Little Blue Truck's Beep-Along Book

Very disappointed! I preordered two, one for our house & one for his home, as my grandson loves the little blue truck series. This book does not live up to the rest of the books. Would not recommend.

I was disappointed a bit with this book since the other Little Blue Truck books are all 5 stars!

Cons: Beeper is very hard for a grown up to get a squeak out of, so it was frustrating for my 2 year old. The story is to the tune of "If you're happy and you know it." While this was fun and cute especially for my toddler, I have to say I was hoping for more of a story like in the other Blue Truck books.

Pros: INTERACTIVE so a great addition to the series for their little fans. I listed the song bit as a con, but it's also a pro because all kids love "If you're happy and you know it." The story brings back some favorites from the other books, like the pig, horse, and frog.

This book is very cute, and we love the character, but the plush truck is impossible to beep, even for an adult. I practically have to sit on it while squashing it with both hands to get it to make a sound. My 3 year old was very frustrated trying to get it to beep and does not enjoy the story when we have to interrupt it so I can try some twister moves to crush the whole book and get a weak little beep out of it every page. Too bad.

I read the other reviews and thought, "but my son loves these books, surely these people are being to critical." Nope. The "beep along" cheaply made truck is, as others said, a chew toy squeaker. More than that, the squeaker is impossible to get to, so my son's "squeak along" experience is definitely not a fun one. The pages are also incredibly flimsy - this is not traditional board book material. I highly recommend waiting for little blue's next big adventure and hope that the publisher has gotten its issues worked out.

Both my boys (4 and 18mths) love all these books. We own them all. This one is nothing compared to the other board books. Specially for the price. My 4yr old can't make the truck "beep" and I even as an adult find it cumbersome. I feel like they missed the mark on this one and I would wait until it's on sale at TJ Maxx for $4 if your dying to have it still.

I thought it was defective until I got a weak "beep" out of it after wrestling with it but my son was not able to get it and was very frustrated. He asks us to read the others in the series usually three or four times in a row, this one he was over after the first few pages.

I would not buy again or give to someone as a gift like I would the other "Blue Truck" books.

My son loved previous Little Blue Truck books. All of them. To the point where my husband and I could wake up at 3am in the morning and say them out loud from the top of our heads. We were ecstatic to find out the new one is coming to stores soon. We have ordered it and crossed off the days on the calendar, counting days to it's arrival.
And then this sad looking, cheaply made and _broken_ (not beeping) Blue Truck toy spoiled our moods.
This book is not as nice as previous ones. Not as entertaining, not as clever, not as funny and not as cute. I am very sad, because it had potential to be yet another gem in an outstanding series.

My daughter LOVES Little Blue Truck. I bought her this book for Christmas and she's going to love it!
Unlike the other reviews, mine came in without being smushed. The plush looks fine; it all lines up correctly.

This Little Blue Truck book is a big disappointment compared to the others. I'm not a fan of the squeaking truck that sticks out of the book - you have to hit it pretty hard to make it "Beep". My toddler can't hit or squeeze it hard enough. No real story like the others, just some rhymes that are okay. My son loves being read to and loves the other Little Blue Truck Books, but wasn't at all interested when I read his new book to him tonight.

My toddler loves the little blue truck books and this was bought as a Christmas gift. The squeaker is difficult to use and the stoey leaves much to be desired. Not as captivating as the original 2 books.

received book with broken horn...disappointed. However, i probably would have returned it anyway because for the price, its kinda crappy. I LOVE the other Little Blue Truck books and so does my 2 year old. This seems like something thrown together to maximize profits. Sell a crappy book for the same amount of the other books. Oh well, to each their own.

Honestly, my sons love the Little Blue Truck series. Hence my purchasing for my 1 year old. However, while the story is cute, the "beep" is hard to get out, and requires an adult to help. Wish it was more responsive to a child. Other than that, it's cute.

Horrible, horrible book. As other reviews mentioned, very difficult to get any noise from the squeaker. My 20 year old son had a hard time getting it to work. Book was purchased as a surprise for my almost 5 yr old grandson, as he loves the other Little Blue Truck books. Don't waste your time and money.

Disappointed!!
Weak story - actually just rhymes and worse, I have trouble making the rather large stuffed truck beep. I doubt my 17 month old grandson will do any better for a long time to come.
I would save my money were I you.

I'm somewhat disappointed with this book. The original "Little Blue Truck" was a much better story. The original is my children's FAVORITE book but this one is a disappointment unfortunately. This one is very short only a few pages and a squeaky toy.

We preordered this book because our son is such a big little blue fan. I'm slightly disappointed that this "interactive" story is just a book with a squeak toy. And the squeaker is impossible for him to use at three, difficult for me too! We wouldn't have added to our collection had we been in a book store but he still enjoys it enough not to bother returning.

Very disappointed in this book! I pre-ordered it for my sons 1st birthday. He loves little blue truck and his party was actually Little Blue Truck themed. The book does not squeak and I can return/exchange it bc I'm two days out of the 30 day window...since I didn't open the book before his party!

As others have said, this book was really disappointing and pretty much a waste of money (serves me right for pre-ordering). It's a singalong book but the oversized plush car makes the images very difficult to see and isn't fun in itself. Disappointing because the other books are so great.

This book is very different from the other books in the series... It has a nice sing along but the truck's "beep" sounds like a dog's squeaky toy and it doesn't work everytime. I'm also disappointed about the size of the stuffed truck, it is so big it is awkward to store with other books on a shelf. The thickness of the pages are thin and bend easily. I would not recommend this product.

My two year old LOVES little blue, he usually tries to get me to read both of the other little blue books every night before bed. They're great books. This however, is not like them. It's a singing book, which is fine, but I actually annoy myself while singing it. It's to the tune of "If you're happy and you know it", and it's just as repetitive as that song. The beeping truck sounds like the squeaker in a chew toy, and is extremely hard to get a noise out of. I have issues with it, and my son has yet to get a successful squeak. The sized truck is also larger than expected, so it doesn't fit in a bookshelf either. Sad to say, this won't be joining our rotation of bedtime stories.

I read the reviews prior on the storyline and hard to use truck squeaker and was OK with it. But unfortunately I received it today and the truck has no squeaker whatsoever. It's not worth the hassle shipping back so I'll keep it. But just prepare yourself!
