I'm still in the process of reading the book. It is an occasional reader for me,picking it up when I have a few minutes to burn. I find some of the techniques outlined in the book difficult to duplicate. Yes, I am physically trying to learn the physical skills mentioned. I do have some skills related to survival from past employment, even so, many of these skills/results are difficult to achieve. If the level of information continues to evolve in future chapters as it has to this point I will have to rate "100 Deadly Skills" a solid 4 star.

Regardless of the title, this is not a book on 100 way to kill, but more on 100 ways to survive.

This book packs large amounts of useful information in a simple to understand and easy to remember manner. The sections are short and to the point, which makes it great for reading even when you only have 5-10 minutes to spare. This book will help you prepare for any emergency anyone could encounter, anywhere and for most natural disasters. For these reasons I am reading it with my family. It is better to know and not need than to not know and need.

Oh! you may want to have pen and paper to take notes as you read it. Great buy.
Also the book is made out of high quality paper. I believe is water resistant paper.

If you liked the first one, you're going to like the second one.

This one has EDC kits and tips for different survival environments as well as ones for your person and home.

More of an urban warrior tone.

I probably have every good survival book written and still learned a few new tricks.

This opened my eyes to so many things. Each 2-page article is an overview of items and skills to survive in a variety of environments, including urban, home invasion, etc. This isn't in-depth treatment of any given topic, but instead opens your mind to a new world of awareness.
Example: breaking into a garage is as easy as slipping a metal hanger over the top of the garage door and using the hook to pull on the manual override handle of the motorized opener to release the door. It had never occurred to me what a weak link a garage door could be to my home security.

This is a great book for bedtime reading - each article is only a couple of pages long so nodding off after the first few pages is no worry. :-)

Its ok. I dont think you're likely to learn any practical skills from this book. It is not a skill based book, more a preparation and mindset type. With regard to the mindset aspect it is pretty good if for no other reason that it stresses a level of mental readiness that is important and applicable. But for actual skills the title seemed a little deciving to me.

Book offered info readily available if not common knowledge. I was unimpressed and underwhelmed. I truly expected more arcanity, more self defense, more offensive moves. Instead I got Boy Scout pablum.

Wish I could say something good. Best I can it that some good information, but in large part, not very applicable. How many of us are planning to cross international boarders by air, without going through an airport, or sneaking into another country by riding an ATV through mountains or rain forests? Truly sad that the best this Former Navy Seal can come up with with, is some very poor comic book sketching for illustrations! Perhaps this was written for someone with language skills, but almost insulting to find something like this on the store. Sorry.

An interesting follow up to the first. The skills listed in this book range from how to locate food or water to suicide bomber, so there is a little bit of everything. Although, I will say there are more topics covered on urban survival than your average survival book. I enjoyed the read but couldn't help but chuckle a few times.

Returned it. Very basic knowledge and doesn't go into much detail; actually missing a lot of key details around discussing some skills. Poorly organized and he jumps from topic to topic with no logic. Book ended as abruptly as it started with no conclusion; it's like he got lazy at the very end.

Save your time and money. You won't learn much here; and if you do then I'm sorry to say but you're already doomed not to survive whatever comes you're way.

Because I suffer from a mental illness that comes with what I have dubbed "catastrophic thinking" it should come as no surprise that I would read a book with so much survival knowledge. Chances are I will never need any of them but it actually really helped to read a book that taught me ways to deal with the kind of terrifying situations my brain likes to cook up. From how to escape zip-ties and subdue a hijacker to improvised weapons and what to do in a theater shootout I found myself solidly engrossed and unexpectedly calmed to gain this info.

If this is a topic that at all interests you—and I'm talking real world situations not alien invasions or zombie apocalypses—then I would recommend picking this up. At the very least you'll find some cool stuff to use as a conversation starter at the watercooler.

After much research, I purchased this book for my adult son. My decision was based on content and readability. Other than the great content from an amazing Navy Seal, I was impressed each subject was succinctly expressed in a mere 2 pages. This makes for a quick & easy read as well as retention. While most will buy this book for themselves, I suggest to buy others as gifts for family and friends.

Great book with useful tips. Several should be common sense. I have the audible version and I have to say, the narrator has no voice reflection, nor variation in pitch, pace or tone. He's just dry and monotone. Please use a professional narrator because clearly this was a useful book, but the narrator put me to sleep a few times. lol at the -if there's a shark attack you can always stab the person near you and head to shore. WTF. Also I am missing out on the drawings by having the audible version so I suggest you get the hard copy book version. I'm unsure if the kindle version has the drawings.

The most versatile weapon in your arsenal is the gray matter between your ears. Keep it loade with ideas and you will never be unarmed. This book is clear and concise with simple, practical ideas for a variety of situations that HAVE occurred to a number of people and will undoubtedly happen to others. Armed with the ideas in this book gives even an average person a leg up on an emergency situation. I am a retired "special unit" cop who regularly reviews emergency preparedness plans and teach officer survival. I found a number of ideas in this book that can be easily adapted to a number of those plans. In short, this book is worth every penny and has a permanent place in my library.

The entire book is based under the assumption that you're pre-equipped for the said scenario. A lot of it is common sense stuff but there was a few things said that caught my attention. Oh and the pictures were alright i guess.

I got this book as one of many Valentine's Day gifts for my boyfriend. He has this new interest in survival shows and no matter how much we watch them, I am not overly confident in our survivalist skills. Even though he is not much of a reader I decided to get this book. He can not put it down. This book is a must read and not just for guys. I am so happy I got this book.

It's better to be prepared and never have to employ these tactics than to be thrown into a desperate situation and have to devise a plan in the chaos of the moment. If nothing else, it is an interesting read. At most, it could save the life of someone you love.
