Before I Go

This book was sad but insightful. I really enjoyed reading it and didn't want to put it down.
I would recommend it to anyone who has a life threatening disease or is interested in how a person gets on with life when they're facing death.

Such emotion that the reader goes through brings life to the characters...you laugh with them, cry with them, worry with them...I almost couldn't control myself from skipping to the end but it was worth reading every word

I wouldn't ordinarily choose a book about battling cancer, but I was drawn to read this one since it's a local writer and set in Athens, GA. I couldn't put it down. I thought the imperfect ways the characters embraced Daisy's diagnosis rang true.

The book was written in the stream-of-consciousness technique. Very intimate. Daisy taught me that we can overcome some devastating news or event or emotion by focusing on a purpose outside of ourselves. Remarkable and selfless, she was able to focus on the needs of her husband until her passing.

This quick read is excellently written, and it stirs emotions that for must of us, are hard to experience. If you knew you were dying, what would you do? And how would you help the ones you love the most with their feelings?

This book was beautifully written. You really got to connect with the characters, and you truly get caught in the storyline. It's a must read! It's the book you cannot put down, and you feel every emotion of these two. Worth every second.
