Reckless (Pier 70 Book 1)

Nicole Edwards and her very first all MM series- what a dilemma. One of my favourite author taking me to a genre that I am not overtly comfortable being in. I know, I know get my head out my ass and get a grip this woman has written every conceivable pairing or combination that could possibly be contrived before and I have read each and every one but this seemed to be setting off on a different path – a solely MM series and that is a new one for me.
But should I have worried, should I have been concerned – not a chance – do I deserve a slap upside, well yep!
Reckless -Pier 70 centres around 4 guys who own and run a marina and in this it is – Cam Strickland who is first in line for the salubrious Ms Edwards treatment! The rest of the guys will just have to wait… by the way just in case you are wondering – the other guys are Roan Gregory, Dare Davis, and Teague Carter.
As I have said first up is Cam- and at the age of 32 he is the owner of Pier 70. Life is one almighty high for Cam, he lives life to the max and is a complete thrill seeker but he may play fast a loose when it comes to getting his kicks but the one think he doesn’t take lightly is relationships – and to that extent he is happy just to keep that aspect of his life on the back burner.
But when he meets the enigmatic Gannon Burgess on his corporate team building day there is just something that ignites between them that neither of them had expected.
They couldn’t be more different, but they had no idea what it was about each other that had lit the touch paper of lust but it most definitely was alight and the smoulder dial was about to be turned all the way from simmer to blistering!
Like any relationship, the early days are when there is the most risk, the time when walls have to be breached and defences dropped but when both parties have baggage it also is the time when things are more likely to be derailed.
But when this sexy tattooed bad ass and the geeky control freak put their minds to it, I had no doubt that they would find a way to make it work. But it was going to take a commitment that they both had to be happy with. Was that even possible?
I think if I had to describe their relationship I would have to say it was emotional. But that might be doing them an injustice, because the journey they were on was not an easy one by any stretch of the imagination, they had a lot to work around but they had to find a way to make it work because quitting was not an option.
Oh and dang, the physicality of their relationship was – volcanic! Neither of them was ready to give up their need to dominate and finding a way to make that work was enough to set have my screen smoking.
I’m hooked on Nicole Edwards work and yes that does mean this book – I loved Cam and Gannon but I also liked the fact that we got a sneaky peek into the lives of the other guys, the rest of the Pier 70 team.
I am genuinely looking forward to the rest of the series, to see where life takes the rest of team, to watch as they each get their chance of love.

Cam Strickland and Gannon Burgess are complete polar opposites. The only thing they have in common is that they both devote their entire lives to their work. Neither one of them have time for a relationship. Things changed for both the moment Gannon walked into Cam's office at the marina to schedule a boat outing for his employees.

The attraction between the two is evident. Both Gannon and Cam feel the immediate pull between the each other. These feelings are something new and they both don't know what to do with these feelings. The two of them get along quite well and enjoy each other's company. Things begin to change as the relationship progresses. Cam is struggling with fears that haunt him from his past.
He loved Cam. There was no doubt about that. He wanted to spend every waking moment with the man.
However, he had a feeling that loving Cam might possibly be the hardest thing he'd ever done. (Gannon - Reckless)

Will Cam's fears keep him from moving forward with Gannon? When Cam begins to push Gannon away, will Gannon push back? Will Cam open up to Gannon about his fears? Will Gannon allow Cam's fears to tear them apart?

Cam is big on trust. He pushed Gannon to trust him when it came to being on the water, but will Cam trust Gannon when he needs him the most?

Reckless is a M/M romance novel. Nicole makes you fall in love with these two men. The love the two of these men have for each other warmed by heart. They both loved fiercely. Finding that special someone to share your life with is rare, so when you do, hold on to them. Fight for them. Love them.

That is exactly what Gannon and Cam did. Both of these guys had their own issues to deal with. They could either deal with them on their own, like they have been trying to for years, or they could lean on each other and help each other through it.

Nicole introduced us to a great cast in this series and I look forward to reading the others. This group of friends are special.

Cam and Gannon. As different as night and day, but perfect for one another. Cam is nicknamed Reckless for a reason. He owns a marina with his childhood friends. He’s an adrenaline junkie, who lives life to the fullest. He loves the outdoors, and is always ready for his next big adventure. He’s grown tired of one-night stands, but hasn’t found the right guy to grab his interest for any length of time. He’s happy with the status quo…sort of.

