Very interesting concept for a story line. About the time you think "I''m running out of book, where is this going?", it all comes together & really does it quite nicely.

You will like Kat & Joel; & may even wonder where the heck it's all going with Maria & Larry? There's even a tad bit of a mystery to wonder about & try to figure out the answer to. No matter, enjoy the read.

This was better than most romantic comedies, in that it skipped the big stupid blow up in the middle. I found the characters relatable and real. And I loved the plot, it made me smile to think of the many cool changes the characters went thru.

This book kept me thoroughly entertained for several hours. Between the charming characters and picturesque setting, the book paints a picture in the mind of the reader. I recommend this book to anyone who likes light entertainment.

Such a sweet, happy and feel good romance novel! It was very well written, I don't think there was a single typo in the whole book. There were parts that were funny and quite a bit of suspense too, wondering what was going to happen to Kat, her menagerie and the house. This was the first book I've read by this author but it won't be the last.

My favorite character in this comedic book is the dog Linus who looks like a bear and has no trouble figuring out who trust and who not to trust add to that a cat with gender identity problems and a heroine and hero who become besotted with each other along the bumpy road of inheritance and you have a five star winner

Chez Stinky by Susan C. Daffron is a hilarious love story. I really enjoyed the sense of humor, the tiniest bit of angst, and the twist of the ending. The title is super fitting. The characters are adorable and it was very easy to get attached. I loved how they all related differently to each other, depending upon the relationship. Just really well done!

A very enjoyable, light romantic comedy. I loved that Kat was slightly klutzy (kept falling down). The animals were cute without being perfectly cute. And sooo glad she didn't end up with the first guy she met in Alpine Grove! I will keep reading the series (just downloaded book 2). It's nice to find a series featuring dogs and cats that lets you laugh instead of cry.

A very sweet romantic comedy alive with lots of pets and their antics. Just enough characters to keep it interesting but not so many that you have to keep flipping back and forth trying to remember them all. A very unique unexpected turn of events for the ending.

Wonderful little summer or week end book. Kat is a gokd character, well crafted, unlucky and the supporting cast is funny. I liked the first part not being about the romance but the decisions Kat has to make, meeting the animals and the townfolks.

My only probleme with this book is the lack of emotional reaction to the big life changing news Kat gets by the end of the book. Not to realistic.

This was a pleasant light-hearted short romance. It's good to read when you don't want to worry about keeping up with a ton of other characters. The humor was ok, but the two antagonists were neutralized with such little trouble that I felt something was missing. A little more angst would have helped the happy ending be happier!

I almost passed by this book because the title sounded so hokey. I actually found the book to be well written and quite amusing. I will probably buy more books by this author since I enjoyed this book.

This is a fun, quirky little romance about a young woman who ends up inheriting an... Interesting house and a menagerie of pets. Good characters, smooth writing style--a few interesting twists, too. A couple of things felt unfinished, but pretty decent little book overall. I liked it.

An adorable story about a young woman that jumps through hurdles to inherit her aunt's cozy house and loving animals. The author did an excellent job creating the characters as well as the surprising twist towards the end.

Chaz Stinky was highly entertaining . Its not the same old run of the mill, repetitive romance story..it has humor and fun and it actually moves and has a plot line. I would read more books written by Ms. Saffron...you go girl!

I started reading this book this morning drinking a cup of coffee. I just finished it and had to buy the rest of the series. I loved the characters and the story line. This book held my interest from the first page to the last page. I can't wait to start the next book tomorrow morning. I will certainly read all of Susan Daffron's books.

Great book! I could relate on many levels - the boss, the job, the animals - taking a leap of faith and changing your life when you REALLY need to. Got some chuckles along the way too. Try it - you'll like it.

Very light hearted reading - but engaging - the kind of reading where you're annoyed to have to put it down when lunch hour or transit ride to/from work is over.
Sorry not to be more specific, but my lunch hour is over. Suffice it to say that I enjoyed all the characters, even the various personalities of the dogs and cats.

It was fun reading this book. The story is opened well and shows the character's development. I honestly didn't think the ending with be that quick... wish the writer had spend a couple more hours writing it instead of just ending it like that...

Great light-hearted book. Perfect for a quick read when you need an escape. I most likely won't read it again, so what I am willing to pay is only a few dollars. Still I don't regret the time spent reading it.

I had quite a few laughs while reading Chez Stinky. As a person who owns dogs and has owned cats in the past, let me say that Mrs. Daffron has the animals' actions down pat. If you want a fun read, I suggest this one.

The beginning and middle were quite involved and captivating, however I found the conclusion a bit lame. All the loose ends did get tied off, but it was like a good fairy fixed it up. Not remotely believable.

I enjoyed this story. The portrayal of the animals and their quirks was right on. The writing is good, a bit sparse and a bit simple, but that makes it relaxing. I'll give some of her other titles a try.

Ms. Daffron is a true story-teller - her realistic and hilarious telling of Kat's efforts to get Murphee, the cat, into a travel carrier, had me laughing out loud.
A well-written, properly edited story with just enough romance, mystery, friendship, and pets to make it perfect.

Enjoyed the story. Enough characters to keep it interesting without getting carried away. I felt the last few chapters could have had more story...once you got into the interesting stuff it quickly ended. I would like to read the next book though i hope the endings are more expanded.
