This book was better than I anticipated and was interesting in that it involved an Egyptian perspective on the events surrounding the time of Moses and the exodus from Egypt. Suspenseful and somewhat unpredictable. Characters are growing on me and I am looking forward to reading book 2.

I loved the characters they were very believable, and the location was very well portrayed. The editing is fair there were a few glitches. I am anxious to read the next book in the series and I will recommend it to my friends and family.

This is an awe inspired account that breathes life and dimension into the book of Exodus. This book is well written. I felt drawn into the story, almost as if I were right there with the characters all along the way. I also picked up some Biblical insights that had not yet occurred to me. I especially liked the notion that God sang His creation into being.

I loved this book & have begun the series. It is well written & I love all the history that makes God's Word come alive. It's obviously fiction, but you could very easily feel like you were right there! I so enjoy reading Christian fiction that is rooted in real events. You can tell she did her homework & it just illumined the stories of the Exodus in a believable way.

A precious story of God's love and protection. Told very well. The story pulled me in so deep I felt I was in the midst of the story giving me a deeper appreciation for the Word of God and the history of His people. Can hardly wait for the next book in the series...

THIS WAS SUCH A DIFFERENT APPROACH TO THE WELL KNOWN VERSION OF MOSES LEADING THE SLAVES OUT OF EGYPT. I COULDN'T PUT IT DOWN! READ IT IN ONE DAY. I THOROUGHLY ENJOYED AN INTIMATE LOOK INTO THE LIVES OF A FEW FAMILYS DURING THAT TIME.

Biblical fiction has always amazed me -- how an author could take a person out of the scripture and have the imagination to tell a story like it might have been. This story of the well-known exodus from eyes of a young Egyptian girl who went with them was fascinating.

This was a beautifully written story. The author's research is apparent and I thoroughly enjoyed reading her take on Moses and the Hebrews' exodus from Egypt. This is a book that I know I will read again and again.

The Book of Exodus relayed through the narrative of an Egyptian slave. Depicts what it was like faced with the plagues and coming to know the one true God of the Hebrews, Yahweh. Admittedly, I reread Exodus to ensure accuracy which made it a double pleasure.

WOW! What a wonderfully written book. Thank you for making the trek so real. This is a re-readable book. You find that there are parts that seem to even mean more to you than the 1st time that you read it.

I liked the heroine and her journey towards faith, and the depiction of the political and social conflicts at play. And yay for a Jewish romance hero! That's something you rarely find and I enjoyed it.

Amazing, captivating story telling set in an accurate account of the biblical Exodus. Connilyn Cossette paints beautiful word pictures with a perfect balance of detail and continuity. Faith filled pages encouraged and strengthened me. I loved this book. Other than my Bible, this is the best book I've read in a long time. I will certainly invest in the sequels.

Loved all of the historical details and descriptions. I also appreciated that this was fiction set in Biblical times rather than trying to make an actual historic person into a fictional character. Intriguing and satisfying read!!

I really enjoyed this book. Seeing the Exodus from this perspective was a great eye opener. I realize this is not the way the story is written in the bible but looking at it as to all the Hebrews and others had to go through...wow! Great Read!

I found the story fascinating being told by an Egyptian who believed in many gods. I've read the exodus story many times in the Bible , but from a believer in God point of view. It's so well-written, I couldn't put it down! Can't wait to read the sequel ;)

Great Biblical historical fiction putting you right in the midst of the plagues of Egypt through the life of an Egyptian girl. The departure from Egypt with the Hebrews and their early wandering in the wilderness are magnificently portrayed!

Well told tale that makes the story of the exodus from Egypt come alive. Woven into the tale of millions leaving Egypt is the very personal tale of a young Egyptian girl fleeing with the Jews who falls in love during the journey.