Gannon runs company that develops video games. His life is indoors creating the next big craze for gamers. His life is his work, and he just doesn’t have time for a relationship. But, if the right guy were to come along, he’d make time.

Gannon’s assistant, Milly—who happens to be his best friend—gets Gannon to agree to a team-building outing with his staff. They decide on an all-day boat excursion. When they walk into Pier 70, and Cam greets them, the attraction is immediate. Neither of them makes the first move, even though they want to. Eventually, they go out on a date, and the chemistry is even stronger. They decide to see each other exclusively, but taking things slow. They’re both struggling with ghosts from their pasts that have the potential to keep them from totally committing to one another.

In addition to the main story, you get to meet Cam and Gannon’s friends and family. A great bunch with a wide range of personalities.

Nicole writes a great new storyline that is so different from her other series. You’ll definitely laugh, and maybe shed a tear or two. If you’ve read any of her other books, you know she has a gift for HOT love scenes. Have something cool to drink—or a hot body nearby when you read this book! I immediately fell in lust with Cam, and I adored Gannon. Now, I’m in love with them both.

Like her others, this series is also set in beautiful Texas, so I personally think it would be awesome if there was a surprise cameo. Nicole gives you a lot of story, but it didn’t feel cramped, rushed, or drawn out too much. In addition to Cam and Gannon, you get quite a bit of insight to the supporting cast. Enough to whet your appetite for more.

Reckless is the first book in Nicole’s new all M/M Pier 70 series. I can’t wait for the next book. Nicole blew me away (pun definitely intended) with Ethan, her first M/M book. And now, she’s writing a whole series.

Reckless is the first book in Nicole Edwards’ new MM series entitled Pier 70. In this series were are introduced to the men who own and operate Pier 70 – Cam Strickland, Roan Gregory, Dare Davis, and Teague Carter. If you know anything about this author you know that she tends to write about copious amounts of sexual variations (MF/MFM/MM, etc.) and you also know that her books are HOT AS F**K as we watch each of the characters Ms. Edwards creates succumb to passion and love. I am certainly a huge fan and love the fact that this will be her first entirely MM series! I love getting wrapped up in a sexy romance with enough emotional turmoil to fulfill any angst lover. This book definitely fit the bill as we watch two opposites clumsily forge a path to a happy forever.

Cam was somewhat wild, perhaps a little careless at times, never finding a dare he wouldn’t take. It was the reason they’d started calling him Reckless.

When it came to recreation, he hadn’t met a challenge he couldn’t accept. However, in other areas, he was likely far too cautious for his own good. Likely the reason for his nonexistent love life.

Thirty-two year old Cam Strickland owns Pier 70, an exclusive and highly coveted full service marina, along with his four friends. Cam works hard but he also knows how to play hard, having no issues with being a little reckless in his adrenaline-seeking pursuits. While Cam may be reckless and have this no-holds-barred attitude when it comes to how he takes on any physical challenge and/or dare, it is a different story when it comes to matters of the heart as this sports junkie proceeds with caution (or not at all).

Thirty-six year old Gannon Burgess is the CEO of Burgess Entertainment, a multi-million dollar entertainment software development company and a top world-wide video game producer. Gannon is all about his job which explains why it has been approximately two years since his last date. He’s this controlled, geeky corporate big-wig who finds anything that is not related to the world of video games outside of his comfort zone. When his best friend and assistant organizes a team-building day for his employees at Pier 70, Gannon has no idea that he is about to step so far out of his element that his head will spin.

Cam and Gannon are immediately attracted to one another when they meet. I loved how this perplexed both of them. After all, these two men are about as opposite as you can get so how can they the sparks even fly between them? Fantasizing about each other eventually leads to spending some time with one another. Both Cam and Gannon want to take things slow so they enter into a playful game of who wants it more. Let the games begin between the sexy tattooed bad-boy and the reserved gamer.

“One thing I’ve learned, you can’t live in the past. One day at a time. One breath at a time.”

However, he had a feeling that loving Cam might possibly be the hardest thing he’d ever done.

“What happened with taking things slow?”

Cam’s smile was radiant, and Gannon couldn’t look away as Cam got to his feet. “Eh. Who’s got time for that s**t?”

