Hope Heals is a painfully, beautifully written story. I immediately noticed and experienced the intimate relationship both couples had with Jesus as the chapters were identified by their names. This book touched me in the most intimate ways, as I am a Christian mother or 3 kids...but life is unpredictable and full of blessed surprises when one 'suffers' physically. This book only challenged me to have faith and hope for the unseen. I will pray that this book and ministry touches many lives for Christ. It was already done to me.

This book was a great encouragement for those who are going through trials. I will definitely be rereading this book! Those who currently are not facing trials, will find reasons to be grateful for what they have.

This couple has experienced so much suffering and they REJOICE in their sufferings. They are the real deal, people. Their beautifully vulnerable words will soften your heart and deepen your faith. A must read.

I have nearly finished this book. It is one that will stay with me! Jay and Katherine are most honest about the pain and struggle they had in the devastating stroke she had and in the struggle to cope with the disabilities that followed! But as they clung to their Heavenly Father, not only in the beginning of this difficult journey but as they traveled the road consistently holding on to Him; the fire that could have devastated them became a refining fire to their faith. Also, it is clear that the community of saints was such a strong support, in addition to a very loving faith-filled extended family. Both were essential to their walk through this incredibly dark valley. Over all, God's Grace shines through in multiple ways that will impact you greatly as you read this book!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book it was beautifully written and told an amazing story of a married couple that faced incredible tragedy and adversity and still somehow managed to to find hope, beauty and faithfulness throughout their ordeal. Truly inspiring in so many ways.

This is the best kind of love story… a beautiful, painful, devastatingly honest look at a marriage faced with he unthinkable. Jay and Katherine take you on their journey in a raw, yet incredibly poetic way. You'll fall in love with these two, you'll witness God's providence, and perhaps you'll even see yourself in their story. Best book I've read in ages!!!

This story will amaze, encourage, and bring you hope. Jay and Katherine's honesty is refreshing and challenging. It isn't told through rose-colored glasses, so if your life isn't turning out exactly the way you planned (or not even close) this book is for you.

Jay & Katherine don't allow you a view of their lives through rose colored glasses, they invite you in and allow you to walk it with them. So vulnerable, so rich, so powerful! Just finished this book and highly recommend it. I started reading Katherine's blog shortly after she had her stroke and have followed her story since then. Truly an inspiring story of how to find and put your hope in Jesus, no matter the circumstances.

Such a beautiful story of faith, hope and love. Never did they let their circumstances define them, only glorified God in all of His righteousness. I highly recommend this book if you've ever felt down, lost, frustrated of about your circumstances or just need a little hope in your life.
