards and these wonderful characters to begin with.

“You are my love that lasts a lifetime.”

Y’all… This book tho… It’s so much a steamy Nicole Edwards book, but it’s so much more.

The feels. Guys, the feels. It was hard for me to read this book, yet I couldn’t put it down. It one thing to read about the struggles a couple goes through in order to get to that marriage point. In honesty, that’s mostly the type of stories I read. To read a book where the struggles come after the wedding… a whole different kind of feels. Being a married woman, to imagine going through the things Lorrie went through… My heart broke for her so many times. Broke. For. Her. We already knew she was a strong woman to have dealt with the 7 rowdy Walker brothers she gave birth to, but this book gave me left me in awe of her.

Curtis was the devoted, charming, sexy man we already knew him to be. I wanted to hate him at times because my heart hurt so much for Lorrie, but I knew deep inside my hurting heart, he only had her best interests in mind when he made the decisions he made. He couldn’t be more adoring, more perfect. This story couldn’t have been more perfect.

I can’t wait for all Nicole Edwards fans to read this book. It is a MUST READ! I’ve never had one of her books touch me the way Curtis did. Curtis was heartfelt and endearing, but still full of the heat and passion we expect from this author. I can’t recommend this book enough.

**I received a complementary copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.**

Curious at what is the love and passion behind the Walker men? How it all started? What makes these amazing men the men that they are? Meet Curtis and Lorrie Walker, this is their story and it will give you the glimpse of why you love those Walker men so dam much.
Talk about loving with your whole heart. That is what Curtis does for Lorrie and Lorrie for Curtis. Falling in love young and marrying at an age that you would never have imagined they will make you a believer in what true love can and will overcome.
The pain of separation the pain of loss they survive and endure even stronger than before. Then the joy of reunion and of growing together... Speechless.
Curtis tough strapping and faithful to a fault your gonna wish these Walker men were real and that you belonged to one of them, they learned it all from their dad... CURTIS.
I am a HUGE fan of Nicole's books often wondering if I could fall into the rabbit whole and live one of their stories (yeah just like Alice) and this book? This book did not disappoint! She just keeps giving me more of what I want before I even know what I want. Heat passion and love, never yielding, never ending love. That is what you can expect from a Nicole Edwards book and exactly what you will get in this book Curtis & Lorrie and Epic romance that stand the test of time.

This, just this!! A perfect read and a beautiful romance that lasts the tests of time. Beautifully crafted, with characters that you will completely fall in love with.

A story of the ages that is a story of its time. Lorrie and Curtis are from different sides of the tracks but when Lorrie is used as part of her father's plan, little did they realise that they were meant to be together for a lifetime. Teenage marriage, family and greed all play a part in a very poignant journey for Lorrie and Curtis. Lorrie's inexperience and youth makes their coming together all the sweeter but what is even sweeter is Curtis' desire for Lorrie to experience life before taking the next steps in their relationship. Lorrie and Curtis are phenomenal characters that you will run the gauntlet of emotions with. Whilst their commitment to each other warms the heart, there is also plenty of heat as they are not shy in the bedroom or out of it.

This deserves more than the maximum five stars for the incredible journey it took me on and the gauntlet of emotions I ran while reading it. A love that lasts a lifetime - who doesn't want that? This, just this!

Having already fallen in love with all the Walker sons it was interesting to go back to the beginning and see where it all started. Let’s just say that those boys came by their raunchiness and loyalty honestly! The road that Lori and Curtis had to travel was full of bumps and bruises, but the end result was so worth it. My breath was stuck in my throat and I was in tears by the time it was over. You look at their life from the outside, see their 7 wonderful sons, and think everything was easy. Well, that’s so far from the truth…

I really enjoyed their innocence in the beginning. Being 15 and 17, it made their relationship more believable, even though it was the 60’s and a different era than now. I appreciated that even though they married really young, they were allowed the time to grow into really loving each other. That being said, I’m still pissed at Curtis for how he went about that. I get he had good intentions but it darn near broke my heart.

I loved growing up with these two characters and it makes me want to go back and read the Walker boys all over again! Phenomenal start to a new series!

I haven't read any of the previous stories featuring the Walker boys so I had never been introduced to Curtis and Lorrie. I have always loved when an author would offer backstories on the parents of a popular group. Normally though I would have already read the others. I am SO glad that I read this book. What an epic love story that will - in fact - last a lifetime.

We start off at the first meeting between Curtis and Lorrie and end 50+ years later. Nicole Edwards takes her readers by hand, with letters, diary entries and dialog to guide our path. So many emotions permeated this book. You literally feel every single one of them. Fear, loss, longing, love, pain, grief.

I don't think that there is one bad thing that I could say about this book. I was pulled in right from the first age to the last, and to be honest, by the ending I had chewed every single nail on my hand down to the quik.

This is my confession: If you haven't read the Alluring Indulgence Series featuring the 7 Walker boys...You will.

When you read this book, make sure you have your tissues close, you'll need them.

This is my second favorite book by Nicole Edwards, Ethan will forever by my favorite, although this comes to such a close second. I knew when I got this book it was gonna be a very emotional story, just as all the Walker books are, what I didn't expect was for Nicole to make me cry since the prologue all the way till the end.

I have always talked about how Nicole is such an amazing storyteller and in this one she overdid herself. This are characters that all of her fans have known for a while and for all of us to finally get the story of the head of this amazing family was like the frosting on the cake.

Knowing all the things Lorie and Curtis went through in there 50+ years of marriage was very insightful, and to still see they are going through so much and emerging victorious makes you wish you had that type of relationship they have. I am now telling all of you this is a story for everyone to have and read, I am already reading it for the second time. It is that good. I can't wait for the next Coyote Ridge book I know is gonna be a juicy one. I know I am gonna fall in love with yet another Walker man.

Curtis by Nicole Edwards
*ARC given for honest review*

Curtis and Lorrie finally got their story and what a story it was. From their first encounter to watching their grandchildren growing up. A love story that has survived the test of time over and over again. I don't want to give anything away about them. This book gave me all the feels I could imagine. I laughed at some parts, yelled at my tablet at another part, but mostly felt the love they had for each other. I wish their story could just continue forever. I love them! (Almost as much as Ethan and Beau) I will recommend this book to anyone and everyone I know. People needs to know what forever love looks like. I cannot wait for more books in this series. :-)

Up until this book, Ethan had been my favorite Walker, but OMG, Curtis could not be any better. Love of a lifetime, hot as Hades and quick with his "darlin's", he has stolen my heart. Since she was a young teen Lorrie has loved Curtis, and this book is about the trials, tribulations and seven rowdy boys that came later. Nicole Edwards has put together a great read and I couldn't put it down. If there was a downside, it was the Lorrie didn't put in her diaries more about Curtis's mom, since she was a big supporter, i.e. How she passed or visits to her, etc. But it's a sure fire winner! Loved every word and looking forward to Jared's story.

I spent the majority of the book wiping tears away - sometimes happy ones, sometimes sad ones. I think I experienced every emotion reliving Curtis and Lorrie's story. By the end of the book, I was screaming at my iPad (won't say why though). Nicole, you've written a perfect opening book for the Coyote Ridge series.