Cam and Gannon certainly have a few obstacles to overcome. Cam has some baggage from his past that he has never dealt with and he is hesitant to get in too deep with Gannon. Gannon is unsure at first if it will even work with Cam seeing as they have very little in common. Both men certainly realize there is a lot at risk and both stubbornly fight their impulse to let go and give in at first. Will they each be brave enough to step outside of their comfort zones and take a chance? It takes more that lust and physical attraction to build a lasting relationship and both men have more hindrances than reasons to pursue one another. But, the heart wants what it wants and as our two protagonists get pulled in deeper and deeper, they discover that taking a risk will be the best thing they ever did.

Gannon’s and Cam’s story was a sweet and emotional one. Despite all their differences they just worked. It was not an easy road for them to travel when it came to being together; however, they both realized that the connection between them was something neither one of them could walk away from. I loved how both men would fight for dominance when it came to the sexy times. It made things interesting and HAWT, HAWT, HAWT!!!!! Seriously, read this one with caution. As a matter of fact, read any book by this author with caution. ;)

All in all, Reckless is a wonderful start to this series that I am now hooked on. I can’t wait to see the rest of the Pier 70 men get their happy forever. I loved getting a glimpse into the lives of the four friends and I truly enjoyed seeing Cam and Gannon find their way. It was heart-warming, frustrating, sexy and passionate. All that it should be when we are in the throes of fervent love.

Not sure if I felt reckless but there sure are a lot of feels in this story. Nicole definitely has a talent for creating some really pleasant mind blowing characters that will certainly get you all hot and bothered. This wonderful beginning to a new series has so much going for it. This story is about two men who could not be any more different but find a way to make it work. Classic case of opposites attract at its finest.

Gannon and Mac are two very hot alpha males. I loved how they took their time with each other before they jumped each other’s bones. And let me just say this, when that does happen it is Nicole Edwards at her finest. These sexy beautiful men were just so hot. In and out of the bedroom. I felt their desire, I felt the sexual tension, I understood their fears and why they were guarded. Most of all I believed in their love. I LOVED the tug and war with control they shared and how the one you would expect would have full control loved to concede that control. The road isn’t always easy for them, they have some real bumps along the way, but I loved the connection between them.

Even though this first instalment is Gannon and Mac’s story we are introduced to many of their friends. Every secondary character that comes into play has an important role. I loved getting to know these other characters, which only adds to the fact that this new series is going to become my new addiction. Some of them stand out more than others in this one but there is no question that every single one of them have peeked my interests and I really want to read their stories. And as far as best friends go Milly was so freaking awesome. Everyone needs a best friend like her. She just absolutely cracked me up.

This is definitely a must read for every m/m fan. I cannot wait to read the next one and am so excited that this entire series will be m/m.

I absolutely loved this book. I adore most things Nicole Edwards, but this book... It was so much more than I anticipated. The best way to describe the book--for me--is to say it is a feel-good book. It just made me feel good to read it. And I don't only mean in the sexy-feels department.

Character creation for this book was phenomenal! I could not get enough of these two men! Cam is that kind of laid-back sexy that tickles your heart and your lady parts. He's someone you couldn't help but feel at ease with because he's so down-to-earth and carefree. And smokin' hot. Gannon was adorable, with his gamer-nerd-meets-CEO hotness. He was such a sweet and endearing character. I fell for him immediately.

And holy penile-piercings, Batman, the sexy factor of this book was off the charts! But the best thing about it was that the author was able keep the sweetness and love prominent while burning up my Kindle with her naughty words. The juxtaposition throughout the book--in both the characters and their sexual encounters--was done masterfully. Ms. Edwards popped my M/M cherry with Ethan, and she continues to blow other M/M authors I've read out of the water with her work.

When we love a particular series or theme from an author, it sometimes makes it hard to accept them writing anything else. We all know Nicole Edwards is the Queen of Menage. But she's so much more than just menage, and the first installment of this new series--as well as some of her other works--proves that. I am completely enamored with this new series, and I can't wait for the next book! Definitely a must-read for lovers of M/M romance!

The first book in Nicole Edwards’ new Pier 70 series, Reckless, is truly the beginning of something amazing. I devoured this book and can’t wait for the next one.

First, this darn book was the definition of slow burn and it nearly killed me!

The chemistry and sexual tension between Cam and Gannon was tangible, but those two fools were bound and determined to take things slowly.

There were so many great things about Reckless. I’ll try and touch on my favorites, but I know I’ll miss some things.

