My Monster Mama Loves Me So

I purchased this book shortly after it was first printed, this book has become the favorite book for my younger children and a treasured memory for my older children. I have the book memorized because I have read it so many times and our copy has a lot of wear. This copy will be tucked away and I'll purchase a new copy for my children and future grandchildren.

This enchanting story puts a sweet face on a monster ~ a monster Mama! Each one of her little monsters asks her how much she loves them and she tells each that they are special in their own way. Adorable story and GREAT illustrations. Mama monster is special in HER own way and the little frights show her how much in the end.

My family loves this book. The rhyme is well-written and smooth-flowing. It's a cute, funny book which makes my boys giggle every time. Though we have read it often, my two boys (5 & 7) still find it entertaining and fun.

I originaly bought this book through a book club at my daughter's school, but it became very worn and I had to seek out another copy. I actually bought two new copies. One to read to my two year old son and one to put away and pass on to his children. It's a wonderful book to read to any child about the love of a mother and a child. The illustrations are amazing. I highly recommend this book to anybody with a child in their life or as a gift to a soon to be mother. Enjoy!

Full of light-hearted fun for my kids. Turns the fear of monsters on its head and shows their side of life. They do like gross stuff but what rough and tumble kid doesn't think spiders, bugs, etc. are cool. Enjoy this fun read especially on those nights when kids think they should be afraid of monsters!

This book is adorable...the story is wonderful and very funny and the illustrations are great. The story is in rhyming verse, which gives it a nice rhythm. I read this to my 2 year old daughter and it is truly one of our favorite books...I highly recommend it.

The illustrations are wonderful! I think I like this book more than my son does. You have to look at the pictures carefully, there are hidden bunnies and other creatures as well. A heartfelt story, it's a joy to read.
