Go Fetch - is another book from Shelly Laurenston about the Magnus Pack. I somehow missed this one when it came out and had to catch up. I am so glad I did - this is another great book from Ms. Laurenston about her shapeshifters. I do enjoy those crazy ladies of the Magnus Pack!

I have just started reading this author and WOW, I can't wait for the next one. This one had characters that you fall in love with and don't want the book or story to end. A must read for fans of this author.

Even though I was disappointed in Laurenston's "Pack Challenge," I was interested enough to stick with the series to learn more about Sara Morrighan's friend Miki. I wish I hadn't.

Sara's toughness is easily attributable to the hard life that she led - in large part due to the fact that she was raised by her nut-case grandmother. Even after reading the book, I don't know what Miki's excuse was - she was just plain psychotic!

Conall Viga-Feilan was a gorgeous wolf-shifter in Norse teddy-bear clothing. Conall fell for Miki the first time he laid eyes on her - in spite of the fact that she wanted absolutely nothing to do with him or any other man. Instead of taking the hint, he followed her around like a puppy until he got what he wanted - to get into Miki's pants. Everything from that point on followed what seems to be Laurenston's normal formula - frequent, loud, borderline violent sex described in the most vulgar of terms.

No surprises here - other than the fact that Conall was still interested in Miki even after discovering that she was a complete nut job!

This was a very enjoyable book. I've really liked reading all of the books by this author. Once I start reading it's hard to put one of her books done and I immediately look for the next book if it's part of a series!

I absolutely love this shifter series! Every story is great. I've read them all. The characters are lovable, fun, and entertaining; I laugh my way through every book. When I finished the series (to date), I was sad. Can't wait to "see my friends" in her next book! Sexy and entertaining.

Another one for the keeper shelves. Shelly Laurenston consistently does HOT, funny stories about shifters. She delivers great characters, witty dialogue and fast paced plots on a consistent basis. Go Fetch is part of the Magnus series about a pack of motorcycle riding wolves.

Go Fetch Magnus Pack 2

The anthology WHEN HE WAS BAD contains a related short story 'Miss Congeniality'

I thought this book had great potential, which is why I gave it two stars. Also, the sex scenes were great. However, I had the following problems:

1. First, the heroine was unlikeable. I really had no sympathy for her whatsoever and didn't understand why she was so obnoxious to the hero. Her attitude really made me question the hero's taste, too - why on earth would he want someone like her?

2. Second, the idea that the heroine was smart and considered dangerous was waaaay overplayed. Yeah, we get it - she's smart. Grad students usually are pretty intelligent. It would've been nice not to have been beaten blue with the idea, though. From all the namedropping of ivy league and other prestigious universities to her involvement with the CIA and FBI, hearing how brainy she was really god old. And her smart mouth and ability to kick butt were great, but so overdone it was a tired theme by the end of the book.

3. Third, the plot was so weak that it was secondary to the sex, even to the point where it wasn't used as a mechanism to get the two characters together. It was introduced very, very briefly at the beginning of the book (someone was out to get her, but she didn't know who), then sexual tension took over for the majority of the book until the very end, when the plot was weakly trotted out, then died a quick death, followed by more sex.

I would've liked to have seen more time spent on the werewolf interaction and how they different from normal humans (all I got was the strong sense of smell and that they ate a lot), as well as more plot. Like I said, this book had potential, but it fell flat in some crucial areas.

Miki! Miki! Miki!

That’s what Miki’s little geek friends shout when she comes around and I love her so much, I find myself shouting it with them. She’s beyond genius, funny, witty, and could be crowned the queen of snark. She’s the poster child for small but mighty because even though she’s a human, she has a cunning creativity when it comes to her mean streak that scares the crud out of shifters.

How can you not love a woman who is without a filter, saying whatever comes to mind, no matter how inappropriate her thoughts or comments are. Her inquisitive mind is constantly in overdrive especially when it comes to this new to her world of shifters. This leads to constant questions and odd and usually inappropriate experiments. There’s a reason the book is called Go Fetch, lol.

Now she’s not the only reason Go Fetch is my favorite SL book. I love that she’s paired up with the perfect wolf for her, Connal. Everyone thinks he’s one great big teddy bear and the nice one of the bunch. Miki saw straight through that shizzle and knows he’s the most terrifying of them all. The first time Connal saw little Miki it stopped him in his tracks, and come Hades or high water he’s going to catch her and make her his. Too bad she has no intention of being caught.

The Chase she leads him on had me in stitches. I wasn’t kidding when I said she was mean. She’ll do anything to keep from giving in to her feelings and some of the things she pulls on him is freaking hilarious. Well, until she poked the bear one too many times and the rabid Viking wolf came out to play.

The meaner Miki got, the more turned on Conall became which worked out well because these two are hot together. I’m surprised every time I read this my iPad doesn’t explode into flames. Conall may not be quite a genius like his woman but he is unbelievably creative in the bedroom.