I adored not only the two MCs, Cam and Gannon, but also all of the secondary characters. The other guys from Pier 70 were all well developed and interesting. It makes me so excited to read more about them in the future.

Plus, Gannon’s best friend/assistant, Milly, is so awesome. I loved her. She’s the one who makes sure stuff gets done, she’s the reason Cam and Gannon meet, and she’s the one who saves their relationship from imploding. Judges say: she’s the s***.

The problems with their relationship were believable and well executed. Even though I got frustrated with Cam a couple of times I still understood why he had the issues that he did. And I was really satisfied with the resolution so that always helps.

Oh and thanks to Nicole Edwards I now have a new obsession: toppy nerds. Seriously though, Gannon makes video games for a living so you can’t even argue the nerd label (not that you should because being a nerd is nothing to be ashamed of—we are all nerds about something). And the toppy part? Well let me just say you won’t doubt for a minute who’s in control during their sexual encounters no matter who’s bottoming. ?

Plus, and it’s a really big plus for me, Cam has tattoos and…some really interesting piercings. Ugh, he was so sexy. I was practically drooling on my kindle!

My only issue while I was reading was Cam’s bestest buddy Roan acting like a butthead. He was so weird about Cam and Gannon and then was like “oh wait, no it’s cool guys, congrats.” I’m thinking this was to set up his book (though he’s not even next, Dare is according to Ms. Edwards website). Anyway, very strange behavior.

Reckless was a phenomenal book that I really enjoyed. Nicole Edwards left just enough questions unanswered about some of the other characters that I cannot wait until the next book in the series comes out.

I like Nicole Edwards. Lately, though I felt some of her stories have become repetitive. The last one I absolutely loved was AI Beau’s story (I did like Sawyers story). I don't get the newness excitement I got with some of her series. Her writing is solid but I remember the first her books that I read and it is definitely an acquired taste. It is always well edited but there is more inner dialogue than actual dialogue which, unless you write a grabbing story, it could feel like a drag. I like the realistic approach to this story. Two people totally different coming together and finding their happy medium. That is what relationships are all about. I applaud the author for brining counseling to the table – men struggle more than women in looking for mental health support. The main characters and supporting characters are very likable (Roan was a little whinny). I think Dare’s story is going to be a good one, something is cooking and I want to know. So the book gives you enough about everyone to bit the bait. Overall a good story but don’t look for fireworks.

Cam and Gannon scream “opposites attract”! These two seemingly have absolutely nothing in common, yet the chemistry between them is sizzling.
Cam’s outer appearance says “rebel” and he enjoys activities that will provide adrenaline rush earning him the nickname Reckless from his friends. Dark hair, blue eyes, tattoos and piercings make up the smokin’ exterior package that catches Gannon’s eye, but this is a man who doesn’t trust love and will go to any length to ensure that he is not hurt again.

Gannon is a workaholic, married to long hours at the office and traveling. He is also a self described nerd as the owner of a gaming company with a completely buttoned up personality. Everything that Cam enjoys gives Gannon heart palpitations when he thinks about it but he finds himself irrevocably drawn to the man. Unfortunately they really have nothing in common aside from chemistry and past heartbreak that draws them together. Tragic events in both their pasts provide the common ground for the walls to start falling down, and when they finally decide to take the leap, things turn heated fast. But Cam’s insecurities threaten to tear them apart before they even really have a chance to get started and Gannon questions whether he is willing to put his heart on the line. Fortunately they have a great support system that isn’t willing to let either one of them muck things up completely before giving each other a solid chance.

I loved Cam’s group of friends and Gannon’s best friend Milly! They are wonderful supporting characters in this story and I look forward to finding out more about them in the future, particularly Dare. As for Cam and Gannon, they could really heat up the pages but I couldn’t help but feeling that something was missing as I read their story. It may have just been me and my mood as I was reading, but I never truly felt the depth of their connection in a way that pulled me into the story completely and would make me want to re-read this one to experience it all over again. I adored Cam and felt for his deep-seated issues and fears, but I think Gannon was the source of the disconnect for me. I didn’t buy him as the dominant one in this relationship and could never really get past that piece of the story.

With that being said, I still enjoyed Reckless and I will most definitely be picking up the next book in the series no matter which of the guys it follows! I am hoping for Dare’s story, but I am intrigued by what I have seen of Teague, Hudson and Roan so far too as Ms. Edwards gave us a little insight into them along the way. 3.5 to 4 stars

Feelin’ reckless?

