These books were well written with interesting characters and story line. It was nice to have three books together so when I finished one, I was able to go straight to the next. When I finished the last book in this set, I ordered the next two.

I thoroughly enjoyed this and loved the biblical references. When it continued onto another book I thought getting into sexual trafficking took away from the homesomeness of it otherwise I would have given it a 5'

Enjoyed the different perspectives, following the generations, and the old world languages incorporated into the story. Authentic facts of living on the prairie. The Biblical references were well chosen, and not overwhelming. I wasn't ready to end the book.

A wonderful story, covering lives of several interesting characters. Their hardships were many but their faith and belief in God helped them overcome many hardships. I laughed and I cried, was so sad when I finished this great read.

The first two books were my favorites. I felt like I really got to know the main characters. I wish there had not been so much repetition in the second book when told from Jan's point of view. I skipped some of that. This was a great read during all this cold December weather!

Was thought provoking, convicting...good read. Would highly recommend this author. The characters were real, and had very real problems, that were not always resolved in a happy ending. But it was God honoring.

This is first 5 star I've given. Excellent written. Had me captivated from first chapter. Can't express enough how well written. Reading this author will spoil you to others. Must read for all romance lovers.

Very enjoyable read. Engaging characters in challenging circumstances, living out their faith. The third book was very different than the first two, almost a little too "out there" to be believable, but still interesting enough to want to finish.

I am only two thirds through this three part series, but it is very well written. Maybe the Norwegian accent is a bit heavy later on. I don't recall Norwegian immigrants using 'da' instead of 'the' as much as they do in this book.
