this is a phenomenal read. the characters are stunningly.developed. human, flawed with baggage, fears and the ability to grow beyond themselves, to.be open to new possibilities and grow stronger. the story is engaging with a few unexpected plot twists that call.for greater strength and development. I cannot strongly enough recommend her works and hope she continues to write more like this

Loved it. The writing was excellent. I like to read a book where there are no mistakes. There was suspense, and romance, but not over done. Kept me turning the page. Will read more by this author. This was such a good book.

great book . Love this author and seek out her titles. this one did NOT disappoint. This book has a HUGE twist which took me by surprise. Especially the way Gage handled it. Glad he got it together and LOVE prevailed..

This is my second book from Kindle Alexander. Her book "Always" was a great book so I am reading her other books. I will be comparing all other books to "Always" because it was such an excellent m/m love story & "The Current Between Us" was also an excellent book - another hit.

While the writing, other than a penchant for the over-use of "slanting his mouth over," was fine the book felt overly simple. I can find the occasional straight-forward romance refreshing, but this is the first book I've read where it really felt like a m/f romance with the woman's gender switched. Both characters never have any mental consideration of their instant falling in love, much less angst. They just felt like stand-ins for rounded characters so the author could focus on the romance. I was impressed by the portrayal of the children & the idealized dedication all the adults showed for them and found those passages compelling. Overall, though, I'd re-read the Cut & Run series rather than try another by this author.

This story will make you believe in love again. Not only will you laugh at times but you will cheer for them and at times cry for them. The question you need to ask yourself is,what would you do for the love of your life to ensure their safety. I wish there was a continuation to this story, j loved it so much.

The plot was excellent. The main characters admirable, loving, sexy hot, kind and true to their passion and love for each other. All of the minor characters were 'fleshed out' so you knew their motives and they felt like important parts if the story. An excellent book! Thank you Kindle!

This is a wonderful story of love and family between 2 wonderful men. This was my first story by this author, but I immediately purchased her backlist. I loved this story, and I cannot wait to read her other stories. Thank you for writing a story that really made me happy. This is definitely going on my best of 2013 list.

I loved this book. The children were terrific and I fell in love with them as much as I did the main characters. The story was engaging and hooked me from start to finish. It had just the right amount of angst without over the top. I found the story a pleasure to read.

What a great Author. Texas Pride is still my favorite book but this is still a five star book . The intensity in which Gage loves Trent and the kids kept me glued to this story. I really did not want it to end.

I enjoyed reading The Current Between Us. There were some parts of the story that didn't seem believable but over all It was a good story. It kind of seemed to move fast but it took a day and a half to finish the entire book.

Adorable book!
I loved Em and Hunter, they completely made this story.
The only thing I felt was a little rushed was the 'love' aspect. But I thought it was still a great story.

I love Ms. Alexander's works because they are soooooooooo romantic. This story revolves around Trent, a master electrician who lives a simple life carrying for his dead sister's two children. Trent takes his parenting seriously and it's shows with two adorable characters in Hunter and Emi. We meet Gage Synclair when Trent wins the bid to do the electrical job for Gage's new gallery. Gage is a hard hitting journalist who is considered the top in his field. Trent is a fan having read, watched everything Gage has done. It's a dream job for Trent which could open more doors for his business. Gage is a loner who has only one night stands. His independence comes abruptly to an end when he sees the handsome electrician. He can't get him out of his head, or out of his dick. He is determined to make the guarded Trent his, no matter what. There are lots of contributing characters, lots of lovely sex and a wonderful plot twist that threatens everyone's happiness.
It's a "perfect summer romance". I give it an electrical jolt of stars.

This was my first Kindle Alexander book, but certainly not my last. The love story between Trent and Gage was so beautiful. So many m/m books are mostly about the sex but this story was more focused on the love and desire. The family dynamic between Trent, the kids, Rhonny and Auntie Crazy was very endearing. Then add Gage to the mix and it was complete. I laughed and cried and wanted to be a part of this wonderful family. Then the twist - YIKES! My heart was breaking for them. I am a fan for life and will read anything Kindle puts out!

besides an interesting plot, I really love this author's writing style.
The warmth that you can feel from reading, how words are chosen, and the flowing of them.
No exactly same words and same phrases being used repeatedly to make you feel boring, and the story just flow beautifully along the river not just circulating in one fixed narrow pond. This give me another great reading time.
For a romance novel, like Texas Pride, there are many turns and twists that kept me feel wonder (in a good way), not an easy predictable romance novel like many out there.
And I want to say that, the author made me feel that she's really enjoy her writing and to please the reader not only for just a good and beautiful full story, but the economic aspect too.
Look at the length of the novels and the price (same as Texas Pride). It worth and worth !! Great novel at easily touchable price ! I'm so thankful for her generous mind.

Kindle has done it again with The Current Between Us!!! She pulls you in and gets you to fall in love with characters, but how could you not. You have Gage who is HOT and SEXY!! He has traveled the world for his job and with his last big score and with the opening of the gallery he can start a new chapter in his life in hopes with the right someone. Then you have DREAMY Trent a single dad that you just want to wrap in your arms and never let go. When I think of Trent all I want to do is GROWL!!!!!! Kindle weaves a tale with twist and turns that YOU NEVER SEE COMING!!!!! IT'S SUCH A WOW MOMENT!!!!!! Once you read this book you will be hooked!!!!!

This was a very touching and moving love story. The author gave just enough back story to make the characters come alive, and still managed to work in several twists i didn't see coming. Very good, kept me captivated to get the that HEA.

I really enjoyed this story. Very hot characters and a really good plot, I just wished it was longer to go more in-depth with the plot, especially towards the end of the book. I felt the author rushed it to finish the story quicker. The author definitely could of expanded more and maybe made this a full on novel.

Kindle Alexander has a gift for creating engaging characters. In The Current Between Us, Trent and Gage become men I learned to care about.
Unfortunately, the subplot involving "Abdullah" is incoherent and at the end, a bit too tidy.
And though Alexander describes herself as an "innovative writer," she has not yet earned that right. This novel was plagued with punctuation and grammatical errors on virtually every page. Certainly a published author (or her editor) should know the distinction between "lie" and "lay," should rewrite run-on sentences, and should understand the protocol for antecedents of pronouns. Alexander does not. She confuses "decent" with "descent."
I won't go on. Learn your craft or hire an editor.

It shares lots of similarities to Up In Arms: highly successful and well known stunning blonde player falls almost instantly in love with a quiet, somewhat insecure and lonely man who thinks he's ordinary but is really very handsome and whose inate goodness speaks to the player's jaded soul. The insecurities of the 'ordinary' MC puts up a number of barriers which the confident player just bulldozes through until a 'catastrophic' event almost derails things until it's all sorted and true love prevails. Despite this over the top formulaic approach both books ooze a kind of compulsive charm and warmth where you root for the player to get his man and you feel desperately sorry for the quiet guy and hope he finds the chutzpah to overcome his insecurities and grab the golden prince. Kindle gives her characters kind souls, genuine friends and in this book children who squabble like your own brood and overall a kind of grounded realness which balances the melodrama and harlequin romance.

The pun in the title carries on throughout the story. The heartwarming tale of the main character's veracity hooked me into the plot of this story hook, line and sinker. I found the entire story totally credible.