If it means having a shot at Cam Strickland or Gannon Burgess, I’d definitely take the risk, but too bad for me that they only wanted one another, and despite some big obstacles – the fact that they are direct opposites and have some pretty heavy baggage from each of their pasts – they’re both willing to gamble on each other in order to find someone to be devoted to instead of just their jobs.

An adrenalin junkie and a brainiac – Cam and Gannon couldn’t be more different, but in a way, that’s what makes them work because they’re able to even each other out. Neither has had an actual relationship because they’ve been too busy with work and life, but regardless of that fact, the attraction they feel for one another is something to build on and by going slow and getting to know one another, Cam and Gannon are working towards something that will last as long as Cam can deal with his fears and Gannon can deal with not being in control of Cam’s feelings and actions.

I absolutely love Nicole Edwards’ writing, especially when she puts readers into the heads of two alpha males who want to strip each other naked and show one another how strongly they feel. The steamy scenes between Cam and Gannon illustrate the connection they share and the risks they’re willing to take to be all in for each other. Their relationship is definitely not easy, and there are times when I wondered if they were too different and had too much individually to contend with, but through all the ups and downs, the one thing that was made crystal clear is that both Cam and Gannon are worth it, and they deserve to find that one person they can’t be without and it’s clear that it’s to each other that they belong.

The collection of characters that readers will meet in Reckless are all significant people in the lives of the main characters and the camaraderie and love felt amongst them definitely adds to the overall feel of the text. Roan, Teague, and Dare all have stories to be told, and I can’t wait for them!

Reckless is Book #1 in Nicole Edwards new Series Pier #70 it's the perfect start to this series I connected with these characters so well, it is brilliantly written and so realistic.

Cam Strickland is one of four owners of Pier 70 Marina. He's a sexy tattooed, and oh yes "pierced" in all the right places bad boy who lives his life recklessly checking off stunts from his bucket list. Always smiling and joking on the outside, Cam struggles with demons from a tragic past experience that complicates his ability to find himself in a relationship.

Gannon Burgess is the CEO of Burgess Entertainment, which is one of the top video producers in the world. Gannon is portrayed as your typical "nerdy" OCD control freak with work consuming most every aspect of his life leaving no time for social life or relationships: but that all changed when his best friend / assistant Milly suggests they go rent a boat for a few hours with employees to help ease some work stress.
Gannon is not pleased by this especially with his dislike for anything to do with water.

Things take a twist when these two catch sight of each other and sparks begin to fly.
They say opposites attract, and in this story we witness just how true to word this is and it's such a pleasure watching these two men break down their walls, go way out of their boundaries and learn to trust and heal each other.

This story is not rushed, the chemistry between these two men are off the charts hot but the build up to get to the place they need to be is such a beautiful journey but like anything else "good things come to those who wait" we do get a bit of angst here at times I was actually holding my breath wondering if these two polar opposites will be strong enough to defeat their fears.

I'm so looking forward to learning more about the side characters which at times had me hysterical laughing, the banter and closeness of this group was so endearing and I'm anxiously awaiting more to come.

Another great new series from Nicole Edwards! I loved Cam and Gannon - who are total opposites yet so right for each other. A great cast of men to fall in love with at Pier 70 and Gannon's BFF - Milly is a hoot!

Gannon is the nerdy entrepreneur who is not the outdoorsy person in the least bit. So when his best friend and assistant decides that the gang at that tech office needs to spend some time bonding outside, Gannon was the not in the least bit thrilled. That is until he meets Cam.

Cam owns the Pier 70 marina along with his friends, generally sticking to running the office when he's not out enjoying the lake. So when Gannon and Milly walk into their office to plan an office get-together, Cam can't seem to keep his eyes off the beautiful man who walks in like a fish out of water. There's a pull, an attraction that he doesn't quite know how to take.

Both men feel this connection but with pasts each that have kept them from getting into a relationship, neither knows how to move forward.

I loved the awkwardness and the shyness each of these guys had for each other. Not knowing if they were heading down the right path or not. Nicole is great with the right amount of angst and romance to keep you turning the page and saying just one more chapter - finding yourself devouring the book in one setting. An absolute winner!

Nicole Edwards has given me a new series addiction with Reckless. I am shamefully admitting this is the first book of hers that I have read in a couple of years, but it didn’t take long for me to remember why I love her writing so much. This story was hot, provocative and engaged me within the first few pages. Some may think that there was too much sexy and not enough plot, but I am here to tell you, that was not the case at all.

