I have read several protein-based low-carb diet and health books, including one written by a top cardiologist who I know. Although there is nothing new to me in this book, the author really explains some things better than I have seen in other books. I especially love so many protein smoothie recipes, after following a few of them, I have now changed my morning meal and often snacks to the protein shakes in this book. That alone has changed my health for the better, and that alone makes this book so worth the money!

Such a fabulous book. Kelly LeVeque's scientific approach gives credo to a more holistic approach to fueling the body vs archaic dietetic methods. As a Certified Holistic Health Coach, it's so important to me to have credible materials on-hand to refer to when client's have questions that I can't address off-hand. This book is informative, beautifully shot, well -structured, and the recipes are fantastic. Highly recommend!

Kelly was featured on Lewis Howe's podcast (which I love, you will too, go subscribe and thank me later). The 1 hour interview was so great that I immediately followed all her social media and ordered this book. Although she uses a lot of technical/sciencey terms, she breaks it down and explains things in ways that anyone will be able to grasp. I've only been having Fab Four smoothies for the last 3 days, and I can already notice a huge difference in the way I'm feeling throughout the day. It's made me more aware of listening to my body. Perfect example is that late afternoon crash. I haven't been sitting at work scrounging around for some chocolate or chips, I'm still full from a healthy, delicious lunch and my morning smoothie. Minimal changes and so far I'm feeling great! I ordered a bunch of fun things to try to incorporate better ingredients into my smoothies and can't wait to start trying some of the Fab Four meal recipes (baby steps, you know). The book was an easy read, unlike some other health/lifestyle books I've read that are so filled with technical jargon you just get lost. It was filled with actual client examples, delicious recipes and lots of tips and tricks on how to easily transistion into a healthier lifestyle. I'm so thankful I was introduced to this book!

Her book has completely changed how I look at food. Not just another cute diet book she means business and breaks down everything to a science ... literally. Smoothie recipes are amazing and her food recipes are good too. Not a ton of meal prepping but easy and clean meals. Highly recommend.

This is a very helpful book that includes grocery lists and recipes. I am still reading it but you don't need to read the entire book to benefit from its core message. Eat clean, healthy fats with fiber, protein and greens in your meals. I really like the author's attitude for not dieting but yet including ways of eating on the go, (smoothies) meal ideas and guides us what to eat in order to get back on track & balance our hunger hormones. She offers a lot of references and backs it with scientific findings. Kelly LeVeque, herself is a holistic nutritionalist, with celebrity clients, but I was more impressed by the contents of book. I couldn't believe that an avocado and spinach in a smoothie could taste sooo delicious!!

Disappointing overall. Clearly the philosophy behind this diet has worked for her, but as stated in other reviews this isn't sustainable for the average person. Not sustainable on a low income budget or a vegetarian/vegan diet. This is a teaser to introduce you to her diet plan and how her clients lost large amounts of weight very quickly, but unless you buy some one-on-one sessions with her, I don't see the average person who only reads this book losing a great deal. I would recommend borrowing this book from a library!if you're interested but nothing more.

I'm always looking for good healthy recipes to keep me on track. This book contains plenty. It is an easy quick read. She really simplifies everything and gives sound advice. I have already read all the science behind diet and nutrition and have tried several plans. Im in total agreement with all of her advice. It really works for me. I feel healthy and energetic.

Love love love Kelly! This book focuses on a mentally, emotionally, and physically healthy approach to eating. It really does change your perspective on "dieting' vs. just making healthy and delicious choices for your body every day. Her Fab 4 smoothies make breakfast the easiest meal of the day and her recipes have made packing lunch a breeze too. She gives great advice on not OVER prepping food (like how you do it for the whole week and hate you meals by Thursday) and planning for REAL LIFE to happen like: "actually I'm going to indulge in Taco Tuesday with my friends." You don't have to feel bad about not eating perfect and she teaches you how to eat right all around and not punish yourself for not adhering to some strict diet. Kelly is the bomb. Buy this book!

Just a disclaimer - I’m writing from my husbands account! I’ve been following Kelly for a few years and was so excited when she launched her book!! This book has been beyond helpful in so many ways - it’s not a diet book but a way to approach eating in a way that you can actually live with long term, she breaks down the science behind everything in a way that’s simple and easy to digest and most importantly, Kelly realizes we’re all humans and we’re not perfect and will not eat perfectly 100% of the time! But I now know what trade offs I can make, I know what indulgences I can handle and I know how to rebound from my mistakes.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone who wants a more sustainable, balanced and fact-based approach to food. Even though she digs into the science behind everything, her writing style is casual, approachable and funny - I felt like I was just having a conversation with her on my couch!

This book changed my life!! Kelly is an inspiration for anyone who is trying to live a healthier, happier life. Her ability to put complex science into simple terms, is both motivating and exciting. I've tried a number of diets without any luck,. Body Love is a lifestyle, one which you can see the results not only in your pant size, but your skin, hair and nails. I highly recommend purchasing this book!

Wow! Just wow. This easy-to-read health guide has made my life wayyy less complicated. I've been able to relax, get better sleep, see a difference in my skin, a difference in my energy levels, and my overall well being. I'm a happier, less stress person having read this book. It's like it clicked when I read Body Love. Instead of following a diet or counting calories and worrying about my weight, I'm satiated and happy! She such a sweet, funny author-- I love her personal anecdotes and ability to relate. You can really tell that she cares to make people feel better. Kelly Leveque is the real deal. Please please, can we have more!?

Really love her approach, both philosophically and in practice. Easy-to-understand explanations of the science behind blood sugar balance, which makes it easy-to-see why eating her "Fab Four" works. Reorients the traditional food pyramid we all grew up with and gives you an accessible way to eat clean(er) and healthy(ier). Last 3 chapters have tons of good info/swaps/hacks too.

This is Kelly Leveque's version of a low carbohydrate diet. I really enjoy the smoothies. Learning to make these is worth the price of the book. Once you learn the formula, the variations are endless and satisfying. It is impossible to cross reference much of what she refers to throughout the chapters. I am still trying to figure out what she means by fiber powder. I found her menus to be completely unhelpful and her chapter "A Week of Body Love" was self-absorbed and not interesting to put it kindly. I certainly don't live in the same world of healthful existentialism that she does. Just tell me what the fiber powder is. Are we talking dextrin, psyllium, Citrucel, etc. Oh well... I will just stick with my chia and flax seeds, but these will not provide me with the 10 grams (in 1-2 tablespoons) of fiber that she says I need in my Fab Four secret weapon smoothie. And she is fairly against fruit which can be another good source of fiber. I can throw an entire organic apple into my Vitamix. I am just saying...