There’s a new adversary in Go Fetch and they are creepy as all get out, even the kids! Conall’s family isn’t all that great either but they were more for comic relief than any real threat.

Go Fetch has everything I love rolled up into one book. Strong characters who don’t take themselves too seriously, lots of action, it’s hotter than hot, and full of snark and fun.

I didn't realize that this series came before Ms. Laurenston's Pride series. I think had I read it first, I may have enjoyed it more, but it really lacked some of the humor that I found in her new series. I felt this book was a little better than the last one, but overall the three books in this series were formulaic. Each of the women, Sara, Miki, and Angie had trouble letting people close - blah blah blah - got it. I think Miki was the most annoying of the three women. Yes, she's brilliant - I like that aspect of her personality, but she was annoying to me. I really liked Connall though. All the male shifters of this series were awesome and amazingly patient. The women were annoying and bratty.

This is my first time reading Shelly Laurenston and I liked it a lot. I am a huge fan of werewolf romance especially when there is good chemistry between the hero and heroine. Miki and Conall were hilarious. Miki gave Conall a very good run for his money.

He was all "MINE" from the beginning of the book. Miki likes to be a free thinking, independent woman...she's very cautious and afraid of becoming a single mother like her mother. I got where she was coming from. However...she's a bit mean at times. But once you get to know her, she's not so bad. She grows on you.

Conall was a great choice for her and really got Miki. I liked that. He didn't make her change (not that he could).I did not read the book preceding "Go Fetch". This book is not a stand alone. But I was't so lost that I couldn't finish this story.

I liked it, the story, the characters and the dialogue most especially. I will most likely read more from this author.

Laugh out loud funny.

Shelly Laurenston does a masterful job of blending humor in this paranormal romance series.

If you enjoy a steamy romance with a hint of intrigue, you will love the Magnus Pack Series.

I5f you have read the Pride series, you will recognize a few of the returning characters.

If not, you don't have to read the Pride Series first. They can be read in any order and you will still enjoy them.

I highly recommend this series for anyone looking to lighten up their day with some great laughs and a good romance.

Another great installment from Laurenston, this book was full of humor, romance, action and drama. The lead male character was just yummy. The female I had a harder time connecting too, but I was still interested to read the story. I'm looking forward to reading the next book.

I've read Laurenston's Pride Stories and Dragonkin series (written under GA Aiken) and they are even better than this Magnus Pack series. Be sure to check them out if you haven't already. Magnus Pack is still worth reading--all her books are. For a long time Lynsay Sands was my favorite funny paranormal romance author, and Laurenston/Aiken has taken over that spot.

About a year ago, a friend recommended that I read, Here, Kitty, Kitty. I did and loved it. Time passed and I noticed that I hadn't read any more books by Ms. Laurenston since that first one and couldn't fathom why.

So I picked up the two remaining books in her Magnus series. I just finished Go Fetch, and when I tell you it was soooooo good, I mean it.

The characters are three-dimensional, the dialogue side-splitting funny and the plot well-developed. It's as if these stories actually happened to her and she's just retelling them over coffee to a few good friends.

I'm so glad to be considered a friend.

Loved this book a lot. Miki and the Vikings interaction just killed me, I was constantly laughing out loud at their antics in the love/hate department. Being a geek myself I really loved Miki's character and could completely relate to her. So far these books are Action/Good Plot/Hot Sex all rolled up into one. I've already downloaded the next two books "Here Kitty, Kitty" and "When he was bad", as well as the first Pride Series "The Mane Event" to continue the story along... can't wait.

Yasss! If you love bossy alpha females... GRAB THIS book! I laughed a lot with Viking and Ms Kendrick
The 1st book was kinda slow, this one wasn't as slow and had more action! Hoping to keep that momentum going into the 3rd book!!

I absolutely love this author. Mostly because as a black woman it's nice to see myself depicted in mainstream in a way that's not stereotypical and this was absolutely refreshing. She writes about characters of all ethnicities and doesn't stereotype them which I think is amazing!!!!!!!! I like how in all her books all the men and women are different in their own right....sometimes authors can create cookie cutter characters that seem to follow formulas and basically it's like reading the same book over and over again and all that changes are the characters' names. I like how all the stories are different from the norm, race is not an issue in her books, the personalities of her characters are interesting and sometimes just down right HILARIOUS!!!, and last but not least..I love how her characters interconnect. It's nice to follow up with characters so that's always fun =) I will definitely be buying from her again!!!!

I have been reading rave reviews about this book, it's alpha male lead Conall and it's Lara Croft like heroine Miki for months. I finally borrowed the book hoping it was half as good as everyone else seems to think it is... it's better. They had chemistry for days and it was refreshing to read about a woman who could rescue her Viking as he was saving her! And thank you Ms. Laurenston for creating an Alpha who was never an a-hole!