Cam and Gannon definitely had oodles of chemistry, but they were also amazing characters. They were both compassionate, enjoyable and really well-versed both separately and as individuals. You will also get a glimpse into the lives of the rest of the guys from Pier 70 throughout the book. There are going to be some incredible stories coming in the future. I am especially intrigued to learn more about the connection between the sexy and mysterious Hudson.

Romance and a marina filled with Hot and sexy men, yeah this is your book! Cam co-owns the Marina with his three best friends Roan, Dare and Teague. Three men that are looking for more and not finding until Gannon comes in with his assistant Milly to rent out a pontoon for a work unity builder.
Gannon and Cam are perfection, the mix of shy and boldness they both possess. The tenderness yet hungry way they approach their relationship. The way they both try to see each others faults to overcome and move forward with their hearts....Perfection!!!
This group of men that share a bond strong of friendship and brotherhood. I love the dynamic they have have they share more than friendship, they have a brother hood.
But it isn't just their bond that makes this book so amazing, it is Cam and Gannon. Reaching out to make a change in their lives by sharing and their past heart breaks and fears was emotional. This book reached in to my heart and just made it pump faster and harder.
Nicole Edwards is the queen of making intense relationships more than just about the flash, they are filled with pain, fear and passion. More than anything you can always feel the love that flows through them. That is what you get when you read about Cam and Gannon love!

I FLOVED this book!!! Mrs. Edwards has done it again!

Cam and Gannon these two are so completely different. Theres only one thing that they have in common, there work ethnic. That's all thats in there life. No time for a relationship, just doing what they do best.Then just out of chance, Gannon walks into Cam's office and everything changes.
Neither one of them can stop thinking about the other. An they really dont understand it. They have never had this kind of pull to anyone.
Cam- living his live day by day. The Reckless one.Keeping his heart guarded because of the things that happened in his past.

I loved this story, Ethan and Beau are my favorite from Nicole Edwards but i think Cam and Gannon have them beat. Every book Mrs. Edwards writes, sucks you in and you will always wants more. This new series has me hooked once again and I cant wait for the next book!!

Little disclaimer: Nicole Edwards is the lady that got me started on my m/m romance journey, albeit through her menage books. Even though I really liked her menage books, I found myself always waiting for the next scene when the men were together exclusively. Ethan is one of my favorite m/m books ever.

I really liked this book a lot. It was a bit long at times and a little predictable at times but overall pretty good. I love that Gannon is geeky…I especially love that he has glasses while being super hot. He’s made a great man of himself in spite of what happened to him as a teen. I love how he surprised us with alpha tendencies – not what you’d expect from a geek. I love that Cam is surprisingly vulnerable even though he’s this big tatted bad arse. I love that they are opposites attracting and learning new things together. They are ridiculously sweet while being very hot together.

We meet a lot of characters in this story setting up for future books in this series that should be just as good as this one. I can’t wait for the next one!

Reckless is a story about two opposite hot alpha males!!!

Cam who owns Pier 70 Marina with his three (also hot) friends, who loves being out on the water and is somewhat of an adrenaline junkie.
Gannon is the CEO of Burgess Entertainment, a computer geek who spends most of his time sitting at his computer creating video games with his assistant and best friend Milly by his side.

When Cam and Gannon meet the attraction is instant and undeniable but both have past demons that keep them guarded, both have suffered heartache and neither is looking for a one night stand but they also cannot ignore their attraction to one another!

If you enjoy reading love stories of M/M’s then Reckless is a must read! Beautifully written and found this one very difficult to put down.

So looking forward to reading the next book!

Nicole’s book never fail to deliver and this one is right up there with her others, you will get the hot sexy men, scenes that will make you blush, laugh out loud moments, strong connections to family and friends but we also see the fear that comes from past events.

Cam Strickland is one of the sexy owners of Pier 70 and finds himself being pursued by Gannon Burgess owner of a Video Games company, events that happened a long time ago in Cams life have him living life at a fast and reckless pace but his fears hold him back from committing to a relationship, will Gannon be able to push his way into Cam’s life and not get burned.

Well I’m going to leave you to find this out for yourselves I will say that you don’t want to miss this new series and the glimpses we get of the rest of Pier 70 owners will leave you wanting more and hoping the wait won’t be too long.

