Colleen Coble has a great imagination and a beautiful flare for showing her character's personalities. This, combined with Christianity has been a wonderful read!! I would write more, but I just HAVE to go read another series by her! Have a wonderful day :) (I can't put these books down)!

I loved this collection! I was new to Colleen Coble and took a chance. The beginning of book 1 (without a trace) seemed to move a little slow at first, but she was carefully developing her characters and story so it really was worth the time she took. The intensity grew as the book went on until I could no longer put it down. Her writing got better and better with each book...I was tempted not to read the last one (Cry In The Night) because I didn't like the story idea, but I ended up going back to it and found it to be just as good as the others...even better, really. She was able to pull off the story even though I initially thought it was a ridiculous idea. Now, I want more from Colleen Coble!! She is right up there with Terry Blackstock and Mary Higgins Clark!

The Rock Harbor series is one of my favorite series written by Colleen Coble. The main character, Bree, and her search & rescue dog, Samson, are realistic characters that you love & must follow through each suspenseful mystery. These novels are page-turners and a delight to lose yourself in. You not only read a great story in each book but you get to see the spiritual journey of many of the characters as they deal with the events in their lives. I highly recommend this entire series and it isn't just because I was born a Yooper.

This was a good series. Although they were understandable as individual stand alone books. There were a variety of subjects in addition to the search and rescue, to keep it interesting--animal conservation, Finnish culture, autism--to name a few. Parts were predictable, and parts were ridiculous (spoiler)...undiagnosed twins, but Bree deserved her happy ending, right!?

Characters are well developed and the town believable. The first three books were well written and entertaining. I found the 4th book too similar in plot to the 3rd one. 5th book was super short, a novella, almost an after thought. I believe Laurie's story, could have been more developed.

This is one of my favorite mystery series!! Felt like I knew the characters personally. My favorite book in this series was "Silent Night". My least favorite was "Abomination" just because I don't like books about serial killers. Try these books, you won't regret it!!

As each of these Rock Harbor stories unfolded, I found myself picturing the snow and ice so foreign to my neck of the woods and shivering on the inside. Too bad it was only imaginary chill as I sweat in the 100 degree temps down here in South Texas! I enjoyed the opportunity to imagine what living and working in the UP might be like, so different from this hot, arid climate where A.C. is a must 3/4ths if the Year. Colleen is a great suspenseful story teller who kept me on the edge of my seat through this sequel series. I fell in love with Bree' s brave dog and strong mother -in-law, Anu. I might have to look up the recipe for pulla! Thank you Colleen, for drawing me into one if your inspiring heroine's adventures once again! I enjoyed this series immensly!

Seriously. So. Many. From main character introductions all the way to the ending novella, the mysteries, suspense, and romance of it all will keep you turning the page. Oh, and I now need to visit the UP.
