I love this couple!!! They are stronger than ever. There is still more for this team to tackle with their old company. The attraction between the two is still hot and sexy and the story line is fresh and exciting. Good read.

Enjoyable read. Frost has given us a romantic vampire based tale, with an angle beyond the norm. Nothing blood-thirsty so as keep the reader awake all night, but manages to stay within the genre so that I spent looking for another inq the series
At Grave's End: Night Huntress, Book 3 :: The Beautiful Ashes (A Broken Destiny Novel Book 1) :: Eternal Kiss of Darkness (Night Huntress World Book 2) :: Destined for an Early Grave - Night Huntress - Book 4 :: This Side of the Grave: Night Huntress, Book 5

The entire series has been spell binding. The relationship between Kat and Bones shows a true devotion of love of two people. The love they have for each other and their friends and family tell of tremendous loyalty and affection. The story lines are exciting and well done, always something going on..

Cat and Bones have been one of my favorite couples in PNR. The first four books, to me, were amazing. They made me laugh, they made me cry, they made my heart pound... But these last two? Such utter disappointments.

This Side of the Grave... Felt like she was beating me over the head with how happy and well adjusted and secure and blah blah Cat and Bones were. It was like reading a relationship self-help book or something. I read it anyway because the plot was somewhat engrossing, and I just kept HOPING it would pick up. It did not. I decided to give her one more book to get things back on track.

This book, One Grave at a Time... I have nothing nice to say, other than the plot could have been interesting.

The introduction of the character Madigan was like Don-lite or Don 2.0 before Cat realized Don was her uncle. Redundant and obviously introduced solely for the purpose of getting Cat back in the government's claws.

And don't even get me started on Tyler. Every - single - thing he says is a cliche. He was the most stereotypical gay man I have ever read.

And you know what happened most of the book? Cat and Bones ran from Kramer. Kramer finds them. Fight ensues. Sage gets lit and he goes away. Cat and Bones run from Kramer again. Kramer finds them despite garlic and pot. Fight ensues. Sage gets lit and he goes away. REPEAT 4 -6 MORE TIMES.

Oh, and this book had a 'message' as well: Glass half full, not half empty. That was the mantra over and over.

And you want to know Bones whole purpose for being in the book? Give Cat a pick-me-up, tell other people what to do, or deliver a witty one-liner. She has taken a character that I fell in love with, cried over, and turned him into a flat, one-dimensional "talking head" character.

I AM DONE WITH THIS SERIES. I'll keep an eye on the next one, see if it has a drastic improvement or no... And I'll probably pick up Vlad's book... But I'm done with Cat and Bones. I'll just pretend the series ended with book 4.