A purely emotional and character driven read, with the time and space needed to see Cam and Gannon's relationship grow.

Opposites attract and Cam and Gannon are at opposite ends of the spectrum with confident, outdoorsy, risk-taker Cam and geeky and indoorsy Gannon but they compliment each other. But whilst Cam comes across as confident, his insecurities become evident as Gannon takes the lead in the relationship. Cam's insecurities run deep and could be considered irrational but have they have the ability to drive a permanent wedge between the two men.

I loved the sweetness between Cam and Gannon and their desire to step outside their comfort zone for the other. With a great cast of additional characters, I can't wait to discover their stories that we get a small glimpse of here.

Nicole Edwards does it again with the start of her new M/M series Pier 70. This was a great start to the series. Not only was I intrigued by the main characters but the supporting cast had my attention. I am now invested in what will happen next with the Pier 70 crew.

Gannon and Cam are total opposites, but there is an old saying opposites attract. And boy do Gannon and Cam attract. They have an indescribable attraction to each other but have both been burned in different ways. They try to muddle through a new relationship while learning what love really is.

The heat is off the charts but the buid up was slow and steady. Once these two come together it’s like a fire igniting. If you love your M/M books HOT with a great story then this one is perfect for you.

I have loved everything I have ever read by Nicole Edwards. She just gets it when it comes to writing. Now I know that no one is perfect but she is darn close.
Cam and Gannon are such a great couple. Yeah there's some ups and downs but it was so good. The s€x was off the charts hot and oh so perfect.
The only thing that was off to me was it wasn't as action packed as some of her others. Not a lot of crazy drama. HOWEVER it was focused on a more real life feel. Things that happen in everyday relationships. It was nice to see a HEA for a couple going through real world hurts and dramas.
Thanks Nicole for another great book. I am looking forward to reading about all the boys! :)

Reckless is the first book in Nicole Edwards’ new MM series entitled Pier 70. In this series were are introduced to the men who own and operate Pier 70 – Cam Strickland, Roan Gregory, Dare Davis, and Teague Carter. If you know anything about this author you know that she tends to write about copious amounts of sexual variations (MF/MFM/MM, etc.) and you also know that her books are HOT AS F*** as we watch each of the characters Ms. Edwards creates succumb to passion and love. I am certainly a huge fan and love the fact that this will be her first entirely MM series! I love getting wrapped up in a sexy romance with enough emotional turmoil to fulfill any angst lover. This book definitely fit the bill as we watch two opposites clumsily forge a path to a happy forever.

Gannon is unsure at first if it will even work with Cam seeing as they have very little in common. Both men certainly realize there is a lot at risk and both stubbornly fight their impulse to let go and give in at first. Will they each be brave enough to step outside of their comfort zones and take a chance? It takes more that lust and physical attraction to build a lasting relationship and both men have more hindrances than reasons to pursue one another. But, the heart wants what it wants and as our two protagonists get pulled in deeper and deeper, they discover that taking a risk will be the best thing they ever did.

Gannon’s and Cam’s story was a sweet and emotional one. Despite all their differences they just worked. It was not an easy road for them to travel when it came to being together; however, they both realized that the connection between them was something neither one of them could walk away from. I loved how both men would fight for dominance when it came to the sexy times. It made things interesting and HAWT, HAWT, HAWT!!!!! Seriously, read this one with caution. As a matter of fact, read any book by this author with caution. ;)

All in all, Reckless is a wonderful start to this series that I am now hooked on. I can’t wait to see the rest of the Pier 70 men get their happy forever. I loved getting a glimpse into the lives of the four friends and I truly enjoyed seeing Cam and Gannon find their way. It was heart-warming, frustrating, sexy and passionate. All that it should be when we are in the throes of fervent love.

Gannon is total Alpha Nerd. He is CEO of a video game production company. One thing they do have is chemistry but can they overcome their fears and the obstacles and find a way to coincide in their two very different worlds?

If you like hot steamy M/M Romance Reckless is a must read.

It moved along at an amazing pace, has characters that will grab you, that you cannot help but fall in love with and a story that will grab you and not let you go until you finish the very last word. What a wonderful MM Romance, especially for her first one. Cam & Gannon have an attraction that just ignites. They get along great and things grow from there. Loved this story from Nicole Edwards and I am looking forward to reading more from her.
